The bed was very comfortable (big, the mattress was not too soft/not too hard, there were two different pillows to choose from for each person) and the room was very clean. The host was very friendly and available. The host also bought us breakfast from a bakery one of the days that she left on our door handle. The location is very central but also close to the street where parking was available. A great place to have coffee/dinner/drinks called Skarpeta is a few minutes away on foot. The A/C in the room was very effective and quiet.

The room has a relatively low ceiling and no sound isolation, as well as no view. You can hear everything from the street, cars going by, people talking, the door of the room leads directly to the street and has no soundproofing. Additionally planned work from the town was taking place outside our window for half of our stay, with really loud construction vehicles (some with sprockets!) that were excavating. We were not informed prior to arrival, and we weren't offered a discount for the days the construction went on, even after we complained to the host. We had to sleep with earplugs all night, which didn't drown the construction noise which woke us up in the morning. The cleaner came only once more during our 4-day stay and not every day. The bathroom was tiny and the shower uncomfortably small. Also, the fan of the bathroom which doesn't have any windows leads directly to the bedroom, but thankfully we didn't get any smell. We had family staying in another place 1 minute (80m) away from us also in the old Nafplio town, in a place with full soundproofing, bigger than ours, with a couch inside as well, with a balcony, with the cleaner coming every day and they paid 30 euros less per night compared to us!

Location is awesome--walking distance to everything. Katerina was very responsive and helpful. Loved the historic nature of the apartment.

Super clean, well located and very accomodating hosts. A short walk from the main square which was perfect as it avoids the foot traffic and noise on the outside if you choose to chill in the room for a bit.

The location on the edge of the old city is all you could ask for. Anything else is icing on the cake. Exploring the old city on foot is amazing, and every part is just 1-5 minutes away. The hike up Palamidi Fortress is just around the corner. Free parking is available if you have good timing or search around just a little bit. Having a washing machine was nice, and it's generally arid in Greece, so everything dried quickly on the drying racks or hung out on the racks outside the window. Oh, and have a read about Mando Mavrogenous, a Greek heroine who lived here for a bit.

The bathroom was pretty cramped, as is the kitchen area. However, considering the neighborhood, this is likely standard for an apartment. It's not super private as people can hear you on the street.

Katerina could not have been more hospitable. left us bakery good in the morning. lovely apartment in perfect location. also arranged parking.

A historical building right at the heart of the Old Town. We could walk anywhere.

Given that it was a historical building there was no sound proofing at all which was OK though as it is a quiet neighbourhood.

The room was very well equipped (there was even a washing machine! and the kitchen had everything needed) and very clean, great location, great host

Brilliant location, in the old Town, so convenient and one can walk right into the wonderful cobbled streets. Katerina is a brilliant host, very friendly, excellent communication and generous. Apartments are spotless and comfy with a wonderful history.

If you are a light sleeper, I advise booking one of the apartments on top, as its wooden floor boards and you can hear the people on top. Having said that we booked 2 apartments next to each other and the one in the middle was abs fine. If you are a large grp of people then it's no problem as you can just book all of the apartments out. All in all it was fantastic

We visited Maurgenous luxury Apartments on 24th and 25th of February 2023. Pros 1)Location. It is in the centre of the old town so we did not need a car. 2)Beds. The beds were comfortable.

Cons 1)Dark Room. Even during the day it was impossible to see without turning on the lights. 2) Noise. There are other apartments next to it so the noise was unbearable. For instance, babies were crying and their mother was yelling at them to stop. The apartment is located in the centre of Nafplio, old town. As a result, we were hearing the mobile phones ringing from the street and sometimes even their discussion. 3)No maintenance. The apartment is not well maintained. For instance, the wallpapers have become loose, the liquid soap applicator and the hinges are rusty. 4)Small bathroom. Even though I saw the photos provided by the owner, the bathroom was too small. It had a curtain but still it was difficult to have a shower without splitting the water outside the shower bath. 5) Overpriced/Expensive. Paying more than 100€/night for an apartment that was difficult to sleep before 23:00. During our stay we had an unpleasant experience. The iron surface was dirty and my shirt was destroyed. I immediately called the owner to inform her about the incident but she claimed that it was not her fault. I thought that it was the owner's obligation to check that everything is clean and well maintained. However, the owner was blaming the previous tenant. She proposed to take my shirt to the dry cleaner but she could not guarantee that I would have had it back on Sunday. She also clarified that the stain may remain because she is not sure about the cleaning products of the dry cleaner. Based on her comments, I did not have any option so I denied her proposal. She also took back the dirty iron and gave me a new one. The owner never apologised for the dirty iron and insisted that it was not her fault... Update Once again the owner did not admit her fault and her comment implied that I destroyed my shirt. I have uploaded the photos from the dirty surface of the iron and the stain.... It would have been better to admit our mistakes rather than blaming others...

Hostess Katerina is just amazing!

The apartment was extremely well equipped and in a fantastic location. The apartment is beautifully renovated. Our host Katerina was very helpful with information on the area. She thoughtfully left us some bakery goods on our last day.

The sofa bed was squeaky but this was minor, as everything else was great.

The house was very comfortable and warm . We had a really great experience and the location was really good because everything basically was only a some metres away from us ( the house ). So I definitely recommend it . The stuff was warm and comfy towards us and we had a really good welcoming .🤗🤗

To be honest I don't think that I found something that we didn't like . The only thing that I've to say it's general . When you want to rent a house, book it a month at least earlier. So I'll come to you cheaper if you have any economic problem ☺️👍 But still definitely recommend the house and the location that it's 👍👍
