We enjoyed our time here. We loved walking on the beach and looking for shells. House was set back from the beach slightly which gave a feeling of privacy while still having great views.

We visited the week of Thanksgiving so we had the perfect sweatshirt weather. The house was clean and spacious and the host couldn’t have been any nicer. Everything was better than we anticipated. The weather could have been a little nicer and the mosquitoes are no joke, but overall we had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed everything about this property! A great place to stay when your looking for a quiet beachfront property. And we had a delicious key lime pie waiting for us upon arrival! Make sure you hit Ann up to cook you some delicious dinners or desserts! Thank you so much! It was a great time!

The communication with the owner was so easy and she was so kind. The pie she bought for us was amazing, and thoughtful! The location was fabulous! There’s no close house on either side and a private walk over the dunes, straight to the sand! Will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing week at this gorgeous property!! The house was amazing in the perfect location. The property was so clean and spacious for our luggage. The beds were very comfortable! The air conditioning was amazing after a hot day on the beach and exploring. The drive into Galveston was so beautiful on the shoreline, took about 40 minutes to get to the pier. I loved the dune walk bridge to the beach, so many beautiful flowers and natural vegetation to enjoy! The patio shower was the perfect temperature. The top patio made ocean meditation so peaceful ♡ I loved this property!

The pictures didn't do this house justice. My family and i have stayed at several beach houses throughout the years and everyone loved the house and made several comments on how we should stay at this house again. It was very clean and open with a great view. The deck was amazing and the distance from the beach was great. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely stay again.

Just got home from spending the week here and I don't think I would have changed a single thing. We had 6 adults, 2 children and 1 teenager. The spacing within and closeness to the beach were perfect for all. Debbie and her aunt were gracious hosts, offering suggestions near by and the seemingly famous pie left for us was delicious. We even ordered and had one sent to family friends in Galveston. I wish we didn't already have plans for next summer, otherwise, I'd already be reserving. Gotta find a way to get back ASAP.

The area and home are lovely. Beaches had plenty of room for everyone and were clean. The home itself was spacious and comfortable. Minor maintenance issue with dish washer. The laundry machines worked great! Helpful notes from owners in many locations of the house gave us extra tidbits to make life easier. Quiet location, plenty to do in a short travel radius if you need a beach break or have poor weather. Delightful hosts. Would book again.

Stayed with a couple of buddies at this property for a week and I have nothing but good things to say. Clean, comfortable home in a great relaxing location. Debbie was marvelous to work with and even had her aunt bring us a marvelous apple pie. Highly recommended

Came down to the shore for Thanksgiving Really appreciated Ann next door who baked pies and catered our Thanksgiving feast. What a blessing that was!! Very comfortable beds, best view, and close to Houston. Would stay again.

We took my son and 4 friends down for a graduation weekend and the home was exactly as advertised. Great location right on the beach, big porch with a beautiful view, and body surfing and other equipment available.

We decided on this property for a family vacation with my parents, bother and his family. All in all 6 adults and 3 kids. The house got us perfectly. The rooms were all very comfortable and clean. Our room had a perfect view of the ocean. We usually look for a different home each time we come to the coast, but I think we will stay here again. We met the owners and they are fantastic. Super friendly experience. Anyone looking for a place right on/very close to the water will love this home. Thanks for making our Vacation one for the record books.

We LOVED staying at this beautiful home. The location was idyllic and did not disappoint. There was plenty of space in the home for our party of 12. It was private and the owners were amazing. They were friendly and happy to answer any questions. I plan to stay here again. Oh and that front porch and the view.....It was amazing.

Everything was absolutely perfect for a great beach getaway!

I don’t know what more I can say except that this is our forever yearly rental as long as we can rent it! We have been renting beach houses every summer in Surfside for over 20 years and this is the first house we have ever rented that is absolutely stunning and has a host that is out of this world. The kitchen is beyond a vacationer’s dream.. other houses we have rented had water damage, cracks in the walls/ceilings, tiny kitchens with no counter space and itty bitty fridges, and just didn’t have the pizazz this one has and if you do want a house like that, you’d have to pay an arm and a leg. Debbie, the host, is an absolute doll! She sent over a banana pudding that was to die for and made sure our stay was comfortable. We even saw her on the beach and she told us where to get extra chairs so our family can enjoy the view of the water on the sand. There is nothing bad I can say about this house and can’t wait to come back this year!

We rented this house for a quick weekend getaway. It was great! Very clean and had everything that we needed. Would definitely love to come back!

I took my elderly parents for a 4-day vacation to Surfside Beach and we stayed at The Coastal Chalet. Debbie is a great property manager and made sure we were very comfortable. The beach house is impeccably clean, beautiful, and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and kitchenware and great for entertaining. The view of the ocean, sunrises, sunsets, and moon was amazing! The deck is huge! This house is on a private street with private access to the beach. Take bug spray for mosquitoes. I almost didn’t want to write a rave review for fear of this rental getting more popular and it being more difficult to reserve! We are definitely returning!

We had such a great time celebrating our daughters 16th birthday at this house. We are already planning another vacation to stay there. Debbie was such a sweet property manager, she even sent us a banana pudding on the last day that was delicious!

The house was amazing and much bigger than expected the living room and kitchen was great for cooking and hanging out with family! Debbie was fantastic and on top of communication she even knew it was our granddaughters birthday party while we were there and sent over a banana pudding from her aunt Ann’s bakery and it was amazing! We have been vacationing in Surfside for a decade plus and this is by far the best house yet. The amenities they provide is above and beyond we definitely plan on making this our new yearly vacation house

My husband and I along with family members thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Surfside. The house was clean and very nice. We enjoyed the updated kitchen appliances, the beds were comfortable, and the privacy of the house and the small boardwalk to the beach. The sea air and sound of the waves was exactly what the doctor ordered!

Debbie, the host should teach classes in how to make guests feel extra special and welcomed. Definitely the best experience ever with a host and I use VRBO properties several times per year in various locations around the country. The home was well cleaned and had a very well appointed kitchen. The kitchen island accommodated all of our loads of food and equipment for the 2,4,6,8,and 10 year old kids and the 5 adults. Debbie helped us learn to stake out our beach area early on the weekend days when more people came to the beach. We had the beach with few other visitors on the weekdays! So nice to have the wood bridge walkway to the beach to keep the little ones safely out of the dunes! We took our bottled water and kept a thermos dispenser of ice water to the left of the sink. Having grown up with rural well water that didn’t taste good, it was a familiar drill. I’m willing to make that accommodation for the lovely nearly empty weekday beach!! Thanks for having beach chairs, boogie boards and a very nice grill available. The 4 big kids loved the cool loft and the 3 main floor bedrooms are at different corners of the house allowing different schedules to work nicely. We will be happy to return for another stay next year! Thanks for sharing your beautiful house and beach with us!!

This was our second year renting this house and we loved it again! Perfect home for our family beach vacation., great spot and we love the deck!

This home was fabulous and had plenty of space for three couples and 6 children! We all had plenty of room. The private wood path to the beach made access so easy carting beach gear and kids back and forth. The owners were very easy to communicate with and always available. We even had a delicious home made key lime pie waiting for us the day we arrived! The only thing I would stress is be sure to have bug spray! If the wind ever dies down the mosquitoes are absolutely horrible! They do take away from the absolutely wonderful deck space if the wind calms. Other than that it is a wonderful place and we will be back one day. Thanks so much to Ken and Debbie!!

This home was absolute perfection; well stocked kitchen, great open layout, comfortable beds, and a fantastic beachfront deck! We loved this place so much, that we hope to make it our annual family vacation spot. The owner was amazing to work with and communication was easy. I appreciate the info provided by the owner to help with packing! Bring plenty of drinking water due to the well water and some bug spray or a mosquito shield.

Debbie was absolutely wonderful to work with!! Very upfront and clear about home expectations which made it all fantastic. Great location and used some recommendations from the listing which was also wonderful! If we come back to this beach, it will for sure be this house, hands down!!
