The cottage was wonderful. Very clean, attractive and in a great location. Beds were very comfortable and we loved the large screen porch. Would definitely stay again!

Our stay was wonderful. Everything nice and clean, well keep. We spend a lot of time on the screened in porch and deck. It was so inviting.

The property was just lovely. The interior was as shown, neat and clean and nicely decorated. The screened in porch was great and a wonderful place to sit and chat. The beach was within a few short minutes from the home. The neighborhood is perfect. The beds were very comfy. It was a super place to stay for family and friends. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay here this weekend with a reunion of girlfriends. Short walk to the beach and the home was comfortable with a well stocked kitchen, nice decor and we enjoyed staying up late and catching up on the screened in porch. Would definitely recommend!

We so enjoyed our visit. It’s easy to enjoy Kiawah, but the location of this property, the availability of all our necessities made this spot so enjoyable for a family with young children. The house is cozy and lived in, with plenty of puzzles and things to occupy us! An easy bike ride to Night Heron park or the Sanctuary with just a quick walk to the beach.

We had a wonderful time in Kiawah. It never disappoints. The house was fully stocked with everything you need. Plenty of dishes and bath towels. It was nice to have extra beach items as well. The house was cozy and the colorful! This house stands out with the great location to the beach, an easy walk back and forth with kids. This is the 5th home in Oceanwoods we have stayed in and in my top 2! We will be back.

Been coming to Kiawah since 1991. First as a property owner’s family member until 2019 and then as a ‘paying’ guest. We prefer staying either at Night Heron Cottages (where my aunt owned a house) or Oceanwoods. It’s really all we need and can afford.
We enjoyed this property, the neighbors (permanent residents) and the property owner so much that we have already booked for next summer!
It’s a perfect size for the few of us, perfect distance to the beach and Freshfields Village, and right off the grandest street of them all….Eugenia Avenue!
We are outdoors folks so the living room and tv was only used once, to watch the World Cup. Other than that, we were either walking, beaching, biking or sitting on the screened in porch.
Just another fabulous summer on my favorite island on the planet!

Our family visits Kiawah Island frequently and this is one of the best rentals we have ever had. You can’t beat the location! An easy walk down the street gets you to the nearest beach access. We were also able to bike to Freshfields and to see the dolphins strand feeding. The house itself is beautifully decorated and the space was more than comfortable for our family of five. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch. Despite having neighbors, the trees and landscaping provided a sense of seclusion while we enjoyed the porch and outside decks. I also can’t say enough about the owner. Communication was clear and owner to respond. We can’t wait to come back!

We returned to this property for the second year in a row and had another great stay. The house is a very short walk to the beach and also convenient to other amenities on Kiawah Island. It is very well maintained and has everything needed for a family beach vacation. Highly recommend.

Our family of five really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It had all the comforts of home. The beach was a 2-minute walk across the street. The check-in/check-out process was very straight forward thanks to Cissy’s great communication. We hope to return in the near future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cissy's home! The property was as described, with comfortable furniture and a well-supplied kitchen. Our favorite location turned out to be the screened-in porch, where we ate every meal and relaxed, read, etc. while not out enjoying the beautiful weather. Cissy was very responsive and easy to work with - a pleasure all around. We look forward to another visit!

I booked this property because of the attractive photos, color scheme (coral is my favorite), and location; our family has stayed in Oceanwoods many times, and it’s proximity to the beach is great! The cottage did not disappoint—it was very clean, with very nice updated bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen, and a comfortable screened porch with both seating and eating areas. The host provided a great list of area stores, restaurants, and activities, and was very responsive when I had questions. We will definitely rent here again!

We've stayed in Oceanwoods a few times before, but this was our first time staying at this house. We loved it! Perfect location - it's a two minute walk to the beach. The screened in deck was a favorite location for a nap, to take a work call (for those of us who needed to work on vacation!), or just to enjoy the peaceful view. The rooms are comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need. Looking forward to returning!

We loved our stay at this property. Very clean and well appointed. The closeness to beach access is not overstated - it was very easy to get onto the beach with two young kids and lots of gear. The highlight for my wife was getting to see the sea turtle rescue group assist hatchlings at a nest right next to our boardwalk. In addition to all of the great amenities on Kiawah, we also enjoyed going into Charleston, which was very convenient. Hope to visit again soon!

Quick trip to the Beach
My daughter, 19 month old granddaughter and I stayed at this cottage. It was well appointed and a perfect location! We would definitely like to stay there again.

Absolutely delightful
A perfect place for our family's spring break beach trip. The location couldn't have been better - we could walk to the beach and the bike paths were everywhere. My husband appreciated being able to work out on the screen porch, and in the evening I would join him with my knitting while the boys played games at the dining room table. The kitchen had everything we needed to eat all our meals there, which was a big cost saving for feeding teenage boys. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back next!

Long term stay
Quiet location with close proximity to beach. Comfortably furnished. Functioned well for the 2 of us while working remotely and when having overnight guests. Owner was extremely helpful and responsive.

The perfect location
Exactly what I think of when I imagine the perfect beach cabin. So, so close to the best part of Kiawah - the beach! Nestled in a peaceful, quiet corner (just past a few of the elevator-laden, too-many-car-garage monsters). Very comfortable beds & a kitchen with what you need. We hope to come back!

Lovely home excellent location
We loved the home and it was large enough for our family of 4. Cissy was very helpful with food recommendations and quick to respond. The beach is so close and we loved riding bikes on the island!

The best part of the rental is Ms. Cissy Davis. She is the perfect host, and working with her is a joy. The charming cottage is attractively decorated, well-appointed, and conveniently located close to the beach. Our favorite room is the porch which is spacious and overlooks the lagoon. So peaceful. Lovely cottage
Our first time in Kiawah Island and this cottage was just perfect! Great space and location was perfect, so close to the beach access and middle of everything! Cissy, the owner was so helpful and responsive. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

Perfect wind down vacation
Well appointed and tastefully decorated beach cottage with shaded parking. Set in a lovely neighborhood and a very short walk to the beach…it was better than expected!
Cissy was wonderful to work with and provided great recommendations for the area. So glad we chose to rent bikes as we all had a blast riding around the island!
We felt right at home and were able to embrace the full “island time”! Thanks, Cissy, for allowing us to stay this week!!! We look forward to visiting again in the future!

nice beach house
house was very nice, had interesting deck that had a river view where my daughter loved to sit in the mornings. Saw an alligator taking a stroll on the golf course while riding my bike. Close to bike path.

This property was everything we needed and had everything we needed for a family getaway! the cottage is immaculate, great condition and could not be more well appointed. We especially loved spending time on the large porch. The skylights in the home are beautiful and it is a super quick walk to the beach across the street. We wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be returning!
