Home was very clean in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was well appointed, immaculate and in a good central location. It was a peaceful place to come back to every day after a long hike. The owners responded quickly to messages and provided helpful insight about the surrounding area.This will remain our vrbo of choice when in Black Mountain. Thank you!

Property was close to all activities we wanted to do during our stay. Kitchen was well equipped (except for non working coffee makers). Heating and ac worked well. However, one week after we returned home, we became infected with bed bugs. Therefore, we suspect that we may have brought them home with us.

The home is such a beautiful, well equipped, peaceful, comfortable and absolutely immaculate space.

This place is a gem! It is in a great location, quiet, peaceful and yet, close to town. The property is well appointed and very clean. The town of Black Mountain is a gem as well! Wonderful restaurants and lovely shops greet you and the Ingle’s market close by has every grocery food, wine and related item you could imagine. The surrounding area is breathtaking. The Biltmore Estate is minutes away in Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway is close by as are wonderful hiking trails, waterfalls and mountain vistas. During our two week stay we went somewhere new each day and there was something wonderful to see and experience at every turn! Having our lovely home to return to at days end was a welcome bonus! All in all it is hard to imagine a better place to be.

My college roommate and I (from many years past) had a wonderful stay in your charming, spotless, and oh-so-comfortable cottage. This is my second stay here and I’m already planning another visit for the fall. So close to so much…hiking, Black Mountain, great restaurants and shops and a fantastic yoga studio too! Everything was spotless and very comfortable. We loved all the amenities (great kitchen set up!) and the ease of access to downtown Black Mountain. We hope to return next year!.

The house was very clean and exactly as shown. The beds slept great. They had a Christmas tree nicely decorated in the living room. It was off the main road so it was nice and quiet. We had a great time and hope to stay here on our next visit.

Peaceful location and the home was immaculate. We would definitely stay again, and I can't say that about the home I rented last year.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The home was as described in the listing and very clean and tidy. A quick drive to downtown where we found ample parking. Would definitely recommend to fAmily and friends.

We spent 8 nights at this cute little place in mid September, 2021. It was perfect for the two of us, but really is big enough for a larger group. We only used one of the two bedrooms, slept well, showered, cooked a few meals, did laundry, spent some time online and generally used it as our place to regroup after long days out and about, visiting Black Mountain and the greater Asheville area. The owners were responsive and very quick to take care of a couple of minor issues. We'd definitely rent this unit again.

Cottage was comfortable, well stocked, close to town, and clean. Easy access to Ashville and a day trip to Grandfather Mountain rounded out the week. Over all a wonderful stay.

Mackenzie Manor was just the right place for my family during our stay in Black Mountain. Mackenzie Manor was fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was great and the house was very comfortable and relaxing. I would highly recommend Mackenzie Manor to anyone wanting to visit the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

Shane and Rebecca’s place is extremely clean and well equipped. They truly have thought of everything - phone charging stations, kitchen equipment and even added a fire pit table in the back yard while we were there! The setting is beautiful, but no walkable to downtown Black Mountain, you need to drive. Would definitely come back!!

We loved it so much that we are hoping to return someday soon! This little house had everything that we needed and we loved the location and town of Black Mountain. Thank you Rebecca and Shane for helping to make our first visit to the Asheville area so wonderful!

The place was EXACTLY as advertised and was perfect for our long weekend in Black Mountain. Just five minutes or less to downtown and 20 or so to Asheville, the location is perfect. And the house has been so tastefully renovated. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We would definitely stay again if available the next time we’re looking for a long weekend away!

Beautifully decorated property that was exactly as pictured and described. Really appreciated how clean it was. Had to reach out to property manager for a question and they answered immediately and were very helpful.

We needed a place with a living area to play games, watch movies, and just recoop from 2020. This little home was perfect- away from the noise of downtown Ashville, no neighbors with barking dogs, yet close enough to get to many wonderful sight seeing spots including Chimney Rock Park, Dollywood, and the Biltmore. Everything about this house was fantastic. The online description was entirely accurate, the house was immaculate, everything seemed brand new and all was in working order. The location is very convenient for accessing nearby hiking trails and taking advantage of Black Mountain town. We loved our long weekend and look forward to coming back and staying at this property!

We are in Black Mountain every summer for Crestridge Girls camp pick up. This year we were staying for the Spartan Race and wanted a comfortable place close to camp and race start. It was perfect! All the comforts of home at a great rate. Rebecca was so accommodating and and quick to respond to any questions. We hiked Catawba Falls, shopped/dined in Black Mountain and Asheville, got muddy at Spartan race and topped it off ziplining The Gorge.

The property was exactly as advertised and just outside of beautiful Black Mountain. Definitely recommended!
