The room was perfect for our family of four. With two small boys under the age of 10, having lots of room inside and on the lanai was incredibly helpful when we came in for a rest from the sun and heat. This resort is so kid-friendly with three pools and easy access to the beach! We’ll be back!

We spent a week in this beautiful condo in October. It was exactly as described- clean, spacious, and in the perfect location. With 2 master suites the kids had their own space as did my husband and I. We loved the fantastic ocean view and truly being able to hear the waves. The kids loved the included boogie boards and beach chairs. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions. We’d definitely stay here again!

Condo has everything we need, location is great groceries stores near by and food trucks steps away, beautiful sunset view from condo balcony, we love it.

This property was beautiful, clean and well-maintained. It is located in the heart of Kanapali Beach, and is the perfect place to just plug and play with children. Multiple pools, easy (and quick) access to the beach, and 4 miles from Lahaina. This was our family's first trip to Maui, and this property was a big part of making the trip fantastic. The owner was also extremely accessible and responsive. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Grounds are beautiful & condo was spacious. Tile grout needed to be clean & kitchen didn’t have storage for groceries. Loved the balcony & view

From start to finish, we had an amazing stay. The check in process was very simple. The unit and the entire property was clean and well-managed. The beds are comfortable, the view is amazing, and all the touches in the unit are very tasteful. Communication with the owners was seamless. I highly recommend this rental!

Great Ocean views, we were able to see very active whales. The pool was excellent, with the convenience of an on-site bar/restaurant and pool service. Farzie was great to work with. Very communicative and easy process all the way through. We can’t wait to come back.

This is a beautiful, well equipped condo with views of the ocean & the whales! The resort is a great property with pools, beaches & a great restaurant. The only frustration was parking. Overall a great experience.

First, the property has great views of the complex and the ocean. We spent most of our time on the lanai. Unfortunately, the unit itself is rather dated and dreary. The couch is old and stained. There is a piece missing on the sink faucet. The mattresses are old. The drain in the master bath does not function (will not stay open to drain). Be mindful--there is a somewhat hidden 3% "processing fee" that is NOT disclosed in the VRBO all-in price but is shown in the contract sent by the property manager.

My best friend and I really enjoyed our stay! The condo is clean, well stocked and very comfortable. Beach chairs were perfect for enjoying the oceanfront!! Great communication with owners!! I was happy that the spa was open. Very nice location, with lots of choices for activities!!

We absolutely loved this property, it was perfect for our family. The views we absolutely amazing. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen stocked with supplies. Walking distance to the beach and the beach chairs and toys supplied were a huge plus! We are looking forward to our next trip!

We had an excellent time during our stay at the Honua Kai, Unit 605, in the Konea building. The location of this room is perfect. With views of the ocean and one of the pool areas, we enjoyed lots of time on the extra large balcony. The room was super clean, and stocked with everything you might need for time on Maui. Four beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, everything you can think of for time on the beach is there. The kitchen is stocked with most supplies you will need for vacation cooking. It is a beautiful unit, so nice and pretty, clean and comfortable, and the location is convenient to everything. There is a small store in the lobby, where they even prepare coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, etc., and they also have toiletries, souvenirs, a small amount of groceries, etc. There is a workout room on the first floor, stocked with lots of equipment. And there is also a full service spa in the lobby. Times Market grocery store is right across the street, within walking distance. And there are food trucks right next door, for that last minute bite. The convenience of parking in the underneath parking garage and hopping on the elevator is unbeatable for convenience. Duke’s Restaurant is right on the property. The walk to the beach is less than five minutes. The miles long boardwalk goes right through the property. The owners of the property are easy to communicate with, very accommodating, and responsive to any concerns we had. I highly recommend the Honua Kai. We would never stay anywhere else. And this unit, being two bedrooms and two bathrooms, is the nicest, most comfortable unit we have stayed in, and we have stayed at the Honua Kai at least ten times.

I was unable to go, but our friends reported that the property was clean. Kitchen was nice, although they didn't eat in much. Overall, they liked it very much.

A couple friends and I stayed here for 5 days - would highly recommend! This place provided a great balance of relaxation and opportunity for adventure with a short to moderate drive depending on your interests. The views were gorgeous and the environment was clean.

Honua Kai has been our Maui home for the past 12 years. We have stayed in a number of different properties over those years. Konea 605 was nice. The ocean views are spectacular. We did find that housekeeping had not cleaned some pans and utensils and some of the dishes were not clean but no problem, we washed them without any problem. Covid has reaked havoc with the resort with few chairs by the pool and only a few of the bar b ques in use. We made the best of it and enjoyed our 9 days, which felt very short.

This condo is amazing! There isn’t anything negative to say. It is clean, spacious and the view is amazing! My 17 year old son slept on the pull out sofa and said it was the most comfortable he has stayed on. They have beach chairs, umbrellas and toys available. The pool is fun. My only complaint was parking if you leave and come back at night. Spots were impossible to find. But I’d stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Especially with kids.

We had a fantastic time! The property was clean, well equipped in the kitchen! Loved the left over spices from other families. We added to the collection. We cooked often and the kitchen was so helpful. The beds are hard, but it’s Maui and who cares! I would stay here again in a heart beat!

Our family has been to Maui a few times, and this was our first time at HK. We'll be back! The units are modern, clean and spacious, the pool area is awesome, and the market and Duke's are convenient. Unit 605 was great -- beautiful view of the water and pool area, and we felt right in the middle of everything. I would say our biggest challenge was the parking lot -- just figuring out where to park in order to get up to our part of the building the most easily, and finding parking in general. The bellmen were helpful, though, and let us park in the valet lot if we couldn't find a spot in the evening. Another thing to note is that the beach is beautiful (we saw sooo many whales), but be careful of the rocks under the surface in front of HK. If you walk just a bit south to the beach after the Westin, in front of the private villas, that's better. Overall we loved our stay, and loved all the conveniences nearby too. Kaanapali is the best.

My family and I recently spent 10 days in this beautiful condo at this wonderful resort. We were here a few weeks after Maui opened its doors to travelers on October 15th with the PreTravel program. It was clear that the owner of this condo, as well as the resort, have taken the necessary precautions to keep their guests safe. The condo was perfect for the 4 of us with the 2 spacious bedrooms each with their own master baths. The living space and furnishings are beautiful, and the kitchen area is well stocked and perfect for preparing meals. We were especially impressed with the beautiful large lanai which has a beautiful northwest view with panoramic views of the ocean, and of spectacular sunsets and the beautiful rainbows we were delighted to see almost every evening and morning of our stay. The lanai also overlooks the beautifully landscaped courtyard and pool area. This condo is also close to a beautiful beach and the boardwalk that extends the length of Kaanapali with views of the ocean along the way. There is also a wonderful restaurant (Duke’s Beach House) located on the resort grounds. The condo owner provides beach towels and also has beach chairs, boogie boards, and other sand toys available for guests. Although I didn’t need to contact her very often during our stay, the owner responded in a timely manner both before and during our stay. Since this is the perfect location on Kaanapali to stay, I will definitely rent from this owner again.

We had a great time. The condo is all it says it is. Our view was very good and we saw lots of whales. The parking is non existent after 8:30 at night. You have to valet pretty much or get back before that time. Also check in at 4:00 means 4:00 and there was a line of people waiting to get their keys. The overall experience was very good and I highly recommend the Honua Kai.

We had a wonderful time! The unit was spacious and clean. Honua Kai was great for a family with small kids. We plan to return!
