This is the most beautiful spot!! The views are so gorgeous, it’s hard to explain. The cabin is very clean and very comfortable. The river is right there, splashing and sparkling. I had the most restful, peaceful time there. I will be back!!

The house was very clean and comfortable. It was so beautiful there, sitting by the river and just enjoying some much needed relaxation. We met the owners very nice people. Looking forward to coming back sometime.

Absolutely breathtaking. Needed this quiet and gorgeous setting to get away from the busy hustle and bustle, and to create wonderful memories with loved ones. The pictures online do not even come close to showing the beauty and privacy of this haven. We will be back for sure. Thank you!!

This is for those looking for a cozy private getaway right on the river with rapids right below the property. Terrific views in all directions. Excellent restaurant nearby, in small quiet community . There is river rafting, hiking, biking and wandering. We enjoyed our stay.

We couldn't have been more happy with our accommodations! So many special touches makes it feel like you are an honored guest. The kitchen is tiny but fully stocked with everything you need. The dining room cabinet filled with glassware on top and puzzles and games below make you wish for a rainy day to spend inside! Loved the novels in the upstairs bedroom dide tables also! But the gorgeous views of mountains and river surrounding the canin call you outside to see if they are real! It was like staying in a beautiful painting!

This is one of our favorite places anywhere on earth. David’s gorgeous cabin is situated in perfect proximity to watch the river and mountain peaks, and to get to hikes nearby. Index town and nearby Friends of Heybrook Ridge trail also offer lovely walks/hikes. Cannot say enough good about this sacred spot.

We’ve stayed here many times and always love it. The sound of the river is so relaxing and peaceful. The cabin is quaint and comfortable. The owners maintain it well. It’s our favorite vacation spot!

The place was even better than the pictures! It was very clean and well appointed. You can tell the owners really care about the place. Was very tranquil, and I came back feeling refreshed.

As with our previous visits, this one too was wonderful, even with an injured ankle. David was very good about checking to see how we were doing after I took a fall and ended up at the closest ER. He even paid us a visit the next day to offer any needed help. Because our flight back home wasn't for three more days, I fixed me a place in a recliner in front of the big picture window with a view of the river and mountains. What a restful place to be! Now that we are home, I still wish for a recliner seat with a river mountain view, good for the body, good for the soul! We think we need to return after I heal for a make-up vacation!

Enjoyable quiet place to stay with all the needed amenities!

We've returned to the Cabin on the Sky each May for the past 3 years. I look forward all year just to have breakfast with that view of Mt Index!

Second visit after long drive from Oregon. Extreme beauty in every direction. Comfortable bed and cabin is well stocked. Helpful host and friendly walkable village.

This was an amazing little cabin! It was beautiful, clean and everything David the host said it was. We are planning another stay for sure, hopefully for a bit longer this time!!!

My husband and I fell in LOVE with this cabin! It is in the perfect place as you get to wake up to amazing views of the mountains/landscape and listen to the calming sounds of the river. The cabin was so cozy and relaxing to be in, we also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit in the back. David was an amazing host! Not only did he message us back quickly but he gave us a paper with information about the area which helped us a lot considering it was our first time visiting Washington. We had a wonderful time celebrating our honeymoon here and we cannot recommend this place enough. We hope to return soon!!

We absolutely loved the cabin on the sky! Gorgeous views and the sound of the river. A little piece of heaven. Owners are wonderful, all questions were promptly returned. We would definitely recommend this cabin. The beauty surrounding this cabin will take your breath away. Peace and joy!

Lucked out with a sunny weekend in March. Pictures don’t do it justice! The sound of the river, the stars, the nearby hikes exceeded all our expectations.

House was very clean. Great view from up stairs bedroom. Side room off of kitchen also a great view of the river and birds near the river. Watch rafters going by. outside area near fire pit was nice to sit, look at the mountains and watch the river.

Always so peaceful, watching the first light touch Mt Index is so beautiful! We grow more fond of the natural wood interior each time we stay! Thank you David and Lynn for making such a wonderful respite available. Otto and Meg

My wife and I have stayed at this cabin several times, and always enjoy it. Location can't be beat and David is a great owner to deal with.

The views are amazing and the cabin was so cozy. Probably the best place I have ever stayed on a vacation. Very peaceful and also close to a lot of really good hikes!

Our third stay at Cabin on the Sky. The location is magic right on the river. The cabin is wonderfully appointed with everything you need. So cozy, the bed upstairs is very comfortable. The hottub is clean and works perfect. We would have stayed longer if we could. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay the week before Christmas. Everything is as advertised on the listing, but the views are even more stunning in person! The location is perfect for hiking some of the trailheads nearby or taking a quick daytrip to Leavenworth. After each day of exploring the area, we looked forward to relaxing in the hot tub overlooking the river and moutains. You couldn't ask for a better view! David was so accomodating and welcoming, and his cabin has everything you need for a perfect getaway. Although it didn't impact our stay, be advised that cell service is very spotty in the area. There is wifi available that is good for browsing the internet or using a video streaming service. It's not terribly fast, but it gets the job done. There is a landline available for emergency use if needed, however. I highly recommend this cabin and would absolutely stay again in the future.

Perfect for single, couple or small family (if allowed) of 4. Right on River and MTN views were incredible. If staying in bring DVD’s since signal is poor with Verizon and satellite was not able to pick up signal, too. will stay again for sure

The cabin is well equipped, indoors and outdoors. It’s also very clean and comfortable. Plenty of clear instructions and games. Ice maker was a welcome surprise! We saw salmon spawning in the river!

Forget about the beautiful carpentry and the river rushing by outside for a minute. From a comfortable mattress to a kitchen stocked with all the dishes and wares you need, from big picture windows and clean and comfy everything - Cabin on the Sky has all that you need, even if solitude in nature isn’t your thing. Maybe you want to stream your favorite show or play around on the internet, or maybe you’re into puzzles and board games - all there. Like a dip in the hot tub - yep has it. The host even left us a couple of bikes in case we wanted to go for a ride it seems. LOL. We make this an annual visit since it’s very near many good hiking opportunities (and geocaches if you’re into that). Also very close to some book therapy at a quaint little place in Sultan called “Kiss the Sky Books.” Lots of foodie choices of you don’t want to bring your food to cook. The host is very clear with instructions on all the amenities and the expectations and is one of the best hosts we have encountered! Can’t recommend this place to anyone at all because we want to make sure it’s always available for us. ;)
