Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Lone Eagle condos for the last 4 or so times we've skied Keystone. Lone Eagle spoils you! It's perfect for ski-in, ski-out convenience, and which is great with a group & kids. I'm glad our unit was on the second floor, as the elevator was not working (and seemingly has been on the fritz since July based on other reviews; hope the HOA resolves this soon). It also seemed that the hot tub was having problems with heat, so hope the HOA can address this as well. This particular condo was the least nice unit we've stayed in. As mentioned by others, the furniture is literally shredded and falling apart. The wifi did not work. The oven was dirty and smoked out the condo when preheated. The carpet was frayed and dirty looking. So, definitely not up to the standards other condos at Lone Eagle have set, but it was well priced for the accommodations and location.

But keep in mind that this is an old condo complex. There is only one elevator for the entire building of probably 50 condos. And the last two years I have stayed there it has been broken! So be prepared to hike up a lot of stairs with your luggage and gear. You really want to book on the first or second floor. The furniture must have been original: all was worn, threadbare or broken. Reminded me of a college apartment. But you don’t need to worry about any damage - it is already there. Cleaning was minimal, but I always bring my own supplies and only took a few minutes to ensure it was disinfected. Appliances are workable (had a cheap replacement microwave to use while the actual one was broken). But the beds were good although a bit sof for us. We came to ski, so really don’t care about these things, just keep your expectations low. The ski locker room is very good. Fire pit wasn’t working and based on overall cleanliness I stayed out of the hot tub. Parking garage is limited if you are there during peak weeks; especially for a large Yukon XL type SUV air truck. If you expect to use the ski school, this place would not be convenient.

Microwave broken. No king bed. Master shower tile in disrepair. Ceiling fans wobble and ceiling lights are located above the fan; so you get strobe lights. Elevator broken. Hot tub not hot.

The 2nd bedroom was tiny and hardly room to walk. This should not be labeled to sleep more than 4. The only big skillet had stuff stuck to it and was bent. The spatula was melted on the end and could not be used. The owners of this unit need to restock cookware and fix the headboards. There was a gap between the mattress and headboards and your pillow falls through. It was the worst experience I have ever had here. For a two bedroom it was the smallest unit we have ever stayed in.

The summit employees we spoke to were very friendly & we understand it is out of their control. We have visited Keystone for our annual family trip for the past decade however, we will look into a different mountain next year.

Enjoyed the location, but the very tight parking situation and no place for unloading/loading of a second vehicle was unusual. The ski in/ski out is wonderful, but this is a short walk to River Run and not in the River Run village itself.

If you want to stay in place that has holes in the furniture, mildew in the shower, dirty clothes, dishes and food under beds from previous guests, flickering electrical lights, dust dripping from the vent and ceiling fans everything was gross. Very unsanitary. I contact to management they only wanted to come while we were in the room which is very uncomfortable during a vacation. I said we could go out to dinner and they could come but the said the timing didn’t work for them. The point is you should never have to contact management over these things in the first place these are small details that should always been taken care of before any guest arrives. Definitely my mistake for not reading reviews more clearly because this unit has had lower reviews. We have stayed at this resort in years past at a different unit and have had a good experience. This time the unit and management are not up to any of the standard previous standards I have experienced. Hot tub and pool didn’t look like clean water. So we never went in. I could go on more and post pictures. But I’m not. Just know you have been warned. Your better off staying off site in a better unit and driving or walk to the gondola. We have always loved Keystone to go snowboarding. Very disappointing the effort from management was a lot of wasted communication and no true effort. The still is we should have never had to contact them in the first place. Enjoy Keystone just not here.

Stay was great. Condo is lacking in cooking utensils. Very little skillets to cook breakfast with. Shower heads are terrible with spray and pressure. Loved the location.

For the price paid, the dishwasher flooded and would not clean the dishes, it made us sick at our stomachs to think that we used dishes and utensils that were used by the previous occupants and not cleaned and sanitized. The microwave threw sparks from the light when we attempted to use it. The furniture was worn out and in need of repair.

This is a great place to stay next to Keystone Mountain. Easy access to skiing and to the shops/restaurants in River Run. The property is in great shape with underground parking and a nice pool/spa area.

Our condo was great. It has plenty of utensils and cookware. Does not have a view of the slopes though just the parking lot. It was quiet and a nice place to stay.

This property is in a good location, but all of the furniture and carpet need updated. There is not much of a view. A short walk to River Run.

If you’re looking for ski in/ski out you can’t beat this location, at the base of River Run gondola and a short walk into the village for food and shops. There is plenty of space in the living area, although the furniture could definitely be updated it was a little worse for the wear. The bedrooms are good sized and comfortable. Kitchen was spacious and well appointed. Overall a great stay.

Everything was great -- getting skis on from the locker room and stepping onto the slopes is great. Condo was fully stocked, everything worked, and it was very comfortable.

Prior to arrival, we received NO information about limited access to the hot tub and pool, and I assumed access would be explained in our welcome packet. It was not. I finally went to he spa area and found a QR code to reserve space. Ever slot for the entire week was booked. That sucked. I know this is a Keystone issue, but if you all know about this and can warn us ahead of time, that would be the least consideration.

Also, you might suggest that with limited access due to covid, units should be limited to one session per stay or that all guests should be guaranteed at least one session per visit, to either accept or decline.

The beds/mattress are horrible. The furniture is very dated and tore up. The location of the unit is great but the furniture and bedding is not acceptable. Please consider updating because the location is perfect. Summit County Mountain Retreat is great to work with.
