This was our third or fourth visit - I've lost count - but I know it will not be our last. As always, everything was perfect. Comfortable, efficient, well-designed, tasteful, elegant - the Tree Fort Suite is all that and more. Barbara is a thoughtful and creative host who carefully plans and maintains every aspect of the suite to ensure her guests' visit is absolutely wonderful. We are so grateful to have this awesome place to stay whenever we are in Stony Creek, a lovely and historic town.

The tree fort was an adorable getaway and even had holiday decorations and new years treats for our stay! We also had a fun time checking out the vintage shop.

Our family was in town for a family wedding and this was a great place to stay! I recommend it highly

Thoroughly enjoyed out stay in a perfect location in Branford. A short stroll to a lovely little village harbor w/ spectacular views and a small local cafe. There is also a beautiful walkway through the marshes less than a block away and many other charming and lovely coves, parks and walks nearby. The apartment is very comfortable and immaculate and has a surprising nice vista from the large picture window. This location is excellent for exploring all the lovely seashore villages nearby as well as a visit to Yale or the New Haven museums and restaurants. A wonderful vacation and rental in spite of less than ideal weather.

Pictures do not do it justice. First word that came to mind when we walked in was, perfection. Loved the decor and all the extras that are available for guests. There were coffee pods, snacks, dog bags... more than I expected. Would definitely go back.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The property was cute and comfortable and right down the street from walking trails, a sandy beach, a great restaurant, and a fun playground for our kid. We’d definitely stay here again!

The pandemic delayed our second trip to this property - worth the wait as it was just as wonderful as we remembered it. Barbara has managed to combine design, functionality and comfort into an amazing space inside, and nature provides the beautiful setting outside. We had everything we needed for a great stay.

We had an amazing stay. The tree house was perfect. The decor was very nicely done. Barbara was always quick to communicate and left snacks to make us feel welcome. We loved walking down to the water. Was a great location. Would highly recommend.

Lovely property and area!

We truly didn’t want to leave and will definitely return! Check in and communication was a breeze….Barbara (host) is friendly and one of the MOST thoughtful people we have ever met! The location of the property is outstanding - a short walk to the nearby beach and pier to look at the beautiful Thimble Islands or an easy drive to grocery shopping or downtown New Haven. We enjoyed the view of the water from the living room and felt like we were miles away from the busy world. Such a quaint village! The decor in the suite was impeccable - a combination of whimsical and rustic, unique antiques, and modern touches - that created a welcoming and home-like atmosphere. The kitchen was equipped better than our kitchen at home - a waffle iron, air fryer, and everything you would want but wouldn’t expect to find in a rental! The beds were incredibly comfortable and we enjoyed looking out of the skylights to look for the stars. There is a commuter train that passes by periodically but it didn’t bother us at all and we tend to be light sleepers. For those that are sensitive to noise and light, Barbara has you covered! She placed an eye mask and ear plugs in an adorable antique box. Barbara really goes the extra mile to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable - she left us some delicious snacks after our long drive, folded the wash clothes into a neat pocket, folded the tissues and toilet paper into flowers, put out some holiday decorations and fresh flowers, and even left out robes and slippers for us to use!!! We felt so pampered and taken care of! Everything about our visit was spectacular and we truly fell in love with the area! We had an opportunity to visit Barbara’s store on the lower level and spent nearly an hour delighting in all of the unique vintage items and awesome jewelry for sale! By far, the best VRBO home we have ever stayed in!

Booked this place last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased! The apt is right across from the marsh walk (a favorite Branford spot for us) in the charming Stony Creek neighborhood. Very spacious and comfortable. Snacks were left in the kitchen to greet us and the decor is just lovely. Absolutely everything you need to be comfortable away from home. We would certainly return!

This apartment is better in person than in the photos! Very charming with wonderful creative touches. Beautiful sunsets and distant water view from the living room. Close to shoreline train track but noise didn’t bother us. We hope to come back during the summer.

Barbara referred to us as guests and I liked that … we were not renters or clients. As stated before the pictures don’t do the Tree House justice. This is the first VRBO that had so much included! Stoney Creek itself is perfection and we went out of season and we’re happy about it. We highly recommend this VRBO. THANK YOU, Barbara, for everything!!!!

Excellent. Loved that it was pet friendly.

Just loved this charming loft rental. We felt like we were in a treehouse. Huge deck with water view. Stoney Creek is a cute little village that has a market with delicious breakfasts and lunches. You can sit outside and look at the marina. Also several gift shops. ... all within walking distance from the rental property.

Very eclectic, large apartment. Fully stocked, very comfortable, and nicely located. Must go up a set of stairs to get to the apartment and bring a sleeping mask for light from skylight above master bed.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Barbara was so friendly and helpful. Everything that we needed and more was waiting for us. We can’t wait to come back! Our daughters loved it.

The house was very well appointed, and Barbara clearly went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome. There was a gift basket with snacks, fresh-cut flowers in the kitchen, and the house was appointed with everything that one would need to have a relaxing and enjoyable time. Thank you, Barbara!

Everything was just about perfect for a weekend visit with our daughter. It is a well-appointed dwelling and Barbara clearly takes the time to make sure her guests are comfortable. The place was so well equipped that our decision to cook all meals in was easily done. Due to the good weather we were able to hike with the dogs at a Branford Supply Pond and eat a take-out lunch in the gazebo on the beach. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Very comfortable, clean, well-maintained property in a lovely location. Great amenities. Barbara is terrific and was helpful in recommending excellent places to walk and eat (two of our favorite things)! We hope to return soon.

We stayed here while getting our floors refinished. What a beautiful, welcoming place. Tons of natural light and beautiful sunsets. We would definitely stay here again!

The Tree Fort suite was wonderful! The outside deck space alone made it worth the rental, but the inside was perfect too. Our host was friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend this rental. The location is stunning and we enjoyed many sunsets and some fishing. The Stony Creek Market is great for breakfast and lunch.

We enjoined staying at this place, it's very clean and neat, it's equipped with everything you might need and we were able to use the property's wifi for school and work. The location is great and people in the neighborhood are nice and friendly. We would definitely highly recommend this property.

The apartment is unusual, with high sloped ceilings, and it’s beautifully designed and decorated. The walls are full of amazing artifacts—a whaling harpoon, snow shoes, and old sled, and many other tasteful objects are found throughout the rooms. It’s a short walk to a charming waterfront, and the place has great, big deck. We’ve never rented such an exceptional apartment!

Much better than the pictures and well appointed - other than your food everything else, including robes for your use are provided. The rooms are great size. Barbara is a wonderful host. Plenty of Parking is A bonus. We Love this area.

Great place to get away with 2 small kids as a family! House was clean and had everything we needed. Short walk to small town beach and few restaurants! Cute decor and nice open concept!
