I was so impressed with the care taken in the property. It really is a special place. We had six adults and three kids so were left with plenty of space to hang out. The kitchen was really well equipped (less a dishwasher, but we adjusted to that pretty quickly). We had a lot of rain but the common space was large and comfortable and a perfect place to watch a storm roll through.

The house was amazing as was the setting. We are a family of 6 (all grown kids) and everyone had plenty of room to relax and unwind and be together inside and out! Dave, our property manager was incredibly responsive and lovely. We had such a wonderful time!

Beautiful house with all the amenities you could ask for. The kitchen is well stocked to prepare great meals of the local seafood. Location and plentiful beautiful views made this stay awesome. Plenty to do and see. This is a beautiful area of the country. Experienced a Nor'easter during our stay too. We lost power but not to worry, our property contact Dave was there in a moment's notice to fire up the generator. He was a gem in taking care of us and making sure everything was perfect. I hope to return next year!

The trip got off to a great start when we entered the home, dimly lit and with a fire roaring. It was already dark, so we could not see the ocean, but when we awoke the next morning, we could then see the beautiful ocean views and rocky coast from the expansive primary bedroom windows. The coastline is exactly as it appears in the photos, the tides are pretty large providing a changing landscape throughout the day, the lobster boats come by regularly with sets directly in front of the home, there is constant entertainment. Functionally, the kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware, utensils, basic spices, and paper towels. Everything you need for a great stay!

House was as spectacular as listed. Kitchen very well equipped. Views were amazing. All 11 of us had a great time.

We enjoyed our time on Bailey’s Island very much. The cottages were perfectly located and gave us wonderful time together.

This is a beautiful home with an incredible view and lots of magical details. Loved the cozy couches inside and out!

The property is in a fantastic location. The view is more than amazing and our family & friends enjoyed being in the great open room or outside on the deck. The beauty begins with sunrise over the water. We were able to see several rainbows over the water and one day a double rainbow. At night the moon glistening on the water was so beautiful. Friends felt completely spoiled by the guest cottage when they visited. The location is convenient to many things and there is a perfect little beach within walking distance. If you have access to kayaks or a stand up board bring them. The younger children LOVED the bunkroom. It was outfitted with large raccoon & fox puppets climbing on the bunks which they immediately named and played with. Our extended family had a great time here. The only downside is maybe that for the large group that we were there is no dishwasher. We used paper plates sometimes and worked around it. The oven is functional but the pull out racks are a little rickety and the interior is beginning to deteriorate some. Made it seem like it was not clean inside. The outdoor grill is showing its age as well & needed a good scrubbing before use. The property manager Dave was available for any questions we had during our stay and very friendly. Bailey Island is a beautiful and relaxing place. We were all mesmerized by the water view, salt air, & ALL found ourselves so relaxed and wanting to nap in the late afternoon. The cottage decor is as pictured and unique. When friends visited we were 11 people for dinner. The large table could accommodate all of us. One night the youngest two sat at the little game table with the "fancy pouf" seats and felt like princesses. If you decide to venture out for dinner there are many amazing choices. Two favorites were Dolphin & The School House in Harpswell. This is a fantastic place for a relaxing seaside vacation with family & friends. We had so much fun & created many great memories here!

What an exquisite place for our family gathering… It served all our needs and all our senses! The home was spacious andbeautiful and had everything we needed, including wonderful gathering areas and porch views of the magnificent sea. We were three generations, and there was something for everyone, both on the property itself and in our adventures. We had two fantastic lobster nights with freshly caught local lobster, and adventured frequently to tide pools, area beaches, and hiking trails. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our time, helping us locate kayak rentals, local lobster haunts and more. With the biblical sunsets, lobster rolls, beautiful paddling, and local homemade ice cream, this vacation was one for the books. Thank you Jaquish Lane and Bailey Island!

My wife and I rented this beautiful home(s) for a week and didn’t want to go back to reality. The experience was better than pictures will show, Bailey Island is like going back to simpler, better times. There is a tv there, but wasn’t turned on once. Cooking, listening to music by the sea, games with friends who came up, hikes, etc. The property manager Dave was extremely attentive and helpful with anything we needed, and the check in/out was simple. The views and Bailey Island as a whole were just gorgeous and the people in town and restaurants like Cook’s and Sundrenched couldn’t of been friendlier. We will definitely like to come back, as would our pup, who I had to pick up to get into the car when it was time to go- something that never happens!

It took us a few days to unwind from the business of life we left behind. Once we were able to settle into the pace of the island, we had a great time! We loved time as a family. The views are beautiful and the kids played on the rocks every day.

What a location! Right on the water, against the rocks with views to dream of. This is a charming older house completely renovated with stylish colors, patterns and textures, all with comfort in mind. We wanted for nothing, and enjoyed everything. Excellent communication from the property manager.

This is a splendid home right on the ocean, quiet and peaceful with comfortable furniture and a great view. We loved this place so much the first time we rented we immediately booked it again for this year. We had a delightful and relaxing stay, we only had one day of inclement weather which knocked the power out. David was kind enough to come out and get a generator running for us mid-squall. Thanks for having us!

Well designed to enjoy incredible vista/views and host family - dining room table accommodates 12 comfortably. Loved Bailey’s Island. Glen’s recommended for lobsters and Gurnet Trading Post for seafood (great Crab Rangoon and fried clams).

Everything was great! The house was as it was described, which is so important! The setting and the view could not have been more beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was high quality. The property manager was so easy to communicate with and always answered our questions right away! The house was clean! We would definitely rent here again and would recommend to friends snd family .

Our stay at the Jaquish House was perfect! The views are breathtaking coupled with the peaceful sounds of the waves lapping the shore. We were lucky enough to have both cooler weather so we could sit on the comfy couch by the fireplace and warmer so we could sit out on the deck in the May morning sun. The house is tastefully decorated with New England flair, the master bedroom has a very comfortable King size bed and a stunning view to wake up to every morning. Top vacation home in my opinion-we will be back next May!

House is very artfully decorated, but nothing is too 'precious' as to have to be overly worried with kids and a dog running around. Furniture is comfy and the finishes are what I would call 'cottage chic'. The huge windows out to the water provided views basically the entire time you're in the house.We got some warm(ish) weather for April and spent some mornings eating breakfast outside in the sun. My girls absolutely loved climbing around on the rocks and I had my hands full making sure they did not stumble and fall - which would have resulted in serious injury as the rocks are pretty steep, but easily climbable. All ended well, but I would be more hesitant with younger kids letting them climb around.Maybe because we were early in the season or maybe because of COVID, the house was not well stocked as far as the usual cooking commodities (oils and spices and such) so bring your own. Plenty of cookware to enable whatever cooking might suit you. The takeout/restaurant options are pretty limited unless you feel like a drive and the nearest 'real' grocery store is 30 minutes away - so plan to cook. Lots of light hiking / outdoor options nearby to keep dogs and kids busy. It is a really beautiful area. And really quiet.Dave was great as the property manager. He lives right nearby so always available. We had some furnace / heat issues when we showed up and he got someone out to have them resolved quite quickly. Seems like a problem they've had in the past, but obviously wouldn't be an issue for someone renting in the warmer months.Great experience had by all - we would love to come back sometime during the summer!

Stayed here in mid March was wonderful, you know that if you are ok to be in Maine in mid March in the cold that this place has it going on.

I spent a week at Jaquish House celebrating my birthday with friends. The views from the house are AMAZING. You are literally at "Land's End." I woke up to see the sunrise every morning from bed. The weather warmed up a bit giving us an opportunity to hike around the neighborhood, visit Brunswick's super cute & quaint town center, and take long relaxing drives to restaurants in Portland. David, was very helpful and answered any and all questions I had. We even got a chef to cater a brunch and dinner. Trust me, you want to stay here :)

The views are stunning and change every day, we had an amazing family week at this beautiful home and location.

We stayed for a long weekend to elope on Bailey Island. Amazing views of the ocean in nearly every room of the house and we absolutely loved the eclectic decor. Only downside was that the master bedroom had an awkward open window from the stairs that left no privacy and there was pet hair on the rugs. However, we felt the house was very clean for a safe vacation during this pandemic. Overall, great property and house to enjoy all seasons in Maine - we’d love to return!

We had a fun stay. The house was unique and cozy. Gorgeous sun rising and sunset. On a frigid, cold windy day we could feel the heat of the sun blasting through the window. The Catetaker, Dave, was so helpful and kind. Thanks so much!
