Very nice place overall. Unfortunately, we had problems with WiFi, and the road to the property is really bad. But obviously it's not the owners' fault.

The villa was a great place to relax and enjoy all the wonderful restaurants in Puerto Morelos. It was decorated with gorgeous artwork and plenty of reading material. The walk into town was about 15 minutes and we would take a cab back at night.

Sherry and Frank’s condo is beautiful, well-kept, and filled with lovely art. The beds were so comfortable and the balcony views wonderful. The staff were very responsive and Pedro took us to Tulum one day, and to the Cenote Verde Lucero another. The pool is so refreshing...we mostly enjoyed it in the late afternoon/early evening. The only drawback for staying at this wonderful location is if you want to spend time on the beach as the seaweed piled up each day. Overall we truly enjoyed our 5 nights at this condo... and we fell in love with Puerto Morelos!

Our family enjoyed our stay at Carribean Reef very much. It's a well-maintained property in a good location (walkable to town, but far enough away so as to be calm and quiet). The condo was very nicely appointed, well-stocked and clean. Beds were very comfortable. We were a family of three and it was the perfect size for us. The grounds crew worked tirelessly to clear up the sargassum, but piles of it floated ashore as soon as it was cleared. It didn't bother us at all, though, as the pool was lovely and we had plenty of sea-time on our diving trips. Frank and Sherry were very responsive to my emails and messages, and great to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this condo and will look forward to returning. It was recently remodeled and it is functional as well as beautiful. The deck is spacious and we loved being able to see the sunrise and sunset from there. My husband enjoyed the walk to town. It was a bit too far for me but taxi's are easy to get and very reasonable.

Had an excellent stay at a beautiful ocean front condo over the Christmas Holidays. Everything you needed was right there including spectacular views and an awesome pool. The condo staff was also quite helpful from getting extra towels to arranging transportation. The condo was just far enough out of town to provide peace and tranquility all of the time while on property yet a short walk to shopping and restaurants. We couldn't have picked a better spot for our vacation. No doubt this place is highly recommended!!

If you are looking to experience to vacation in very safe laid back cultural town in Mexico Puerto-Morelos is right for you. You will be able to walk freely to eat anything your heart desires, shop among many of the local shops and take in the beautiful beach in town. Locals will know you by the end of your stay. My husband, 17yr old and 21yr old just had the most amazing vacation and thanks to finding Frank and Sherry’s rental at Caribbean reef Villas which in our opinion was the perfect location definitely made our week perfect. What you see is what you get in the condo when you walk in will be exactly as pictured ( I wish I could have bottled up the smell of the laundry and took it home ) The condo literally has everything you need even beach towels . The kitchen was super easy to cook in just go to the local grocery store which is about a 10 minute walk into town, get what you need for the week to do a few meals, stock up on some cold ones but take a cab back for five dollars. You will enjoy the most beautiful view out of the balcony and the pool is absolutely stunning and very refreshing. Too bad of the seaweed in front of the condo, they do work really hard at trying to remove it but I do believe that seaweed is very bad everywhere this year. No worries you can still get your toes in the sand and Wade and the beautiful waves of the ocean maybe find a shell or two. The showers are amazing and the beds are very comfortable . Frank and Sherry are very honest and I thank them for responding to my annoying inquiries and encouraging us to make Puerto morales our vacation spot and to stay there . We definitely enjoyed our mornings on the balcony and evenings on the balcony talking about our day. We enjoyed that 10 minute stroll into town which we did quite often even in the very dark so very dark we had to turn the flashlights on our phones to see where we were going but we felt very safe( you could rent bikes in town for the week to get around but we opted not to ) we booked an all day excursion in the town to visit Cobá and Tulum and to swim in a Cenote to end with a stop in Playa Del Carmen. We did a two hour snorkeling excursion as well ( which was plenty of time , we were definitely wore out) definitely the most beautiful snorkeling experience we ever had . So yes we would visit Puerto morelos again and yes Frank and Sherry’s condo will be the place for us to stay .

We just returned from yet another amazing vacation in Puerto Morelos. We loved this condo. It had a very well equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. We were initially surprised with the empty/dirty lot next door but when we sat out on our patio overlooking the pool/ocean having our coffee or cocktails, we really didn't notice it any more. We had some issues with the air conditioner leaking which was a fluke that caught even the owner by surprise. They were so responsive, as was the staff, at taking care of it and ensuring our comfort that it really didn't effect our wonderful vacation. Frank and Sherry were so communicative prior to our trip. They answered tons of questions about things to do and even called to recommend a wonderful chef since they could not post the number via VRBO. Dona Sonia and Chef Marco were fun and the food was amazing. We will use them again on our next trip! We spent our afternoons laying by or floating in the pool. The staff keeps the place really well maintained and even knocked on our door at 11:00 one night to let me know I left the lights on in my rental car. THANK YOU! Thank you Frank and Sherry for your responsiveness. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is he second and best condo we have stayed in at Caribbean Reef Villas. We obviously like the location. Sherry and Frank's condo was excellent in every way. It is well equipped with good mattresses, coffee makers, Tea "brewers" (We don't drink Tea), blender, tons of dishes, glasses, pans and cutlery. Books, movies, TV, games, towels pillows etc. We rented bikes rather than a car and the easy ride to town was short and more "Margarita and Cerveza friendly" than an auto after dinners in Puerto Morelos. We were able to watch sunrises and sunsets as well as overlook the very nice clean well kept pool from the balcony. The third floor, two easy flights of stairs up, is ideal. The Condo seemed brand new as it has recently been redecorated. I would recommend this unit highly! We had numerous conversations via email with Sherry and Frank and they are responsive, honest and easy to deal with before during and after our stay. The staff at the Caribbean Reef Villas is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We recently returned home from our second stay at this condo, the first being in January. We returned here for our 25th wedding anniversary just a couple of weeks ago, as we could not think of anyplace more special to celebrate. There are so many reasons for our choice of this condo, almost impossible to list them all. But----here is just some of it's "magic": it is a third floor, corner condo, and it has views of both sunrises and sunsets, very rare to find this, we think; the condo overlooks a beautiful large infinity pool and the ocean, throw in the palm trees and lush plants, you feel like it can't even be real; it has a huge kitchen with center isle plus state of the art appliances and all of the kitchen gadgets you would ever need; the condo is beautifully furnished and decorated with comfortable furnishings and the most fantastic selection of artwork even imaginable; it felt like we were living in a home we could never even dream of having. If you ran out of books to read, they have many, many for you to enjoy. More important than the physical appearance of the condo were the people who made this all happen. Frank and Sherry made us feel like we were the only guests they had ever had; their communication with us from the very start was warm and inviting (and caring), right down to the bottle of "bubbly" waiting for us upon arrival for our anniversary. The staff at the development were such hard working people, doing everything from taking care of the landscaping, cleaning the pool, and even making sure the beach was clean. Arlene, in particular, just melted our hearts. She and her helper worked six days a week and were always visible. The development is about one mile from the small village of Puerto Morelos and you could walk there, or just hop in a taxi for a short trip. We had a great choice of restaurants, and the prices were most reasonable. We found several of them to be our favorites and can't wait to visit them again. By the way, we have booked this condo for a week in November and also in February, which should tell you how special it is. We are already counting the days until we return.

We had a perfect stay here in Puerto Morelos -- the condo is well appointed, with a brand new bathroom, and all the kitchen gear you could want. The pool is beautiful! This particular condo is well situated on the southwest corner so you can see the sunrise and sunset perfectly from the balcony. The large mirror in the living room makes the whole space light and airy -- I highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived and were warmly greeted by the friendly staff we knew that this would be a very special eight days. The condo itself is fabulous and exceeded our high expectations in every way. Top quality furnishings and finishes throughout, accented by amazing artwork. We love to dabble in the kitchen, preparing appetizers to enjoy on the balcony, and the kitchen was a dream with high quality appliances, dinnerware and cutlery. Lovely bathrooms with custom showers that made you want to linger and relax a little longer. The corner balcony provides great 270 degree views and was a wonderful spot to enjoy the authentic Yucatecan dinner that we had prepared by local chefs Marco and Sonia; absolutely one of the highlights of the trip. The pool was sparkling and mere feet from the sea. Never a problem finding space at the pool or the beach. Everyone was so pleasant and the condo owners who were there went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We did the easy walk into town every day to sample the fantastic restaurants and we sampled them to the extent that we never actually walked back, instead taking the fifty peso taxi ride. Just a great vacation, we really look forward to returning.

This is a wonderful condo. Very updated with great bathrooms and kitchen. Kitchen is very well stocked with anything you might need for cooking. The building itself is well maintained and the outside grounds are immaculate. The staff works very hard to see to that and also more than willing to answer any questions or help with any thing you may need. Beautiful pool with crystal clear water.

The grounds and views from this property are outstanding there is a lovely pool and beach area where one can easily relax and watch the day go by or just sit on your private balcony. The condo itself was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need for an extended stay. Everything was in perfect working condition and of high quality (loved the Ninja coffee maker). We had a small issue with the shower head in the master bedroom and contacted the owners who quickly responded, apologized for any inconvenience and sent staff over to repair it as soon a possible. Very impressive response indeed. The only cons are beyond the owner's power to do anything about, namely: you need to walk along a narrow sometimes busy road to get to the town center because you cannot walk the entire way along the beach as it is blocked by a fenced pier used for container shipments. The bottom line is our stay involved a little more walking but that was a small price to pay for having such a well equipped, comfortably furnished piece of paradise hosted by such considerate owners. I miss the balcony, pool, beach, sound of the waves and the lovely breeze coming through the condo and I would recommend staying here in a heartbeat. Fantastic Property

Never having been to Puerto Morelos before, we had to depend upon property descriptions and pictures to help us decide where to stay. Frank and Sherry, the villa owners, made their villa sound like something perfect for us. From the moment we entered their villa, we knew we had not made a mistake. It was all that they said, but so much more. It was magical, from the selection of art throughout the villa, to the view of both pool and ocean, to the kitchen "to die for", the comfortable bed, and the total ambiance of the entire space. My husband and I felt totally comfortable there. Because this villa was a third floor corner one, we were able to view both the sunrise and sunset from our balcony. (one of life's simple pleasures). The staff of this property was fantastic. They were quick to answer any questions, eager to help, and hard at work all the time. The villa is one of only 21 villas in the property, making it seem like home. We felt totally safe at all times. The pool is awesome, but not heated, so it took us awhile to work up the courage to get in. Once in, the swimming was beautiful; the pool furniture is comfortable. While the property is about a mile from the actual town of Puerto Morelos, it is a very easy walk. In addition, we found other desirable routes to walk and did so daily. Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. Puerto Morelos itself is very laid back and charming. We found several restaurants we loved and visited them more than once during our stay. For us, this was a five star property. We actually have already planned a return visit to the town and the very same villa in a couple of months to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We have been in love with Mexico for many years, and go there two or three or times a year, if possible, to find that "perfect place" for us. We certainly have decided that the town and Frank and Sherry's villa is at the top of our list.

We spent a week here over Christmas 2017 and it was the perfect getaway for our family. The condo is located about a ten-minute walk from the center of Puerto Morelos. We were looking for a low-key place to stroll along the beach, swim in a lovely pool and experience some wonderful Mexican street food without "cheek to jowl" vendors or high pressure sales tactics and that's exactly what we found. The condo building is in a secluded area outside of town. If we'd stayed longer, renting bikes would have been perfect, as getting around takes a little effort, but it's an easy walk into town and taxis cost about $2.50. The condo itself is on the third floor and overlooks a beautiful pool area and also has a gorgeous balcony to relax and watch the waves. We cooked more than we thought and the luxury kitchen had everything we needed (microwave was broken, but no biggie), including a juicer for fresh orange juice. The condo is extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The Wifi was hit and miss (mostly miss), but it does work fine down at the pool and the DVD player was on the fritz, but it just helped us relax and enjoy the slow, hypnotic rhythm of life near the sea. The seclusion worked well for us, but someone wanting more connection or needing the internet for work, might find the situation frustrating. We mostly avoided the restaurants (although DK is not to be missed) and instead took advantage of the fresh fruits and vegetables at the super market near the highway, the ceviche on the beach in town and also had amazing tamales and tacos and roasted chicken in the roadside stands in the Colonia as well as in town. We loved our week in Puerto Morelos and can't wait to go back!

We absolutely loved this place! This is one of the best values I have found through VRBO. The condo is beautiful. It is exactly as shown in the photos. This condo looks brand new and is very well maintained. The view from the balcony is perfect. It is decorated very nicely with local art work. The bed is very comfortable. The condo is quite spacious, with lots of bright natural lighting. The kitchen has everything you need. And the AC works really well. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony enjoying the breeze, drinking coffee, reading, watching the fishing boats go by while the pelicans cruised through and the frigate birds hovered way overhead. Sherry and Frank are really great to work with. We had to cancel our first stay in this condo 2 years ago. We finally made it to Puerto Morelos. During that time, Sherry has always been very gracious and quick to respond to all of my emails. My wife and I rented bikes for the week and never had a need for a car or a taxi. It is a short 3 minute bike ride into town. Most of the way is lighted so we had no problem riding back and forth even at night. We really enjoyed the activities in town, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. But it was nice to be able to go back to the condo where it is quiet and peaceful. We loved Puerto Morelos! The people are very friendly. The restaurants are numerous and have excellent food. And the prices are unbeatable. We had intended to buy fresh fish and eat dinner at the condo, but with such low prices in the restaurants it just made sense to eat out every night. I highly recommend this condo. You will not be disappointed when it comes to luxury, comfort and relaxation.

If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing vacation then this is the place for you. The property is really well maintained. This unit is on the third floor and looks out over palm trees to the ocean. The view and sound of the waves is unbeatable. The condo is quite a walk from town if you are carrying groceries. There are no restaurants nearby so if you aren't cooking then you will need to go into town everyday. There is a wide variety of restaurants in town and we enjoyed our meals out. We walked back to the condo most nights after dinner. If you plan on doing the same then bring a flashlight. Taxis are plentiful and cost around 50 pesos. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, stove, fridge, and oven. There are lots of dishes, glassware, and pots so you are able to make your own meals. There is even a small charcoal BBQ on the balcony. We snorkelled from the beach and saw some small schools of fish. The water was a bit murky from the sand being stirred up by the waves. Our best experience snorkelling was from the public beach in town. Frank and Sherry (the owners) were great to deal with and responded quickly when we didn't have water. The small staff on site were available and easy to work with when we needed water and when the wifi went down. Overall we would highly recommend this VRBO. Chris and Laurianne
