Clean, quaint spot for a family gathering. A little chilly in February but very calming and pleasant stay.

My family and I decided we wanted to just get away. We found this great beach property in Fairfield. Everything was perfect from the moment we checked in. Thank you for allowing us into your home.

We live in the same town but needed to move out of our house for a few days due to a construction project at our house. Gerard was the best he went out of his way by texts to make sure everything was going well at the rental. He let us check in early so we could work the day we checked in which was great! The rental was very clean and cozy! It was great that we could bring our 2 dogs they enjoyed being close to the beach. I would rent this place again! Thank you Gerard!

The owner was fantastic from start to finish - always readily available and made our comfort his obvious priority. The property itself was as described; cute, neat, clean and just enough space. While the TV had just very basic cable channels, it was a smart TV with a firestick for streaming, which was fine. Would be great if there were small TVs in the bedrooms, but this is more of a suggestion and wasn't a big deal at all. The beach access thing is a little tricky, not so much the owner's issue, but the owner of the tall house across the street wasn't happy when we put our umbrella and chairs on the area that we thought and still believe was 'inside the high tide line' as described in the rules. While she congenially expressed her frustration with seeing parades of strangers basically sitting in her back yard, she also made no offer/effort to allow us to stay the 15 minutes more we said we were planning on staying. If she really "loved people" and "felt so bad telling us" as much as she said she did, then why not allow us the 15 minutes to watch the waves and pack up? Hmmm... Finally, my wife left her Kindle behind and the owner located it and handed it off to my daughter who goes to school in the area - great customer service! Would recommend if you're in the area and looking for a reasonably priced stay at a comfortable place with a helpful, friendly owner.

We were in town for a wedding and truly enjoyed our stay.

I am beyond impressed with the communication from Gerald. He was quick to let me know there was an AC issue prior to our check in, which he already had a resolution too, which was fixed before we arrived. The cottage itself is quaint, clean, and has everything you need. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were extremely soft, if you like that you are set, otherwise pack your own. The beach contained a good amount of shells, bring water shoes if you have sensitive feet. The shells cleared out upon getting further into the water. Parking was tight, I would not recommend a large SUV or van. Upon chatting with Gerald regarding the parking, he provided me an alternative for parking. I would 100% stay here again. The communication alone from Gerald had me sold. Thank you Gerald for being so readily available and honest. You can tell the host 100% takes his properties seriously and truly wants the guests to have a great experience.

Great Gull Properties, especially Gerard, is terrific! Everything we needed was provided. Some local eateries weren't open Monday and Tuesday, which was a little inconvenient, but overall the location was great...close to the beach and the cute town and other nearby towns for shopping and eating and entertainment. We would recommend Great Gull Properties.

We had a nice stay at the beach house. The summer cottage was very clean and very comfortable. Gerard, the owner, responsed immediatly to questions and needs. We got bikes to explore Fairfield. Everything you need for a pleasent stay was there. The AC was very effectively , but noisy. We would rent this charming beach house again!Thank you, family R. from Berlin/ Germany

Gerard was very welcoming and extremely responsive without being intrusive. This is a great balancing act. It is a charming cottage that has been elevated so the living area is now at the height of a second story which is quite common for coastal houses. There are window unit air conditioners that worked great when the temperature reached the 90s.I was a bit self conscious at the beach. You must walk between 2 houses across the street to get to a private beach. It felt as though I was sitting in their back yard. However, no one else in my family felt this way.The beach was fantastic for little kids at low tide. They could walk forever without it being over their heads.The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The beds were very comfortable. Interacting with Alexa was interesting, since I don't own that kind of technology.My frustration was with parking. For most of our stay we had 3 cars. Parking is below the raised kitchen, in between posts and very tight. People in the front seats have a difficult time getting out. My car stuck out a bit into the street.I was with grandchildren, and we took advantage of an outdoor concert and a children's museum besides trips to the beach. Fairfield is a wonderful community. This is a very affordable cottage and a great deal for staying at the beach in Fairfield.

The house was wonderful, a nice deck off the back, a short walk to the beach, kayak, and generally just comfortable. As a family of four we really enjoyed the stay and Gerard was ever available if we had any questions or issues. Parking is a little tight but if you go slow and are careful backing out you can fit in between the posts. Overall, 5 stars.

We absolutely loved our vacation at this property!!! The location is perfect, just steps from a private beach and right in town close to everything. The house was immaculate and very well stocked - no details were overlooked. Everything is new and updated and the decor is perfect for a beach house. There are hammocks "under" the house to lounge in and we had a blast kayaking in the ocean. Hope to be back next summer!

Everything was perfect right down to the detail of the owner checking in with us making sure everything was going well with our vacation and stay. The house was amazing and the kitchen was great for cooking. We loved the private beach and the owner had beach towels ready for you to enjoy! All of us in our party agreed that the beds were very comfortable. I would say my two little girls favorite was lounging in the hammocks under the deck! We would 100% rent this house again and any property this owner has! Thank you again for a very memorable first trip to the east coast!

The house was wonderful and Gerard was available at every step of the process to ensure we had the very best stay. We came for a half marathon and I can't think of any place that would've been better for resting up prior and relaxing after. Everyone kept remarking on how cute all the decor was and we were very pleasantly surprised by all the little touches Gerard had made to be welcoming. Everything was clean and in tiptop shape, I am grateful that we got to stay here.

This cottage was very charming - The location was perfect - just a short walk across the street and down a path and you are on the private beach -If you like to go for early morning walks, the road does not have sidewalks but the traffic was light and drivers are very considerate and there are lots of beautiful homes to admire. The cottage was very clean - brand new appliances in the kitchen - very well supplied with coffee and spices - 2 newly renovated bathrooms - with a beachy theme - shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were supplied along with travel toothbrushes and toothpaste - the towels were very soft - The 3 bedrooms each had a closet and also nicely decorated - The deck was in the back with a big table - overlooking a nice big back yard - perfect for a whiffel ball game in the summer and we even saw a couple of deer run by - There was parking for 3 cars but it was tight but you just had to make sure the driver could get in and out of the car - the rest would wait until the car was pulled out.- The owner, Gerard, was wonderful - he sent me an email to make sure we were all checked in - and he stayed in touch with us during our stay. We would give the Charming Summer Cottage a 10.

Had a wonderful mini vacation at this beach home, looks like something right out of a magazine! Had everything we needed and the owner was very helpful and accommodating prior to our arrival. Will definitely be back! 💞
