Couldn’t of asked for a better location. Winter Harbor is a nice little community, and this property was ideal. Close to great hiking trails, amazing scenery, yet is isolated enough to make you feel like you are part of the coast. Excellent management .. highly recommend!

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and it does not disappoint. If you want views, peace and quiet, chances of seeing harbor seals, porpoises or deer this is the place. Great new deck off the front entry. House is comfortable and feels like home. House was clean when we arrived. Easy trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor and Schoodic is 10 minutes away. Well worth the price.

My family and I had a great stay at the house. Everything was perfect but the views were the best. Our boys loved to climb along the rocks. All in all, we highly recommend staying at the Jordan Harbor House. Can’t wait to come back!

My family and I had a lovely stay at this property! The views were the best part - really lovely, and you can walk down to the shore and climb along the rocks - we never saw another soul while doing that, and there were abundant mussels that my teenager enjoyed preparing for us. Clean home with comfortable beds, everything you could need in the kitchen, and wonderful communication with the host. So close to Schoodic Point, so you can explore Acadia without the crowds or traffic - bikes (electric and regular) are even available to rent in town. Another local high point was The Bakery in Winter Harbor - only open a few mornings a week, but wonderful offerings and quality; not to be missed (try their maple twist)! We're hoping to return!

If you love hiking during the day and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean then this location can't be beat. There are many great hikes nearby and the ocean and granite ledges on your doorstep are picture perfect. The house itself is very beautiful, well maintained, and has everything you need. Our family is already looking forward to coming back!

Clean and comfortable home. Very easy check in. The views were undersold in the listing. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. We’ve stayed in Bar Harbor twice and Winter Harbor is FAR better. Toured the Schoodic part of Acadia this time but decided to forgo the Mt Desert Island portion this time around because the views from the house are at least as beautiful and no crowds! Saw eagles and porpoises every day and even seals a few times right from the rocks at the house. Also deer in the yard twice. For anyone who wants a place to unwind in perfect serenity this is the place! Would love to come back!

Upon arrival of the property we noticed how secluded and personal it felt. The property is located on a magnificent spot with great views of the ocean and landscape. The house was clean and well maintained. The property manager kept very good communication and was very helpful with everything. Overall stay was very enjoyable and would recommend to anyone.

This beautiful house made our trip to Acadia national park perfect. The house is clean and have everything we need. The view is breath taking. We can just sit beside the dinning table enjoy the view and hear the wave sound for a whole day, especially for a raining day. We saw deer every day and even spotted a seal when we had breakfast. The owner and the cleaning team are very nice and considerate, which make our stay very comfortable! Highly recommended! Hope to have chance to stay again. :-)

This was our third time staying at this property. We’ve tried other properties in the area, but we keep returning to this comfortable home because the views just can’t be beat. We also love the home’s proximity to the town of Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula (the quiet side of Acadia).

Such an incredible place! Spectacular views of the mountains on MDI with private shore access, not to mention the most adorable and coziest house I've ever seen surrounded by dense and moss covered pine forest. What more can't you ask for on a Maine getaway! The owners were incredibly responsive and accomodating. They even shipped us some items we left behind. I can't recommend this place enough.

Filled with natural light, very well located relaxation place for recharge with the nature views, fresh forest air and the sound of ocean, fantastic night sky without light pollution. The property is beautiful, clean and welcoming. For me it was a perfect vacation.

Listing was misleading about proximity to Acadia National Park. It is close to the mini version on a different peninsula. Property was beautiful. And clean

Very comfortable home with good amenities. You can’t beat the location and the stunning views if the bay and other islands. You can walk on the granite rocks along the water and 1 minute later you can be in luscious forests. Winter Harbor is a delightful little town with fun shops. Definitely better than Bar Harbor which was ridiculously jammed with wall to wall people and a tourist trip. We highly recommend this place!

Access is from unimproved gravel road. Uncomfortable furnishings. Door locks missing or in need of repair - ubsecure. Rugged ocean coastline access from backyard. Beautiful sunsets from balcony.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful setting. Looking out of most any window and seeing the bay, hearing the waves, watching the sunsets--it was heaven. We decided not to sleep in the upstairs bedroom because we didn't want to chance that spiral staircase in the middle of the night. But it was OK; we slept in the bedroom near the kitchen (which definitely needs some new sheets) and used the upstairs room as a place to do some artwork -- very nice. The view is magnificent. Kitchen had everything we needed (there's no dishwasher, but we didn't mind that.) Lovely place to enjoy this part of Maine.

The view from this property was the best we found during our stay, including the one from Acadia National Park. If you want to be among the tourists, stay at Bar Harbor. If you want the view, tranquility, and nature, stay here.

This property is remarkable! The view, standing out on the rocks is unparalleled. No 5 star resort could compare with this setting. Our family greatly appreciated being able to stay here. Only wish we could have stayed longer! We loved hearing the fog horns, seeing the sky full of stars, watching the lobster boats, studying the tide pools and smelling the fresh sea air. The house itself is filled with many artistic touches and a great selection of books. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

No internet as advertised. Dim TV. Uncomfortable furniture except bed in master. For those who like roughing it, this is for you. Great view, great landscaping, few comforts inside.

Great location right on the ocean. The wife and kids could have spent the whole week exploring the granite rocks by the ocean looking for crabs and star fish. House was clean and a few maintenance items that need to be taken care of but a solid listing. There was a roller missing on one of the screen doors making inoperable. The renter refilling the LP tank for the grill was a little different also.

Gorgeous location & beautiful home
We loved our stay! The house was wonderful and very clean. The location was perfect for day trips or just staying put. Dinner in winter harbor at the Gallery proved to be a wonderful surprise.

Secluded Paradise
We opened the doors to our car when we arrived and immediately sprinted down to the water in awe! What an incredibly gorgeous place in the world! Our boys loved playing on the rocks during our stay and there just isn’t a better view of Cadillac Mountain. It was stunning. The house was welcoming and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Definitely stop in Ellsworth for groceries as the restaurants in nearby Winter Harbor were closed early in the week. The Wi-Fi was spotty at times in the evening, though the LTE worked great. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet escape in a beautiful place.

Absolutely idyllic home right on the water in beautiful Winter Harbor. Light, Airy, well equipped. Loved listening to the waves. Perfect place from which to explore Acadia with a peaceful place to return and relax!

Location is 10 Star
The location of this property is simply amazing. The rocky coast with crashing waves is the back yard. The property is cozy and comfortable. As others have mentioned, the spiral staircase is a little weird, but manageable for most. The internet was spotty during our stay and unfortunately yo-yo’ed up and down most every night and made streaming TV difficult (not the owners’ fault).

Comfortable home. Beautiful location. Not 5 miles from Acadia NP, unless they mean "as the crow flies" or to Schoodic Peninsula. 1 hour drive to mount dessert island ANP.
Not an issue with the spiral stair case entrance, but disconcerting that it is the only exit.

Location,location,location. With a brief walk you are sitting on the rocks and absorbing the energy of the ocean. The house speaks with its art throughout the interior that enhance the views.
Our first encounter with the spiral stair cases was a little daunting but we quickly adapted.

Well worth the price!!!
The house is worth the price of admission. The house is well maintained, clean and has everything you need as far as supplies for cooking and so on. Views are amazing and Mother Nature provided us with some amazing sunsets. Had coffee down on the rocks in the morning and drinks in the evening. Slept with slider open up in the main bedroom. Nice hearing the waves and enjoying the cool air in the morning. See the boats in the morning picking up their lobsters. The house is remote so plan accordingly. The spiral staircases won’t be for everyone. Head to Schoodic Peninsula part of Acadia National Park. Lots of amazing views and a lot less people than the main part of the park. Lots to do or nothing to do. You decide. I’d stay here again.
