The tidiness and cleanliness of the property was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent relaxing in the space. One suggestion, we were very aware (especially in the middle of the night) of the folks upstairs. Perhaps, slippers would help diminish the sound. All in all, it was so worth the price.

Property was immaculate. Everything was modern and updated. The kitchen was extremely well equipped if you like to cook. The outside space was beautiful and comfortable. Located in a residential suburban-like neighborhood even though within the city limits. Car is really needed, but not far to downtown and close to UW. Most important, the hosts were kind and accommodating.

There were 3 of us. The property worked great. Used Uber for transport. 20 minute trips to downtown. We would definitely stay here again

Really enjoyed the property. It is a basement apartment but didn’t feel that way. The attention to detail was fantastic. Highly recommend!

We stayed here 4 nights, very comfortable and well appointed basement apartment with private entry. John and Rachel were very nice and easy to communicate with. We appreciated all of the little touches like local restaurant and activity recommendations, a fully stocked kitchen, and a very nice welcoming gift of wine and local chocolates. We will definitely put this place at the top of our list for stays in Seattle!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was spotless and extremely comfortable!

We try to stay here at least twice a year, as it's perfectly located for our family visits. Beyond that, however, we have found John and Rachel to be the most gracious and helpful hosts one could imagine, from their traditional bag of chocolates and bottle of white wine gifts, to their prompt eagerness to help with a TV glitch. They've made improvements to the unit over time, always seeking to improve the experience for their guests, and we've never had any difficulties while staying in their downstairs unit. It is reasonably priced, situated in a quiet neighborhood with good walking streets and trails, and is only a short drive to grocery store, restaurants, etc. They've been doing this for some years, and they've doing it right!

My husband and I found the perfect location for our stay in Seattle. Rachel and John are excellent hosts who are very gracious and accommodating and welcome you into the most inviting environment anyone could ask for, which included a nice surprise of treats in a welcome basket. The kitchen provides extensive utensils, pots and pans plus a lot more you could want or need to prepare and cook a meal and sit at the table or enjoy breakfast at the counter with coffee or tea which are provided. It’s apparent that a lot of care and attention has been given to making your stay very homey with being exceptionally clean as well as having comfortable furnishings and lovely decor. The bedroom we used was very comfortable and the sheets and blankets are luxurious. The beautiful bathroom has all the necessities you need including a fabulous shower with unbelievably sumptuous towels. Another thoughtful provision they provide is a special parking area which is devoted to their guests exclusively. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Excellent property. Very clean and new! There was nothing we were without. (And everything very well labeled) Perfect for dropping our kid off at UW! Not too far by car.

I can’t say enough about how great this stay was! The unit is so well stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen and bath. Plenty of towels, pillows, etc. There is a lovely backyard to enjoy with a cup of coffee! The unit is very spacious and just wonderful! The hosts, John and Rachel are delightful! Our best vrbo experience ever!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and cannot recommend it highly enough. The unit was truly a “home away from home” for us. It was warm, spacious, spotless, private, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. The bedrooms are large and airy with great beds and lots of storage. The living room, dining room, and kitchen worked perfectly for our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor space was a real plus and we enjoyed sitting on our patio, overlooking a beautiful, green yard. John and Rachel were great hosts, very responsive and extremely welcoming. We had complete privacy while knowing John and Rachel were close by if needs arose. We could not have asked for a better experience. We will definitely return and look forward to settling into “our” place again when we do.

Comfortable and convenient home in a quiet neighborhood.

Once again, John and Rachel provided a comfortable, well-appointed environment that met our needs perfectly. We stayed for twelve days, within a mile of family we were visiting, and enjoyed strolling around the neighborhood, usually with our umbrellas, and staying indoors enjoying their entertainment system. John was helpful with minor issues, and communication in general is always friendly and welcoming. We will return as often as we can.

Property was extremely clean with a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of dishes, utensils, bowls, pans, etc. Great location. In our first day, local roads were closed due to extreme weather - Hosts were so nice to bring us lots of extra food so that we can stay in comfortable warm house.

Located in a residential neighborhood, this property offers a secluded, sparkling clean home. If you don't mind hills, we recommend the trail along the creek. Rachel was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our emails.

Property was clean with a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of dishes, utensils, bowls, pans, etc. Only ding I have is the restriction on the use of the washer and dryer. For a nearly two week stay, only 3 loads of laundry is not really enough. Typically, a weeks laundry is a load of whites/lights, a load of darks, and a load of delicates.

Enjoyed staying at Rachel and John’s VRBO. The rental was very clean and comfortable and spacious. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the coffee was delicious.

Rachel and John were lovely hosts. Their 2 BR apartment was just perfect for our one week visit to Seattle. The beds are comfortable, kitchen has everything you will need. Would definitely stay here again.

Always a five star stay, the moment you open the door you know the apartment is very clean. Large windows let in plenty of light, the decor is bright and cheery, the kitchen well stocked to prepare meals, the WiFi and cable TV good, the hosts helpful ……what more do you need!! Sit on the private patio and sip coffee while you enjoy a cool summer morning in Seattle. No disappointments here!

We had a marvelous stay at this property. Rachel and John greeted us and made us feel very much at home. They were extremely responsive to our needs at all times. If something was unusual in terms of an event, they gave us a heads-up. We kept in constant communication with them. We would definitely stay there again.

Our hosts, Rachel and John, have done a marvelous job of anticipating the needs of their guests. This spacious flat is well-appointed and comfortable, with a full kitchen and two bedrooms, and they were generous in offering chocolates and a bottle of wine as welcome gifts. We communicated about a few minor issues, and they were quite helpful and responsive. Moreover, the neighborhood is charming, full of interesting walking streets and modest, custom-built homes with well-developed landscaping. There is also a creek hike within just a block, amid a verdant woodsy ravine. Overall, this unit is a great value, and a unique experience.

If you have selected to stay here you will not be disappointed, and if I could add 5 more stars than the 5 allotted, I would. John and Rachel provide you with an impeccably clean apartment with so much charm, as well as being functional, you feel like where you are staying has enhanced your Seattle experience. John and Rachel are gracious hosts and as helpful and knowledgeable with any information or questions you may have about where to go and how to get there, making one's stay here comfortable, relaxing, enjoyable and meeting your every need. If you’re looking for a quiet, neighborhood experience, this is the place for you. It’s also close to I-5 and a10-20 minute drive to downtown Seattle (depending on traffic). The hosts are very nice and helpful with recommendations, directions, etc...

We had a great four day stay and would have no reservations about staying here again.

We stayed one week visiting our son who lives nearby. We enjoyed walking in the local neighborhood, visiting streams, parks and beaches. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. We plan to return in the future.
