Hosts are extremely pleasant, courteous and gracious. Our home was clean, updated and convenient. We definitely hope to stay here again. Thank you, Marilyn and "Chic"!

We had such a nice time staying at this rental. The owners are so friendly and made us feel at home right away. Inside was clean and felt spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. A little strange they had a washer but no dryer but there is a clothesline outside. The back deck was the best part- nice and shaded with a view of the bay. We work remotely and spent every day out there on our laptops. Beach is two blocks away so super easy to get to. Even though there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance the LBI shuttle is very convenient when we didn’t want to drive. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed the experience! Chic & Marilyn - the owners take care of a great 2 family home. It has a great porch, outdoor shower, and very well maintained interior. The apartment was large enough for our family. While we have 4 kids, they were comfortably bunked up as they are a bit younger. We loved the location, as other reviews note - it's very close to the Bay Beach. And walkable to the ocean as well. And of course shopping, restaurants, etc. etc. THANKS so much for the wonderful stay, especially this year - respite was needed & received.

We had a great week in LBI. The house was perfect for our family of 4. Clean and nicely decorated. Close to 68th Street beach and beautiful partial bay view from the back deck. Chic and Marilyn were wonderful and very accommodating. We would love to stay here again!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Everything we needed and Marilyn and Chic are wonderful...very nice and accommodating. It’s located near the bay so we enjoyed beautiful sunsets, and close to the beach. Our second time staying, and we would stay again.

Our experience with the house and the owners was outstanding! House was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Good location with close proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Neighborhood was quiet. There was a nice park with a jungle gym for the kids and even a bay-side swimming area all within close walk from the house. If you are looking for the “traditional” LBI experience, this place was perfect!

The home is located on the bay side, only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I was blessed with 6 out of 7 sunny days, so I spent very little time inside. When I was inside, the home met my needs. The living room sofas, there are 2, and the bed were comfortable. Thankfully this rental comes with air which made the humid nights bearable. I walked up and down the island and always felt safe, especially at night. If you’re looking for a nice home, with a good location at a fair price, I would recommend this property.

Very nice, close to bay, clean and comfortable

We spent a week in July at the house. It was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen, and has a lovely deck. We enjoyed a wonderful cross breeze many days and some AC to help with still humid days. The owners were very kind, helpful, and quiet (they live upstairs). We enjoyed the Bay beach around the corner and it was a perfect place to do some open water swimming across the bay and back as well as play on the playground for our little one. Although we didn't love how busy the main street is (have to cross it to get to surf beach), it was close to restaurants, shops, and museums in Beach Haven. It was also easy to walk to the end of the quiet street and feed the ducks and watch the sunset when we wanted a quiet evening at the water. We would happily return to this rental!

Chic and Marilyn were wonderful. Making the reservation was easy and they responded quickly to all questions. They were very gracious hosts and went out of their way to make our vacation a great one! The place is full of light and nicely decorated. The location is on a nice quiet street near the bay, conveniently located to the ocean, restaurants and stores.

We rent in LBI every year and even though it was farther down the island than we usually stay, it was an excellent option. Nice place, clean, breezy, helpful owners and best of all, a good value. Definitely recommend it as a good option for a family of four.

Such a lovely place - new and clean and comfortable! Got to watch the sunset each night at the end of the block by the bay, and the ocean was just a short walk away. Great covered deck off the kitchen where we ate breakfast and dinners. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating! :o)

This first floor unit was perfect for our family of four. The house is spacious, light-filled and super clean. The yard and deck are very pleasant and there is plenty of outdoor seating if you have guests. There is great ventilation so we kept the windows open most of the time. We only used the air conditioning one afternoon. It was quiet and worked very well. The bay is a short walk at the end of the block. There is a bench where you can sit and take in the sunset. There is a lifeguarded bay beach with a playground about a block and half away. The ocean beach is a two to three block walk. The owners live in the second floor unit and this turned out to be a bonus. Marilyn and Chic take great care of the property and are helpful, kind hosts.

Beautiful first floor beach digs. Really liked the showers. Outside is well thought out for keeping clothes and towels dry with a separate area for the actual shower and the interior light was great for late night arrivals from sun and fun. Inside shower is very large and beautifully tiled with clean white subway style tiles. We mostly just slept and ate breakfast here, but were always comfortable opening the windows to let the cool evening breezes in or using the VERY quiet and quickly effective air conditioners on the more sticky nights. It easily accommodated five people for a week. Only two and a half block walk (short blocks on the island) to the beach and conveniently located a half a block form a traffic light at the Blvd. And the bay sunsets are beautiful from this location. Fun week all around.

LBI is an ideal place for vacations especially if you have kids. We are a family of 4. Marilyn is a great hostess. She and her family are very warm. Her house was recently renovated. It is very bright and beautifully decorated. My 4-year old daughter had fun playing in the backyard. My 1- year old baby enjoyed the stay as well. We couldn’t have had a better vacation!

This cottage was everything I expected "and then some". Quaint and beachy. Marilyn has done a fantastic job making repairs after "sandy". Marilyn's taste for decorating something in a beach community certainly makes me want to come back again and again. Her home is about in the middle of the island with shopping and fantastic dining on either side. Anyone who comes to LBI must check out this property.

This was our first home rental for us (family of 4: 14, 17,47 and 49 years old ). We found the place and the home as wonderful as we expected to. After the Sandy hurricane, Marilyn (hostess) did a huge job to replace and repair the home. So, this was clean everywhere and look the same as on the pictures. We spent all week at the beach (about 5-10 minutes by walk). The beach was not to crowdy, the sand was clean and the sea was not to cool (around 70C). Each day there was big waves to do surf and body surfing. We went dinner at Howard's restaurant in Beach Haven and bought good fish at Beach Haven Fishery. It's sure that we will come back! Our week was perfect on every points!

OUR RETREAT BY THE SEA WAS EVERYTHING WE HAD HOPED IT WOULD BE. CLEAN AND COZY AND CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. IT WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE BAY AND THE OCEAN. WE HAD ALL THE COMFORTS OF HOME AND WERE CLOSE TO SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND BEACH HAVEN AMUSEMENTS. WE ENJOYED THE QUIET SOLITUDE OF THIS NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL! WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK TO OUR RETREAT BY THE SEA!

My husband and I along with our 2 sons age 15 and 7 stayed at Marilyn's(great hostess) beach house and found it was just perfect for us. Very well appointed, just like in the pictures. The rooms were bright, breezy and clean. Included everything you need for your stay.We loved fishing right at the end of the block. Outside shower was great. Saw dolphins, climbed the lighthouse at Barnegat, went to the beach everyday and of course Fantasy Island. Soooo relaxing!!!!!
