Beautiful big house with lots of great seating and rooms for our big family of 8. The kitchen was amazing! Would strongly recommend.

We stayed at Holua Makai for 5 nights with my two adult children, their spouses and 9 month old grandson. Everyone had their own room and bathroom, which made our stay super convenient. We were also able to walk over to SeaQuest to do the night Manta Ray dive. The Keauhou location is one that we would definitely recommend. The only issue we had was that the house wasn't as clean as we would have liked. The geckos in the house were great, but their droppings were not cleaned from the baseboards or walls before our arrival. Also, the floors didn't seem to have been cleaned. Air conditioning, at least in the bedrooms, would be a great addition. There were no tradewinds during our stay, so the house was pretty hot. On the positive side, communication provided by Kona Coast Vacation Rentals was outstanding. There was a constant flow of email communication prior to our stay and they even called us once we got checked in to make sure everything was okay.

This home was HUGE! It was so spacious with lots of seating, and areas for everyone to enjoy time together and time alone. The house was very, very clean and equally well-equipped. If you like to cook, the kitchen is stocked with high-quality dishes and cooking utensils - not the typical dollar store stuff you see in other places. We really enjoyed this home. We cooked in it every day, bbq'd, did our laundry (which was really nice in humid beachy environment) and loved that the rooms, except for one, had en suite bathrooms and personal space. We would definitley return to this home in the future.

Just wonderful. Lots of room for each of us so we weren’t on top of each other. Short walk to the ocean. Another short walk to a resort that had an open air market one day. If I had done my homework I would have done my boat trips from Heeia Bay and just walked there. I did NOT have any problems. I mentioned some damage by the previous tenant. They sent over a repair person and these items were fixed IMMEDIATELY. This assured me IF I had a problem it would be resolved. This is NOT a party house. You must be respectful to the neighbors and the neighborhood. But no more that you would be in a quiet neighborhood at home.

Large house, comfortable for our family of eight. Well equipped. Loud construction noise in lot behind our house during day but could not be helped. One refrigerator was not working during our stay but had plenty of room in first fridge. Our grandkids loved the wild turkeys! A very nice house to stay with family!

the house made the family trip to Hawaii amazing. We had enough room for 8 adults (4 adult children) to enjoy the stay and the double kitchen as perfect for the couple large meals we made. It was a great location to get away from the downtown crowds and just a short drive to get there. Walking distance to the beach and manta ray tours was a plus. Management was very responsive when needed

We loved the features of the home, especially that it is a well stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and they have a well stocked beach toy area. The washer and dryer was a big plus too. Location is right near Keauhou Bay which is where a lot of snorkeling tours leave from and it also a nice place to snorkel. Communication was prompt with Kona Coast. We had some issues with the ice machines and they sent out staff right away. I am still giving the experience 5 stars overall but it is worth communicating that their checkout requirements are conflicting an egregious for how much you pay. It’s 550 for cleaning, yet you have to clean towels in order to avoid an excessive cleaning charge, take out the trash from the house, make sure all the furniture is exactly where you left it, empty the fridge and pantry, clean the grill, and close all the windows and doors before leaving. I wrote Kona letting them know my feedback on it and all they said was that they would look into and update their checkout booklet at the house.

This place already looks big in pictures but you don't truly appreciate the size of it until you are there. With 8 travelers one of our main concerns were having enough space and bathrooms for everyone. This house has 4 bathrooms, 3 of which are ensuite with the rooms and 1 was in the main area. This was great for not having to wait for showers, etc. and saved us a lot of time. Its location is about 15-20 mins south of Kona proper but only a few mins drive to some other points of interest like Da Poke Shack (7 mins) and Kahalu'u Beach (7 mins). It was close enough to the local plaza/marketplace that anything we needed quickly was only a short drive away. We found this was a great compromise to have a larger unit while still being close enough to Kona, a hard balance to keep when finding places here! The house itself was well equipped with everything you would need, washer/dryer, dishwashers, and we even found a beach tent that was very useful for our week stay!

The house was gorgeous! We had 4 couples in our group. There was plenty of room to have our space, but our favorite place to get together was in the front room with all of the windows! We cooked breakfast in the amazing kitchen every morning. The turkeys in the neighborhood made us laugh so much throughout the week. The house was a short drive to shopping and beaches. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Overall, our experience was very good. The house is beautiful and furnished with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The only two things that I would point out is that the house cleaning prior to our arrival could have been a bit better, especially in the main floor large bedroom bath. Garbage was left in the bins at the driveway from the previous renters and it smelled pretty bad when we arrived and pulled into the driveway. Otherwise, it was truly a nice and enjoyable stay. The most important thing for me always is customer service, and I would like to note that your staff wad always prompt, helpful, courteous and efficient in addressing any questions or requests we had. David was exceptionally helpful in answering questions regarding activities and to help us book excursions. Finally, our flight to the mainland is scheduled for 1055pm, so I sincerely appreciate your accommodation of my late checkout request. Next time we visit Hawaii will definitely be with your company.

Our stay was perfect. The home is luxurious with abundant comfort, stylish, clean and close to two of the best areas to snorkel. We were pleased with the how well stocked the kitchen was for meal preparation. Staying here made our trip to the Big Island perfect. Thank you for opening your fabulous home to us.

We stayed here for a week with 3 adults and 4 kids. Everybody had their own bed which was wonderful, and there was plenty of space to spread out. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking meals. The kids had a blast counting all the lizards outside (and a few brave ones inside- it's Hawaii after all) and watching the resident wild turkey who visited daily.

We loved our stay in beautiful Keauhou.. This house has everything you need for a multi family stay. Very close to Keauhou Bay and a short drive to the downtown Kona shopping area. Highly recommended!

This house was the perfect place for our family to make vacation memories. The location was nice, it’s pretty close to shopping and beaches. The layout of the house was nice. The wild turkeys on the street were a hit with the kids. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to the big island!

Enjoyed this property very much

This home was a excellent fit for our family of 8. There was ample room to spread out when we needed to but also room to be together. We cooked a whole turkey dinner in the very well equipped kitchen and all sat at the large table. We would definitely rent this property again. A perfect house for a perfect vacation!

We had 3 couples and infant children. Home was perfect for separation and allowing all of us our own space. Large kitchen space was nice, several sitting rooms & private baths. Took a day or 2 to get used to the lack of air conditioning, but the island breeze is nice and we knew this coming in. The home could use a good update in bathrooms and the ceiling fans need to be cleaned. When we turned them on, chunks of dust flew everywhere and the blades were REALLY dirty. The islands always have geckos and bugs, but the ants got to us and we had to buy ant spray. The location is wonderful and very close to everything. I would recommend this home and would choose it to stay again in the future. Thank you!

We absolutely loved this home! It’s beautiful, comfortable, and overall, homey. My family already said we are DEFINITELY staying at this house in the future. From check in, to check out, everything was amazing! There was so much room for everyone to go off and do their own thing but great for gathering together to talk about the day. The ONLY thing we did not like was that the master suit feels disconnected from everything else. It’s only because in order to get to the room, you have to exit the house, go up the stairs outside to unlock it and go in from the lanai. However, other than that, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Thank you so much for letting us stay in this beautiful home. We will definitely be back!!

We loved our time here in Kona! The home is about a 15 minute drive to restaurants and shopping. Dave the concierge was extremely helpful and if you are looking for adventures there are plenty of things to do. We highly recommend the manta ray night snorkel and the dock is only a 5 minute walk from the house. The house is large and fully stocked with everything you will need.
