To say that this listing was excellent would be an understatement. From start to finish, everything about the stay was amazing. Myself and 13 others ventured here for my birthday and to get away from the busyness of our day to day life. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine on the kitchen counter, and a spotless home with everything that we would need there already. Huge thank you to the property manager!

This was a great property for a large family stay. The grounds were beautiful. Lots of room in the Kitchen Area/ Great Room for a family to gather. It had everything we needed, including games for kids to play. There was not an event scheduled when we were there.

The house has the perfect layout for a bride to get ready and not see her husband to be! Such beautiful weather on our wedding weekend! Going up to the house as husband and wife felt just like home for us!!

We all enjoyed our stay and it was clean, relaxing and somewhat private. We just enjoyed some really fun and relaxing family time. We had children and adults and it felt very safe and refreshing. A short distance to snow and mountain town history that we all enjoyed together. Thankful for my family and for the very special and memorable time there together.

We had booked Rough and Ready Vineyards for my daughter's wedding, and after having initially thought the guest house rental was not needed, we changed our mind and I am so glad we did. The venue has no other place for the bride to get ready or hide out, so unless you are arriving ready for the ceremony to start, you need this house. We had a welcome reception the night before, had bridesmaids and other wedding helpers spend the night, had a place for the bride to have hair and make up done, get dressed, etc. Everyone thought the house was great. Fully equipped, good communication from manager contact, would be a great place for a multi-family getaway or reunion. Would recommend Tiffany and the Rough and Ready crew - a smoke alarm going off was immediately addressed by them! Thanks to all!

This place worked out well for a family get together. Plenty of room for those who stayed the night and those who came for the day. Comfortable and relaxing setting. Host was responsive to some changes I needed to make.

This home was exactly what we needed for our family reunion. Plenty of room . Well stocked with supplies. Lovely grounds. The decor is a a bit worn and dated, but it was clean. Felt like visiting Grandma’s house.

This place is managed and ran like a joke. We booked this venue for our wedding and will never recommend it to anyone because of the horrible management and owners. The coordinator was so anal about time that we ended up rushing through our ceremony and dinner, she was more like a prison warden then a coordinator. They had false advertisement on the listing for the house then tried to take a certain room away from us that was clearly posted as part of the entire house rental. When we checked out all my family and friends helped clean the house and they only gave us half of our cleaning deposit back because they claimed they had to call in professionals to remove some tin foil from the oven that we put down so the oven would NOT get messy. DO NOT HAVE A WEDDING HERE OR STAY ITS A OUTDATED CRAPPY RAN ESTABLISHMENT!

A short drive away. Our family found this property exactly what we were looking for. Quiet solitude on a sprawling property that makes you feel at home. The accommodations were ideal for our large family, which makes you feel like you're in the country side while also being very close to town for anything you might need. Tiffany was very accommodating with our needs, and we would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some peace of mind and lots of room.

It was a refreshing staycation. Large property with enough space to relax and stroll around. Scenic surroundings and large grass areas for children to run and play around. We were able to get the desired break and a refreshing outing.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property in Penn Valley. The house was large and well set up for our family. The children had a great time exploring their grounds, seeing deer, horses and their cats. It felt very private and secluded and allowed for access to some of the fantastic hikes in the area. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The home was very clean, well stocked and laid out with information sheets everywhere. The beautiful garden was in full bloom and the birds were amazing. It's a large space and yet it feels very cozy and warm. I highly recommend this house.

Rough and Ready Vineyard was perfect for our family of six adults and four children. It's proximity to Grass Valley and Nevada City as well as Lake Wildwood was perfect. Furnishing were a bit dated but that was part of the charm. Be aware that everything is on the second floor, it was not problem for our family, just be aware. At night, we had a fire in the wood burning stove which kept things toasty. Have already recommended it to friends.

We love staying at the rough and ready guesthouse!! Tiffany and Jorge were very attentive and communicative. We will be back!

We have stayed at many homes over the past 18 years and this was definitely the best so far! We had so much space for our family of eight and our pets. The house is absolutely beautifuland the rooms and beds are so comfortable! There are several rooms and three bathrooms! Plenty of hot water and everything worked! The indoor temperature was prefect! We had everything we needed! It is super clean and very welcoming. It is in a perfect location with a gorgeous landscape and yard that gave us a lot of space for peace and quiet and room to play outside games too! I really cannot say enough good things about this home! It is PERFECT for a family visit or a wedding venue! We want to go back again!!!! Thank you so much for making a Christmas trip a HUGE success!

This is a very charming quiet retreat. Our family had a wonderful a Thanksgiving here.

This was a wonderful property. We had out of town family and there was plenty of space. We were even able to have the rehearsal party for 50 people on the property. Tiffany made sure everything was perfect.

We had a fabulous time at the Rough and Ready Vineyard. Exploring the property was so much fun! The rooms with the twin beds are on the opposite side of the house from the other two rooms so it's great to separate the kids from adults. Will definitely return!

All of us had a smile on our faces when we drove up to the property and entered the house. Perfect blend of vintage and modern decor. Property is well maintained. Lots of photo opportunities. We had a very comfortable stay. Huge hall downstairs, for kids to be by themselves and play. Walk around the property and you'll see horses. We saw a deer come up to the fence. Lots of greenery around. House is well stocked with essential supplies. They have Netflix for entertainment. Area has cell coverage. We will definitely come here again.

The staff were accommodating and prompt in responding. The venue was beautiful and great for our needs. We loved having a dish washer upstairs and downstairs to wash dishes quickly for the next meal without needing to transport them. Thank you for using your faculty. Would happily recommend to anyone!
