Spacious with a casual yet tasteful elegance, this home had everything and more that our family was looking for. It is located in a perfect spot, right across the street from beach access. From the front door to the beach was a two minute walk. The downstairs room was great for my teenage son and the outdoor shower was awesome after a long day in the surf. Suzanne from Tide Life is our favorite person in the world when it comes to finding just what suits your needs. Dont pass up an opportunity to see this gorgeous home.

-MOST IMPORTANTLY...when we asked for a late check out so we could clean up after our final round of golf and before our flight back to Philly, they said "Sure! stay as long as you need", which in essence, allowed for an additional day/round.

Slowen Down is perfect for four men to stay for golf. Four bedrooms on the main floor (wouldn't use the downstairs fifth as a bedroom...maybe storage?)..Each two bedrooms share a bathroom. Great Wifi, big porch for morning coffee overlooking the beach and huge great room to watch football after golf. Everything you need from kitchen ware to a brand new outdoor shower (HUGE!!!) is there for you to use.

We ate at Chive Blossom, Frank's, Bistro 217 and Caffe Piccolo. All four a little different, but great food. (Probably liked the vibe at Chive Blossom the best, as well as the outdoor seating at Caffe. Frank's is a little too big and busy for a Slowen Down experience.)

Golf at True Blue, Caledonia, Heritage and Pawley's Plantation. Great weather and great golf at all four courses.



We're coming back next year to try to duplicate the wonderful experience, but this will be hard to top!!

Pawley's Island is a great spot. The home is well appointed although keep in mind that the owners apparently use the property often so they have many personal items and things around the home. While it is conveniently right across the street from the path that leads to the beach the location can be a bit noisy. Lots of cars and worker trucks esp. on Saturday. Sunday morning was much more quiet. Finally the lower level room with two twin beds and a semi-private bath might be perfect for two teenagers but no one in our family was up for the adventure of staying down there :-) The property rental company was great and quick to respond. We'd definitely come back to Pawley's Island!
