Our stay at 401 Summerhouse was perfect. The communication was excellent, the location was exactly what we wanted, the condo was lovely with a well appointed kitchen. We spent most of our time at the condo sitting on the balcony looking at and listening to the ocean, the beach, the birds. We hope to go back in the future.

A+ We are frequent VRBO renters and 401 Summerhouse is one of the best appointed places we have stayed in! It makes a vacation extra nice when the property provides so many of the little things you will need or may need during your stay…like: trash bags, laundry detergent/stain spray/dryer sheets, liquid hand soap and room spray for each bathroom, beach chairs, awesome chairs for the porch. I could go on and on with this! All appliances are new. Decor is current. There is an actual pantry! Julie and her family have a lovely place, in a great location, with thoughtful extras. So appreciated!!!

We had an amazing week in this condo. It was perfect for our family of six. The proximity to the beach and pool is perfect. And the surrounding area is beautiful. Beach not too crowded and was very clean. We have scheduled again for next year. ☺️

We just completed a week stay and didn’t want to leave! The condo is beautiful and the views are unbeatable. It’s located inside Wild Dunes, its prime season the beach isn’t crowded and they area feels safe and homey. Julie was awesome to work with. We had two families, teens ans adults. Super short walk to beach, the teens loved the pool at night, we walked the mile up to Sweetgrass Inn for ice cream and drinks at Hudsons Market a few times. There are restaurants in wild dunes and isle of palms, we mostly ate in Charleston and Mt Pleasant for dinner but you could stay on the island the whole time if you wanted we had too many in Charleston we wanted to try. Our stay was great, we will definitely recommend!

The owner Julie was Excellent. She always answered any questions that we had and got back to us within minutes. This condo is furnished with everything! Will definitely stay again.

We had two families stay--4 parents and 6 children. All had a great time! The little cousins had so much fun playing in the pool and on the beach together--couldn't have been better!

We all loved this condo from the minute we stepped inside! It felt very clean and inviting, and we instantly felt at home. I was so pleasantly surprised to find many extra amenities we didn’t expect such as fans in the bedrooms (great for white noise lovers!), lots of extra pillows on the beds, and plenty of nice clean white bath towels in all the bathrooms. The beach itself is gorgeous and so easy to walk. I understand now why they call it “Wild Dunes”, it’s breathtakingly pristine on this end of the island. The owner texted me a few days into our stay to be sure that everything was meeting our expectations, which I thought was so nice, and again before we left to let us know we could add a day to our stay if we wished. She was also quite flexible with our check in and check out times which we very much appreciated. Thank you, Julie, for a wonderful stay. I would definitely come back here again!

This beautiful condo with windows to view the beach for all directions was spot on amazing. We came seeking family time, rest, relaxation and life sat! The owners thought of all details and offered so many extras like a coffee bar, bath shampoo and soap, and even had a basket of cooking spices. The decor and amenities were spot on. We will be back!!!

I can say enough about how accommodating and thoughtful Julie was for our stay. Not too forget the location is prime for beach access and the pool. We were celebrating a milestone birthday for my wife and we sent her ahead of the family for a few quite days. The owner had flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for her. She enjoyed the views from the master bedroom and the early morning walks on the beach. The condo easily accommodated the rest of the family. We topped the week’s stay with a birthday celebration and night out. The condo was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay successful. What made it special was our gracious host and the location. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a great beachfront stay.

The condo is in Wild Dunes Resort which is a beautiful gated community. Beautifully decorated with a cozy beach house vibe. Comfortable furniture and beds. Well stocked kitchen. Amazing views from the balcony. The beach never disappoints. Everything you can possibly want is in close proximity. Even with the pandemic, we still managed to visit all the sights and enjoy all that Charleston has to offer. This vacation was exactly what our family needed. Julie is very accessible and a pleasure to work with.

Even though we only had 2 sunny days we thoroughly enjoyed our week. Condo was well equipped with pots pans and all utensils for meals. It also had several boogy boards, beach chairs for use and sand tools. Lastly it was very nice to have net flicks and other similar services available to watch movies. Did not expect those. Brought more than we needed to.

My family and I needed a place that was comfortable for a family with a small child. The accommodations were so welcoming that I would highly recommend this to someone looking for a place to stay. The view can't be beat.

Even though we were there during all the rains, we enjoyed our time. This condo was very comfortable and has a great view of the ocean. My only complaint is that we were not able to access the DVD player. We could not find any instructions. This would have been nice due to the fact we were pretty well stranded in the condo. However, other than that all went well. Will definitely consider this condo for next year.

Had a great time! The walk to the beach was so convenient. Beautiful views, great weather, and the little ones loved it. The place is very comfortable and well equipped for cooking and lazing around.. Sunsets and sunrise were gorgeous.

When you live in Charleston, it is hard to decide where to take a vacation. We find that the best thing for us is to take a ‘stay-cation.’ We love coming over and over to 401 Summerhouse. You are greeted with gorgeous ocean views the minute you open the door. This spacious condo offers 2 oceanfront bedrooms with private baths and a large 3rd bedroom with 2 double beds and can comfortably accommodate 4 adults and 4 children. There is plenty of room for each of us to have our own space and everything is high-end and well appointed. The balcony is spacious and the perfect place to relax with a book and enjoy the sea breeze. Very well stocked kitchen and more! Easy beach and pool access. Excellent location, both within the resort itself and still close to downtown Charleston.

I rented this unit with my husband, our 3 children, my cousin, her husband and their daughter. Each couple had their own beach front room and all 4 kids comfortably fit in the 2 full beds in the back bedroom. All 3 bedrooms had their own full bathroom which was a plus with that many people under one roof. The showers have good water pressure and drained great. The closets were a good size and we were able to unpack everything without having to live out of suitcases for the week. The furniture was up to date and comfortable. The eat in kitchen was a good size. Everything we needed for cooking and dining in was available in the cabinets and drawers. There is a good size pantry available inside the kitchen that is available so that you do not have all of your stuff all over the counters during your stay. We have rented other units in this building over the years and this unit did not feel like a "rental", it felt like being at home. We look forward to renting this unit in the future.

The Summer House was the best choice we have ever made for our summer vacation. My family and another family, who are friends of ours had a great time here! The two master suites both with views... Wow!! Plenty of room and very clean. Beach was not crazy crowded, easy to find a spot. The kids were never bored, there was plenty to do. And plenty of room inside for all 9 of us! The beds were extremely comfy, it truly was like being home. Also the area seafood is awesome! And reasonable! We will definitely try to get back to Summer House as soon as possible. So many things to do in the Charleston area, but we didn't get to experience Charleston.... We stayed on the beach the entire time!!
