Clean, well set up, A+ location! Family of 5 with kids age 7/10/13 all loved this place. Also think the host Rob is extraordinarily nice/helpful. I mean, there are good hosts, then there is Rob at next level! Now that we have been to Playa Dominical area and know where things are and how the beaches are like, I would not stay anywhere else if visiting again. Simply put, if this place is available definitely grab it ASAP. Consider yourself super lucky.

Great location in an ideal spot for surfing, boogy boarding and long walks on a very flat beach at low tide. Robert is very responsive and helpful. We really appreciated not having to deal with the wet towels, sheets and garbage on our last day. I’ve stayed at some places that required us to basically do most of the cleanup before leaving and still pay a hefty cleaning fee. Staying here was a wonderful Christmas holiday.

Deep jungle feeling with powerful ocean and beautiful cove beach for walking.

Our stay was outstanding, couldn't get a better location with the ocean in your backyard. The host, Robert was super friendly and helpful, responded instantly to any questions or issues we had. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the busyness of life. The people in the area were also so friendly and everyone took the time to talk to you and shared useful information and history about Dominicalito.

Coming from an East Coaster who’s never seen the Pacific Ocean before, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This property is located on a semi-private beach. We saw maybe 3-4 people at most each day. Our visit was purely for the experience, and our hosts had great tips on how to find hidden gems in the area, away from tourists. We were close to a hidden away waterfall. If it weren’t for our host telling us about it, we would have never known it was there. They told us to take some bananas to a place nearby and that monkeys would frequent at 5pm each day. The monkeys came and I fed them. We went to a rainforest not far from this town and hiked, we walked over hanging bridges, saw beautiful waterfalls, and soaked in a waterhole by the falls at the end. We were the only ones there. This property is so close to a little town called Dominical where we fine dined a couple nights and did local places the rest of the time. Ate amazing fruit and drank from coconuts. I honestly don’t think our trip would have been as enjoyable as it was had it not been for this property and it’s amazing location, and our hosts.

They stay was amazing, just a short distance from Dominical. And the beach all to ourselves was spectacular. I would highly recommend the house if in the area. In fact extend your stay because it literally is such a cool part of Costa Rica.

Location couldn’t get much better. Just walk out the back and you are enjoying the beach. The town of Dominical is just a short drive or 15 minute walk down the beach.

I can't imagine a better place to unwind the nervous system, uplift the spirit, and relax into the beauty of sea, sand, and sky! We had the perfect nature retreat...sunrise and sunset meditations and walks on the secluded beach, great waves for boogie boarding, a cottage set up for lounging, falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of surf and birds, superbly gracious and helpful hosts who respond to queries within minutes and are present on the property but completely unobtrusive. We didn't even rent a car, just walked into town (easy and beautiful) and took an occasional taxi to some of the fantastic local outings recommended by Whit and Robert. We cooked most of our meals in the well-appointed kitchen. A one-of-a-kind opportunity and we will definitely be back!

This is our second time staying here. This is on the best section of beach in Dominical. The beach slopes so gradually that at low tide you walk 600 feet to get to the water, at high tide it is 15 feet to the water. Robert and Whit are very responsive hosts(and downright nice people). Easy access to many great resturants and beaches up and down the coast. Dont miss the whale tail! All in all, a great 10 days!

This is our 2nd time in this house. The owners are amazing. The house had everything we needed. If something you need is not there, it is one click away through your phone. It appears at your door next minute. You cannot beat the location. It is right on the beach. We enjoyed long walks on the ocean, swimming early in the morning and at night. We visited waterfalls around the area and beautiful parks. Thank you Robert for the beautiful time!

The property is so special being right on the beach, truly something out of a movie. No detail was overlooked, as the home was equipped with everything you may want or need. The beds are the most comfortable we've had on our travels. Robert went out of his way to ensure our stay was top notch. I'm certain we will be back again. The overriding reason to stay here is the access to the Beach. You have about 300 metres of private beach (328 yards American). The beach is accessible by others only at low tide when you can also hike further along. Watching the tides change and the sunsets make this a very special and private place. Thanks Robert and Whit.

We loved the location, beach, and house overall and appreciated the prompt and responsive communication with Robert. The beds and linens were great, and we loved the access to the boogie boards. We're also grateful for the access to laundry mid-vacation. That was a huge asset.

views, location and price was great. Only problem was phoning and emailing host. This was minor as they were right next door but confirming are arrival and announcing our departure were not received.

Beautiful, peaceful, perfect place to spend a week away. Host was kind and accommodating. There is plenty to explore around the area, (The Whale tail, las ventanas, cataratas) Yet staying at the cabin was so inviting! We highly recommend La Parcela Restaurant and Mirador Din Roger. If you’re looking for a beach vacation this is it! Loved the private beach and looking at the sunsets. Loved the outdoor shower and if you have any questions Robert answers them immediately. It was great to have the local phone. We were 4 adults and we were very comfortable. Would definitely go back.

Okay When you think of most “Beach Front” Properties, you think of a nice view from a balcony and probably a lot of people on the beach. This Is Not That Place!!! You are at the end of the road and no other houses hotels, nothing close by! On the busiest day we counted 10 other people on the beach, it’s a beautiful Long Beach in both directions. The first 2 days we just hung out and relaxed! Wonderful!!! Then we went out and enjoyed some adventures, we went on a jungle hike in one of Costa Rica’s largest National Parks, we went Snorkrling, we did some hikes to see some waterfalls, and more relaxing on the beach! We did most of our cooking and grilling at home, but we did enjoy taking in some of the local restaurants. The binder of activities and places to eat was wonderful! Relax, Get Away, Enjoy!

Found a wonderful routine of playing at the beach, resting, watching the sunset, and walking to town for a meal. Kids loved the lizards. Easy living. Would be back.

We found the place with zero issues as the directions provided where very accurate. Being able to walk to the ocean for a daily swim was so nice. We drove to town ~2x a day for food since it was so close and easy roads. The only thing to be prepared for (that we were not) is lots of house geckos and crabs in the rooms plus if you drop food the ants will for sure find it! You are right on the beach as described so naturally the "bugs" are present as well.

you know your vacation was awesome when you really don't want to go home and are contemplating moving there. The location was perfect with your own private beach. The pictures really do not do it justice. Whitt was extremely helpful and his recommendations in his guest book were spot on. We dined with monkeys at La Parcela and the Gusto restaurant was a special treat with homemade pasta made by real Italians. We also loved the Mangrove Tour he recommended and helped us set up. Best Vacay Ever! We are literally at the airport headed back trying to plan our next visit back!

This lovely home has two bedrooms with fabulous views of the ocean which is literally steps away. We have been to Costa Rica, Caribbean, Europe but this is THE best beach. The water is warm, waves are fun, and the sand is rock free. We enjoyed the 2 boogie boards he left, the music from his sound system and the abundance of clean towels. Whit is really the best host. We wish we could have stayed longer to talk and get to know him. He even gave us a local cell phone to use to contact him or area businesses. We highly recommend this home.

Amazing location on a secluded beach, but 5 mins from the town of dominical. Whit had excellent recommendations across the board. Seriously, book this beach house and listen to his recs. He sent us to the best restaurants! Included local phone was very helpful. The screened-in porch was perfect for relaxing at night. The beach itself was perfect for boogie boarding. After our visit to Manuel Antonio, we were very happy to choose whit’s place as our home base because it’s more private. Highly recommend this Vrbo!

We had a wonderful 8 days at Whit's property. The location is truly unmatched. Whit is one of the best hosts we have had in a vacation property. He had great communication and was responsive whenever I reached out. The other reviews are accurate in describing his style. He will be there to answer your questions and help out as much as you request but otherwise leaves you be to enjoy the beautiful property. He spend some time getting to know us and then gave us excellent recommendations. The restaurant suggestions he made were perfect for us. Gusto, Sabor Espanol, Mono Congo for breakfast, Citrus and Ballena Bistro were our favorites. We went on an ATV tour which was wild but so much fun, a private boat tour in the mangroves where we saw so much wildlife and a guided hike in Hacienda Baru were some of the highlights. The mornings and sunset were our favorite times - the sun on the water when it comes over the mountains and the nightly light show and nautical twilight were magical. There were many thoughtful touches in the home. We hated to leave. Thank you for sharing your home Whit.

My wife and I couldn’t be more happy with our stay in Dominical. The house was perfect. Private, quiet, clean and close to everything. Best beach ever. Whit was an amazing host and helpful in all aspects of our trip. Great resource for planning. Dominical is wonderful. Good roads, clean, chill, beautiful, no crowds, tons of stuff to do. We will be back next year!

The location was great. It is right on the beautiful beach not far from restaurants, fish markets and supermarkets. Whitney, the owner of the house, was very attentive. We got all information we needed for our stay. There are enough pans and pots in the kitchen in case you’d like to make your own meal. Laundry and cleaning service is available once a week. There are AC units in the kitchen/living room and the bedroom. They are working great. We contacted Whitney when we needed something. Whitney would get to us within minutes. If you do not mind 3.5 hours trip from the San Jose airport, this location is really great. We would like to come back next year. Thank you Whitney for our wonderful vacation!
