This cottage was the perfect size and the perfect location for us! The owner was very easy to contact when we had a question. We would come again! (Note: while the cottage is across the street from the beach, it was a bit of a hike for us out-of-shape folks. There were 18 steps up and 18 down plus a small dune to walk over. We quickly got used to not carrying much with us so it was easier to manuever.)

This was our first time visiting Topsail Beach and we had a wonderful time! We loved learning the history of “Operation Bumblebee” and learning about the Sea Turtle Rescue. We hope to return again and visit more of the sights. This cozy cottage is so homey and comfortable. It’s equipped with everything you need and plenty of books, puzzles, toys for your inside entertainment if it rains or you just need some time away from the sun. This was a last minute trip on a Holiday weekend and we were so fortunate to find this great property. Be aware there is only one way off the island and traffic to the bridge can be slow. A+

One of my dearest old friends and I had the good fortune to find this rental. It was bright and airy, the AC worked great, very comfortable and clean, and the beach access was literally across the street. We wanted a quiet retreat, and Andrea’s cottage afforded us just that. She was available immediately for any questions we had, and she even texted us to let us know of the artist’s market that was happening in Topsail Beach. Property is easily accessible to Surf City for groceries and nightlife or Topsail Beach for putt-putt, mellow live music, and great food at the Beach Shop. When I need a Topsail fix, I’ll hope this cottage is available. Thanks, Andrea!!

This home was fully equipped with everything we needed- toys, books, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a blender, toaster, tupperware, sunscreen, crock pot, measuring spoons, etc. Great stay. I would love to stay at the same place if we go back.

Property was easy to navigate and the location was superb. The owner was most accommodating and pleasant to work with. A real find for a time at the beach.

If you're traveling with a smaller family, this is a great house and it has a good layout. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. About as close as you can get to the beach without actually being on the water. Beds are all comfortable and everything was in working order. Loved the artwork!

Had a great stay for the week. The house was a perfect size for us and 2 kids. Very short walk to public beach access. Place was clean and comfortable, all appliances in good working order, had everything available in the kitchen we needed, and host was quickly reachable. Would happily book again if back in the area. We had such an amazing time! This is the perfect size for a family of 6. The location is awesome. Beach access is literally across the street. This was our first trip to Topsail and I truly can’t say enough good things. We will definitely be back!

Place needs a lot of updating. Deck furniture was very shabby. Bed spreads old and frayed. Too much mismatched clutter in the kitchen. Throw away everyone's STUFF they left in the cabinets.

We absolutely loved this little beach house. It was clean and very nicely decorated. We loved the traditional old wood floors and ceilings. It was also nice having everything on one level.

This is the perfect house for a quiet and relaxing beach get-away. We had five guests (1 adult + 4 teenagers) and it was just the right size. The house was comfy, very clean, and well-stocked with all the necessities: dishes/cooking utensils, a grill, two Roku TVs, board games, books, boogie boards, beach chairs... even an outdoor shower. We wanted to limit our contact with others as much as possible, so really appreciated that this is a stand-alone house with its own parking and beach access that is limited to only ~10 houses. Although the house is not directly on the beach, the location is still excellent. The private beach access point is just across the street and there is also access to the intercoastal waterway just a few doors down--equally situated to catch breath-taking sunrise or sunset views! Andrea was a great host and very quick to respond to all of my questions. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place that is family-friendly and affordable, while still providing the luxury of being only steps away from the beach.

My family of 4 had a great week at the beach here in August 2020. It was a really ideal location for us for the pandemic because it is right across the street from a stairs/boardwalk access to the beach that is private to about 5-8 houses. The beach itself was wide and uncrowded. The house was a great size for a small family group. I really liked the art in the house, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the boogie boards in the storage space under the house, and the outdoor shower. I really appreciated the property manager's clear, fast communication with us. The couch in the living room was not the most comfortable b/c the seat cushions are sort of too low, resting on the frame of the pull-out couch mechanism. But we stuck some throw pillows under the seat cushions and then it was fine. I gave it 3 stars for cleanliness because we had a mix-up about cleaning the house before we arrived. We had talked about cancelling at one point and then changed our mind, and the owner cancelled the cleaners when we cancelled and forgot to re-book them. But she generously offered us a refund of the cleaning costs. I would stay here again for a family vacation. Thanks!

It was an awesome spot for our get away-the house was clean and had everything we needed to cook. The deck was beautiful in the evening with an ocean breeze. The sunsets behind the house were beautiful and a short walk across the street you could take an early morning stroll and see the sunrise. I would highly recommend this house for your vacation spot.

The property is well maintained, all new ceiling fans and new oven. Two flat TV screens with ROKU with all channels you need. Has full kitchen amenities. Andrea was great in her communications. Had a great time with my family in this cozy home. Would stay again.

just the right mix of old style island warm knotty pine detail and modernity. the host has placed beautiful art and wall hung photos, well equipped kitchen for cooking, and comfortable furniture. beach access is great along with sound side views to the sunset. andrea is a great host!

The owner is great to work with. She went over and beyond to help with some issues that were out of her control!!

Nice place for a beach vacation

Everything was great. Only downside was beach chairs not working. Other than that my family enjoyed the home!

What a great place to stay and enjoy the waning summer! We felt at home as soon as we walked in! It was clean, well appointed, and ready for us. Andrea was great to work with and we are planning next summer's get-away as we speak.

Located in a quiet neighborhood with great access to the beach. We felt like we connected to this book filled beach property. We loved the art throughout the house. Plenty of pots and pans for cooking. It's pretty close to Surf City and the little shops in Topsail Beach. Very clean when we arrived. No problems with Internet or TV. Fit six people comfortably.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and with across the street beach access, this house is a great place to stay for the price. It is an older home, so some things are a little worn, but everything that needs to works.
