The property was great! The location was perfect! The house was clean and extremely comfortable. It had great entertaining space, great relaxing space, a spacious property for sure! The property owner was easy to communicate with. The house was perfect for 4 couples. Each had their own en- suite. Beds were comfortable! I would rent this property again and again. !

Do not hesitate to book Ocean Beach! It is in the perfect location - just across the dunes from the beach, unobstructed view of the ocean, right down the road from the main shopping area. The house has everything you will need and the furnishings are gorgeous. We spent many relaxing and pleasurable hours on the front decks. We were particularly pleased with the completely outfitted kitchen, including a wide array of spices and condiments. We've stayed in many beach homes that didn't even supply salt and pepper, so not having to transport/buy these necessities was a joy. Owner was immediately responsive and helpful. You will have a great beach vacation at this house! We sure did.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is nicely decorated, comfortable and very well-equipped for cooking and relaxing. The upper deck is the perfect place to view the sunset and the screened porch off the main bedroom is the perfect morning coffee spot. We enjoyed the ocean views and the very close beach access. The owners were very informative and responsive before and during our stay. We will definitely stay at Ocean Beach again.

We came to BHI for a large family reunion. This was one of a few properties we stayed in. My sister and I and our families stayed here and we cant say enough about how perfect our stay was. Not only is the home the perfect beachfront home for views of the ocean, porch rocking and reading, and late night movies, but it was also stocked with all the essentials - boogie boards, beach chairs, island carts, beach towels, comfortable beds, a washer and dryer and plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook and there were two refrigerators for plenty of room for food and cold beverages. Hugh was very responsive and helpful, and the location is idyllic. We only wish we could have stayed longer - but we will be back!

This was our fourth trip to BHI, and our first time at this house. We have stayed in many vacation homes over the past 30 years throughout NC and VA. This is one of the best we have stayed in. The location is perfect - easy access to the beach and the market. But the house itself is so well stocked. Everything that you can imagine you might need it has. Kitchen - every pot, pan, dish, spice or plate you might need. Bar - every glass, plastic cup, blender, mixer you might need they have in volume. Coffee bar - grinder, filters, sugar all right there. Beach - from beach towels to nice beach chairs to boogie boards - plenty of all. Grills - a gas one that the ignition actually worked on, and a charcoal one - both in good shape. Beds - most comfortable beds we have experienced at a vacation house. The house itself is well designed - decks in the sun, decks in the shade, and a screened in porch. And on top of it all the owner it very communicative and easy to deal with. Not only do we highly recommend this house, we have already booked it again for next year. Can't wait to get back!

Hugh is an incredibly responsive and generous host. This house is the most well-equipped beach house we’ve ever rented - beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys galore plus the most well-equipped kitchen you could ask for. Sunny deck, shaded deck, screened deck or Sandy play area with kids swings and a porch swing, you have every option imaginable for family space or quiet space. Living room and dining room are great for family games, and the second fridge in the garage really helps!

Had a wonderful time on BHI’s South Beach. This house was impeccable, thoughtfully appointed and fully stocked with everything you need. We cook constantly when on vacation and had everything needed to cook and bake to our heart’s content. We enjoyed exceptional views of the beach, sunrises and sunsets from all decks and porches. The owners were terrific and quickly responsive to all questions. We highly recommend this house!

This house has everything we were wanting. Great ocean views and wonderful decks for hanging out. We appreciated the covered area under the house and the large outdoor shower! The kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms are comfy. Hugh is extremely responsive. We will definitely be back.

I love to cook and I never find a vacation home that can accommodate all my cooking equipment needs but this home has it all! We cooked delicious meals each night, spent our days strolling and playing along the beaches and nights were spent on the balcony stargazing to the sounds of the waves crashing nearby. The hosts have truly thought of every detail to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We have stayed at many homes on BHI but none as perfect as this. Our six adults and three children fit into this property perfectly. Nicely appointed and equipped, clean, multiple patios with beautiful views with a very short walk to the beach on a quiet cul-de-sac. Kind of pricey but worth it!

We had a wonderful time in this home. It is centrally located to access either end of the island (town and East Beach.) The home has a beach access right in front of it too so you're only a short walk away to South Beach. The view from the top deck is amazing. Kitchen was well stocked with whatever you need should you like to cook.

Great location ….end of a culdesac….boardwalk right there. Has the best high porch sitting area on the street. Just awesome when sun goes down. Master is very private and away from the hustle of the house.

great location (proximity to market, beach, marina) & great views. views from the middle level are wonderful and the crow's nest on the 3rd floor is an added bonus. the house is well cared for, organized, and with quality accessories in the kitchen, bathrooms, and everywhere in between. it is obvious that the owners take great pride in the ownership of the house. we come to bald head every year and this house ranks at the top of our list; we will absolutely stay here again!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the house. Very comfortable home with many luxury touches. Upper deck is the best view of Ocean as well as outdoor shower has HOT and cold running water --- so nice. All bedrooms were very nice so no one felt like they got the short end of the stick. I would definitely rent again. Added bonus owners are super friendly too!

This is a beautiful home with gorgeous beach views and fabulous porches. I have rented several houses on BHI in the past 10 years, and this one has quickly become our family's favorite. The ocean views are truly rare for BHI, as the house is situated on a gentle curve of the coastline allowing for more expansive beach and water views. Additionally, the upstairs porch is higher than most BHI porches and provides for a truly exceptional vista. The quality of the furnishings indoors and out, as well as all linens, is excellent. The outside shower is a treat, and the grills were in good working condition. My only wish list item would be to add a traditional glass window to the window-sized opening in the upstairs bedroom to help with the noise from below. The owner is incredibly professional, pleasant and responsive. I can't say enough good things about our overall experience, and we definitely hope to rent this home in the future.

We had such a wonderful stay at Ocean Beach. The house had absolutely everything you might need, and the location can’t be beat. We spent lots of time on the beautiful deck, slept well in the comfy beds. and enjoyed exploring the island from the perfectly central location. Thanks so much for having us!
