We loved our time at this house. The 2nd living area was perfect for the 15 and 22 year old kids. The house had everything you would need. The best part of the house is the outdoor space. The dock was perfect for pulling up our boat and hanging out during the day. The covered patio was perfect in the evenings especially on the rainy ones. We came in to a gift basket which was such a nice gesture. We will definitely be back.

2 adults from Florida and 2 adults from
Southern California met for family reunion and to attend The US Open Golf Tournament in Pinehurst; an hour drive.
We cooked several meals in the kitchen, more than adequately stocked. Relaxed on the many decking options.
Needed to contact owner for a simple question - got an immediate response and resolution.

Great house and outdoor area. We enjoyed sitting on the deck off the master bedroom every morning with coffee and building a fire in the outdoor fireplace to roast marshmallows in the evening. The downstairs area was also great for relaxing and playing games. We hope to visit again!

This place is so beautiful. You feel so welcome. Everything that you need is there. All the beds are very comfortable and we all love the game room that is located on the last floor. It's like magic.
Outside is a plus! especially the areas where the dock is; plenty of room for our boat and Jet ski. Also, we had so much fun with the canoe and the outdoor fireplace, we were there most of the time. What a fantastic vacation we all had
The communication with the host was great!!

A tradition for us (4 close friends) to congregate at a lake in NC or SC for 4 days of fishing. This was year 10 and the house and lake did not disappoint. Easy check-in and communication with the owner. House was as advertised and was everything we needed/wanted. Will certainly stay again!

Sunrise on Badin is the perfect lake home and beautiful place to visit with family and friends. We go annually and are always looking forward to the ‘next’ visit. You won’t find a better place to unwind and relax!

My wife and I stay here 3 nights and had a very nice relaxing weekend. The house was clean with very detailed instructions for everything you could need. The kitchen is packed with anything you could need to use to cook up meals. The dock is awesome. it is a double-decker dock and at the end of the dock is about a 15-foot drop so you can jump off knowing you're not going to hit the bottom. they have water floats so you can just relax in the water and enjoy the view. We did fish every day and caught fish every day. We will defiantly be back. thanks for the memories.

We loved our stay here and would happily return! The house was clean and had everything we needed.We appreciated the very thorough binder with detailed information. Kids loved the air hockey table and jumping off the 2nd level dock. Quiet, beautiful property & cove!

The house was exactly as we expected from the description. Cute, clean, comfortable, very equipped kitchen, they even left us a bottle of wine and chocolates. It unfortunately rained most of our stay but the lake was still gorgeous. There really wasn’t anything bad to say about it. We will be back.

We so enjoyed our stay at Sunset on Badin. The home is immaculate, organized, There are generous provisions, nice appliances, comfortable beds. There are so many spaces indoors and out to enjoy your stay. Instructions are detailed and clear. Paul made everything simple for us. We were glad that we could bring our ski boat.

We spent our spring break at the lake house and were lucky enough to have beautiful weather! The house was very clean and instantly felt comfortable. We loved sunning on the double decker dock and the kids loved jumping. We had several fires in the gorgeous fireplace and enjoyed the outdoor speakers! The house is about an hour from Greensboro and Charlotte, but it was worth the drive to have the lake house feel to our vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

Lost of space in the house to stretch out and relax! Great sunrise and winter sunsets. Very clean, very well stocked kitchen, comfy beds! Lots to explore in nearby Uwharrie National Forest. Would love to revisit when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the lake amd jumping off the upper deck and swimming! Paul was an A-class host, very attentive and easy to reach/communicate with! We would love to return again!

This was our 5th year staying at this property.
We always have a fantastic time. The house is always very stocked and clean. The outside area is absolutely amazing. This kids love the double decker dock.
We look forward to staying every year and plan to return again next summer.

Excellent in every way
The photos are accurate. However, they did not capture the idyllic nature of the lake nor the countless thoughtful touches. My wife is a cook and she said it was equipped as a home and not a rental property. Just a few examples: cutting boards, many glasses, kitchen knives, and a full set of pots and pans.
I was working from the location and Internet was solid. The AV setup made me envious.
Sitting by the lake was a daily slice of vacation.
The house is rural, but a wide range of shopping and dining is available in Ambemarle.

Very clean and well equipped property!
We felt like being at home, I brought a bunch of stuff which I all didn’t need at all, cause everything was provided by the owners! We want to come back in summer time for sure!

Beautiful home & property, exciting dock experience
We were so happy to be there... All the rooms clean and comfortable, the kitchen had more supplies than we needed. The college girls loved the downstairs. Fire pit was the evening hangout. Although being in a cove, it didn't feel crowded (like I had worried) and was perfect for using the canoe. Highlight was jumping off the upper deck into the deep water and floating in the tubes. Thank goodness the water was still warm. Great lake experience!!!! Really good communication with owner! 👍👍👍

Absolutely charming and relaxing
Such an inviting and friendly welcome when we arrived. The house was fully stocked. We spent most of our time on their lovely deck and every night enjoyed their fire place outside. Our trip was so relaxing. The best place we ever stayed and we had very nice places before. Highly recommend.

Never Disappoints
We absolutely LOVE this property.
We have been coming here for several years with family and a few friends. We couldn’t imagine our lake vacation staying anywhere else. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The overlook of the lake is amazing and the dock gets more than it’s fair share of use.
We always looks forward to our time here and look forward to many many more family trips here.

This place was so cozy, clean, and the views are amazing as you are right on the water. The house was super clean with all amenities that you would want. The kitchen especially is fully stocked. We enjoyed the dock so much and just floating around on the lake.

This is our 3rd yr. staying at Sunrise on Badin and it just keeps getting better. The home is beautiful and seated beautifully by the lake. The dock is perfect and the newly added fire pit is a great place to spend the evenings. We will definitely be back. Perfect getaway!

Wonderful Lake Getaway
This was our 2nd year booking this property and it just doesn’t disappoint! Spent our days on the lake and evenings by the fireplace or outside enjoying the view.
