Overall convenient location on lake however house sits very close to the road which can be a concern with a dog. House was not overly clean when we arrived and looked like it had not been vacuumed. The grocery store is so conveniently located to the house, literally a 2 minute drive. A few boat rental places nearby were great too. A convenient gas station was also nearby which made going home a bit easier since we didn't have to hunt around for a station. The house is 5-15 minutes away from all sorts of awesome places to visit including Lakeside creamery (amazing ice cream), Brenda's pizzeria, Simon Pearce Glass Factory, Oakland farmers market, Swallow Falls State Park, Deep Creek State Park, Herrington Manor, Firefly Farms, and others. Overall the house was great, would absolutely recommend to friends and family to enjoy a very reasonably priced but worthwhile home to rent on vacation.

It was conveniently located with easy and quick access to 68. The house was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the deck, pier and hot tub for a relaxing time. The owner can write the items off on their taxes so make the choice to be a top notch rental.

The lifesaver was having access to the pool at GCCARC. We were able to make 4 little girls happy! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and pans. We appreciated that there were small items ready for us such as trial size dish detergent, tissues and a dish washer tab. We had brought ours, but it was nice to know if we hadn't we were covered until a trip to the store could be made. The beds were made and towels were ready for us. Having stayed in this house before, my opinion is that it is showing some age - nothing that interfered with our stay, but some cabinets and shower heads need to be fixed/replaced. Overall, it is still a great place to stay.

It was absolutely beautiful waking up every morning to the view of the lake and especially after the complimentary snowfall on Christmas Day. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. Lots of clean, fluffy towels and comfy beds. Two fireplaces and lots of room for the dog (a black lab) to explore. We didn't want to leave!!

Seems like we did everything from enjoy the house, the dock, boating, and tubing. Additionally, and make no mistake, we enjoyed the sites, and a kayak tour. We also made our yearly pilgrimage to Honi Honi, plus discovered Honey's Pawn Run out on Boy Scout Road (that place was cool). We'll be back for sure!! Now for the review of the house: Sunny Boy Loved the location, the house is much bigger than what appears from the street view. Loved the long yard and the easy slope down to the water. We rented a boat, so the Marina being so close was a plus. Beautiful view too. The living room gets REALLY hot in the afternoon sun due to the large bay window, but that wasn't a big deal. The windows around the the sliding glass doors leaked during the heavy rains (the hardwood will suffer due to this leak). The hot tub is old, and is visibly worn. The deck is wood, and needs refinished. The dock needs to be power washed, the mold build up makes it VERY slippery during the time the dock is wet form water activities and rain. Lots of spider webs all over the place, kids didn't like that at all. The facet in the kitchen is worn and needs replaced, plus the the kitchen just needs a little updating, I know its a rental, but its time. A major shout out to the Taylor Made staff, during our stay!! That were "johnny on the spot" each time we had an issue, from a smoke detector needing a battery change, to the hot tub needing to be refilled!! Prompt and efficient every time.
