Excellent location was so peaceful and very quiet. Beach And water area perfect for any age we had a 2 yr old with us water shallow at the edge and plenty of sand to play in. Owners have thought of everything you could need . Property was extremely clean and well organized. Very relaxing get away . If we get up in that area again we will definitely stay again. We spent the long Memorial Day weekend here and it was beyond our wildest expectations. The beach area was cozy and kept the kids entertained all day. The house was so comfortable, from the large windows and balcony to the spiral staircase. We spent the one chilly overcast day exploring the dunes and nearby towns. Driving through the tree lined roads was so much fun. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer!

The cottage is exactly as represented in pictures and description. Meg was wonderful to communicate with and easily accessible via text when we were there.

We stayed here with our 2 small children and had a blast. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Meg was available to help us and easy to communicate with. We love architecture and appreciated the unique style of the cabin. We had a blast at the private beach and had fun using the fire pit and roasting marshmallows. We also enjoyed how close the property was to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Frankfort. Looking forward to hopefully staying again.

This location is the perfect to check out the Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan, but also great for relaxation and play on Crystal Lake. The home had everything needed, and a wonderful view of the lake. Kayaks and sand toys were a huge plus!

Unique home on quite road with private beech and dock. Host was very accommodating and communicative. Home was cozy, clean, and has a great lake view from the balcony patio. Kitchen, laundry, were stocked with supplies, plenty of towels, blankets and sheets. Lots of seating on the beach. Beach is stocked with plenty of chairs, toys, kayaks, and canoe. Short drive to national parks, amazing hikes and views. Highly recommend Frankfort for meals and shopping. In sum, our family enjoys off-season, no fuss, no crowds, type of vacations. The area was perfect as was our host and their property

Cozy house with amazing private beach, dock, and gazebo across the street. Sitting on the dock in the morning was incredibly peaceful. The water was shallow enough my 4yr old could play in it. There were lots of things already there like kayaks, beach toys for kiddos, board games inside - it made it easy to stay occupied. Location is close to Sleepy Bear dunes and Frankfort for dinners. Loved our stay!

The house had everything we needed for a comfortable place to relax after being on the lake! They have thought of everything and the little details make a world of difference. We so enjoyed this property. The house is a little quirky, but so much fun, and I love the decorations. The beach was private, across the road, but super convenient. The beach had a cabana two kayaks, two paddleboard‘s, and a canoe right there. The small shed was full of all kinds of toys and life vest. The lake was crystal clear. We enjoyed Seeing sleeping bear dunes, Frankfurt, traverse, wineries, and just enjoying the lake itself always HM with Lake Michigan too. We loved the large deck overlooking the lake & ate breakfast or lunches there each day. Meg couldn’t have been nicer, accommodating, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. I would recommend this place to family or friends, but do you know that the third bedroom has a bathroom you have to walk through to get to it, and Stairs are spiral, so if you have anyone with balance issues or older people, you might want to consider this. Otherwise, we loved everything about it!

We absolutely loved our stay at Meg's cottage. Our week here went by so quickly, and we were so not ready to go home when it was over. The cottage itself was beautiful, you can tell that there has been some updates done, but the character of the home remains. We had a family vacation consisting of 6 people, and we had more than enough room without feeling crowded at all. The location of the cottage was amazing, you're a quick drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City. The private beach was the best part-We spent a majority of our time in the water swimming, paddle boarding, boating, kayaking and fishing. The crystal clear water was unlike anything you would expect from a lake, and at night the water was so calm it was like glass. I will miss sitting on the paddle board and watching the sunset and sitting on the beach watching the millions of stars at night. We were so lucky to have stumbled across this listing and booked this cottage, and we could not have asked for a better vacation. The owner was always extremely responsive, and always made sure to let me know that they were there in case we needed anything at all, which I appreciated. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We can't wait to be back!

It was just as described and my family enjoyed it. From smore's on the beach, fishing crystal lake, kids swimming, and relaxing in the mornings and evening on deck, it was all perfect for our short getaway. Plus located close to many area attractions. Plus Meg was very responsive to the few questions we had (she had answered most before we even had to ask).

The rental met our expectations. Very nice location near a beautiful village. The cabana near the lake was fabulous.
