This house was perfect - conveniently located, great charm, beautiful views. It had everything we needed to make our stay a perfect getaway. The kitchen is fully stocked and easy to cook in. Cannot beat the sounds and views from the master. Will definitely come back here again!

The Yeoman's Cottage was perfect for our family. Upon arrival we met Leslie who showed us around the cottage and provided us with the history of the home and the Yeoman family. We found the Porch to be our favorite gathering place to start the day and end the day with a beautiful sunset. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities needed for our stay as well as plenty of room for everyone. We have been visiting Ephraim for over 35+ years and this home was spot on for our family of 10. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this special house. Sue and Tom B.

This home is full of character and perfect for making memories with family or friends. We had a great weekend celebrating my parents 50th anniversary. It’s close to the state park and other Door County activities but also is a fun place to be on its own with waterfront and great porches for spending the morning or evening.

All the comforts for a family gathering, 7 adults, 2 children. Fabulous site, secluded feel, away from (but very near) hubbub of Ephraim, water front, fantastic wraparound porch, sunsets and views get no better. Much thanks to the owner for keeping this classic available. Everything we were hoping for. Looking forward to another visit.

This is a beautiful old home. It was built in the early 1900’s. Not much has changed from the time it was built. ( Structurally). The porch over looking the lake is worth the trip alone. Let me finish by saying that we have already booked our stay for next September.

We loved our second year vacationing in this wonderful cottage. Everything was perfect! We had plenty of room for our family of 10 and made many wonderful memories. Can’t wait until next year.

We repeat our stays at this cottage as somehow it immediately instills a state of relaxation. Something about it. Leslie the caretaker is great. Door County always great, but entertainment and dining options are exploding. The upgrades at Piggly Wiggly as even fantastic. Loved our stay and will be back.

What a wonderful place to get away from it all. This home was exactly what we were looking for! Wonderful back porch to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets, cozy living room and dining room with enough room for the whole family. Hope to make this home a family tradition!

Our family of 7 have stayed here six different times. Each visit has been wonderful. The water, the sun sets, and the entire house have been a perfect place for our family. We have been visiting Door County for 30+ years. We look forward to returning in 2023. Brian westphalen

This cottage is a classic Door County beauty on the shore of Eagle Harbor. The view of Peninsula State Park and Horse Shoe Island are spectacular on their own but add in an evening sunset it’s breathtaking. The house is sprawling but with many cozy areas to gather in large or small groups. We especially enjoyed the screened in dining room and there were many Uno and Cribbage games played on the porch. This house is well suited to a large family gathering and I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time on our stay. The house is full of character and charm. The location is perfect . The front porch is an amazing place to watch the sunset. We had kids with us and they loved the house and lake. Had a small issue w upstairs bathroom we’d have like seen taken care of during our stay. The lack of a dock is really the biggest issue, we’d really like to see a full dock installed .

We frequently stay in Door Co and this place has to be our favorite so far! There's plenty of room, great breezes, wonderful views and the location cannot be better. It is close to the quaint town of Ephraim, but very feels very private and secluded. We loved the rustic charm of this old well-loved home and you can tell it has been very well taken care of. The Lord willing...we will return!

Wonderful and charming historic house and property. So authentic and quirky, loved it more with each day. Accommodating for large group dinners with scenic open porch and enclosed dining room. Great location. Watching sunsets from deck was magnificent! Thoroughly enjoyed our week there, wish we didn’t have to leave.

Great family vacation experience! We enjoyed many hours on the deck and playing in the water. You can feel the love and history throughout the house. Lack of central air not a problem the week we were there (average high 80, low 65). The caretaker met us there and was available throughout. All in all a great stay!

Yeomans Cottage offers a wonderful lakefront experience and incredible view. The historic home accommodated our immediate family perfectly. It allowed three families to have separate bedroom/bathroom spaces. The well-stocked house was attended by on site very nice owner-management (Leslie and Paul), and all communications via email were thorough with timely responses from owner-management (Charlie). We hope to enjoy a return visit.

This was our third stay at this property in what is kind of becoming a yearly no-kids weekend with friends. The place has lots of character- the porch overlooking the lake is a wonderful way to begin and end each day. Very easy to interact with the owner when any issues or questions arise. Very comfortable beds.

We rented the property for a week in September 2019 for a reunion. The cottage is charming, and the views of the bay and sunset are spectacular. The kitchen is well equipped and we comfortably served dinner for a group of 19. The cottage provides an ample amount of dishes and a dishwasher so we were able to keep trash to a minimum. The size of our group exceeded the 10 person capacity of the cottage, so we rented rooms across the street at the newly refurbished O'Malley's Inn. That combination worked out wonderfully. All of our guests remarked about how quiet and secluded the cottage felt nestled in the trees. The wood burning fireplace came in handy during some cool nights and really made the cottage feel cozy. The location in Ephriam is centrally located in Door County and everything we wanted to do and see was only a short distance away. We would highly recommend this property.

Our family has gathered in Door County four times over the last five years and have stayed at a Resort as well as two other VRBO properties - this particular home was our best selection by far The house was spacious, clean and charming and the deck and views were spectacular and for a base location over a one week stay - Ephraim is the perfect spot! We will certainly come back

This is our second year here and one of my favorite places I have stayed in Door. We have been coming for 30+ years and have stayed all over the place. Also the property is absolutely immaculate!

We had another memorable family vacation in the most charming lake house on the peninsula.

Each visit has been perfect. We are a family of seven, making the 5 bedrooms perfect. Being right on the water is perfect and the sunsets are amazing. Plan on being back for another year.

Had a family reunion w 8 adults, 1 child & 1 Toddler. Biggest pluses are water access/ views (of Peninsula Park Bluffs/ adjacent islands/ water and sunsets) / large covered porch on back of house w great bay view and closeness to downtown Ephraim. Kitchen well stocked. Dock is great place to sit/ feed Ducks and launch kayaks. House oozes character and has lots of books of various genres. nice screened dining room and rustic living room w very nice views of bay. Can walk to downtown Ephraim in 10 min easily. Several sitting areas outside and multiple folding chairs by dock as well as a nice hammock nearby. Newer large 3 door refrigerator. Property is all on a fairly steep slope with cobble stone steps from house to guest cottage and from house to the dock. multiple steps from house to parking area which can accommodate 4 cars and kayak trailer if you are careful. Owner is very helpful and prompt in answering questions. Biggest negative is lack of A/C which is mainly a factor at nite if you like it cool and not too humid. House is surrounded by numerous cedar trees which shade 90% of the property and there is often a nice breeze especially to the back of the house. There are several fans provided. My wife and I stayed in the guest cottage which has only 1 window that can be opened so cross ventilation is not possible unless you leave the front door opened as there is a screen door that can be latched. Some of the mattresses are on the softer side. The spacious upstairs bedroom with the king bed is the best sleeping quarters with a great water view and nice breeze. You do have to watch your steps on the walkways especially leading from house to dock as the stones are uneven in places. Overall we had a great week and created many memories. The water access and views are what make this place so special and the convenient location close to Ephraim is icing on the cake. Enjoy!

A group of friends since childhood got together to celebrate the year we all turn 50. This cottage could not have been more perfect for us 5 couples. We cooked one glorious dinner in, we played on the water, we dined out, we golfed, hiked and shopped. All of these activites were within 10 minutes of the house. Thank you to Charlie and to the Yoemans family. We will return and i will recommend this house to all. 5 Star all the way.

Close to everything, great for large family

We had a great weekend in this historic, antiqued cabin on the water. Charlie was very responsive leading up to the trip and our time spent in the home was enjoyed by all. Because of the historic, quaint nature of the property, it made it a little difficult to navigate with small children but beyond that it was wonderful.

I’m no newbie to Door County. Been going for forty years and my family owns a cottage in Rowley’s Bay so my insight here is one from experience. I spread the gospel of the Door to anyone that listens but I’m always concerned those that visit simply work their way up 42, shop a bit, stay at the hotels (still nice) that dot the highway and never immerse themselves in all the County has to offer. This cottage is a wonderful place to start. It’s charming, piney, old, historic, comfortable and blessed with an amazing location on Eagle Harbor with glorious sunsets and cedar trees that surround. My four college buddies and I spent four crisp September days rehashing our past lives with cocktails on the dock at night with a sunset and coffee in the morning. The porch saw its share of afternoon naps as well as a good book read or two all while a fire blazed in the living room. I cannot gush enough. Perfect stay. All you need is there, from glassware to towels to comfy beds heavy with warm blankets. An iconic north woods cottage with huge rooms and cool spaces. Great family history, too. Quiet but centrally located, I cannot find a downside save the fact we wish we were there longer.
