It was nice to get away from the crowd & traffic & spend time with family, exploring nature. We love the wrap around porch & hot tub. The kitchen is generously stocked. The only small issues is a few deck boards need repaired & one of the basement bed mattresses could use maybe something to refresh its comfort level.

We booked Whiskey Creek for 8 of us to explore Hocking Hills for the weekend. This home is absolutely gorgeous and our host thought of everything! Plenty of amenities, games, and places on site to find peace and quiet or get everyone playing a game together. We just loved it.

The place was perfect for our family getaway! Equipped far better than I expected in the kitchen! The grandkids loved the creek!

House was very convenient location to hiking paths, general stores etc. Kitchen stocked with all the essentials for cooking n serving meals. Plenty of towels etc. We all enjoyed the views and spent time sitting out on the decks. Our family would definitely book again.

We stayed at Whiskey Creek with 2 families and had a wonderful visit! Place was well maintained and had plenty to do for all ages (6 kids ages 6 years old to 15). Kids enjoyed playing in the creek, hot tub, bocce soccer, making fires in the fire pit, and short drives to great hikes!

The property was excellent. All of our activities were close. We were in a private location and the teens enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. No WiFi is what we needed. This will not be our last time coming. I plan on bring my family there as well for a family trip. Outstanding Log Cabin

Secluded yet still close to all of the trails, enjoyed family time. Didn’t even notice the lack of Wi-Fi, kids got a kick answering the “ old” phone. Would return again!

The House was secluded at the end of the road. Absolutely perfect, peaceful, and clean! I’ve stayed at multiple homes in hocking hills, and this WAS the BEST I’ve seen! I’ll be back for sure! Thank you

We came to Whiskey Creek with our friends and in total we had six children, ages 3 to10. The cabin and property was PERFECT! The cabin was stocked well with the essentials (bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, etc.) and the property was fantastic. Tucked back away off of highway 180 and private. The biggest highlight of the trip may have been the creek. Our kids barely wanted to go to the state parks because they wanted to just hang out at the creek, build dams and look for crawdads! It was the best weekend getaway. Thank you!!!

This was our 3rd stay at this cabin with our 3 families. The cabin, location and amenities are perfect. However, lesson learned. TAKE PICTURES upon arrival, make phone calls immediately rather than waiting till checkout.. We were accused of some things that were simply unfair. Said we didn’t clean dishes (crockpot) that we didn’t use; said dishes in the cabinet was not cleaned (we brought disposable everything and only used a couple items that weekend); the fireplace stopped working while we were there but it was warm and didn’t mind, but told them after checkout rather while there (didn’t feel the need to have maintenance on something while we were there if it wasn’t needed); said towels smelled damp (the load I started as we left were in the dryer, but I wasn’t there to start them the second time in the dryer as I did on other loads while there) said the foosball table had a trim piece was broken (after investigating when my husband used it the first game the piece fell off. Apparently it wasn’t attached fully but “placed” from previous guest). We ended up paying four hundred dollars after checkout for that piece, extra cleaning (all beds were used and towels-apparently that was an issue for our group size). However, One of the jets in the hot tub was broken, which I completely agreed paying for that. It was used nonstop while there. We have a hot tub and we’ve had to replace ours once as well. That happens. However it was an issue that they had to drain the hot tub to clean it. There’s a nice beach/creek there. The kids went from the creek to the hot tub, so I’m sure it was very dirty. Although I would think draining after each guest is normal cleaning. I still recommend the property. Booking was very easy with Kate. I would just quickly make calls about any issue you have rather than waiting for departure so that you are not blamed, whether it’s as simple as a dirty tub or as big as the gas fireplace not lighting. The gentleman you speak to after checkout is not as kind. Unfortunately there is no debating or questioning the issues after checkout. Sadly there will mot be a 4th stay for us as we had already planned to book.

The experience was good. I’m sure we would’ve enjoyed more in the warmer months.

Several amazing friends that started their friendship at Five Points Elementary in Springboro for a much needed weekend away! Your cabin was our favorite! We walked the trails to the beautiful creek! We discussed visiting again right after school is out in May!

Beautiful cabin. The owners thought of everything those staying at the cabin could need. We were impressed they even had toys and games for kids. We stayed here with friends and kids in age range from 2-12. There was something to do for everyone. We even liked not having wifi and disconnecting for the weekend. It gave us much more of a chance to catch up with friends, play with the kids, and for the kids to use their imaginations!!

Every year our family gets together for a few days over new years. This property was perfect nestled in the woods. The family room was big enough for games, etc. The kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms were stocked with toilet paper, towels, soap. Very clean and if we were loud upstairs, others could just hang out downstairs! The bathroom on the first floor was very spacious.

This isn't our first time visiting Whiskey Creek and as always, it was amazing! Our family of 5 enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving weekend of playing games, watching movies and having fun. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Very well appointed home with lots of things to do. Surfing your phone is not one of them as no cell or wifi. But it forces you to detach. Owners were wonderful to work with. Cookware was a bit worn but still a 5 star stay.

We spent our time with just the girls at whiskey creek. Our cousin had her wedding at a nearby cabin so we sent most of our time over there but the whiskey creek cabin was beautiful. Very clean, beautiful scenery and nice walking paths. We did not utilize the hot tub but it was a nice amenity to have, if we would have spent more time there. It’s secluded enough to make you feel like you are off of the grid buts it’s not far from route 180 at all. The rock house is very close by for hiking and old man’s cave is also a short drive. The fireplace was not working for more than 5 minutes, the direct tv would not work at all and the dvd player remote control would not work on the main level but we didn’t mind because we really only wanted to watch a scary movie late at night. We did not try to contact the owners because of course we had no WiFi or phone service and it really wasn’t a big issue for us. It would have been nice to warm up by the fireplace though. Everything else was perfect. I would go back.

So the cabin was immaculate. Everything you could need in the kitchen and bathrooms and the fire pit outside was so comfy with the built in wooden benches. The bedrooms were good size with comfy beds. The ac/heat worked great and there was plenty of spots outside to enjoy a cup of coffee or a soak in the hot tub. My family had a wonderful time. And it was super close to all of the tourist attractions. The *only* advice I would give to the cabin owners would be to update the movies/games and cable. Since there was no wifi, we relied on the amenities within the cabin. The cable channels were very sparse and the available dvd's were mostly scratched and unplayable. Same with the Wii console in the basement. Only one game out of the dozen provided actually worked. Would have loved to see a few more activities available on premise. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

No wifi which they advertise. Buy you get no phone data either. Hot tub and privacy is nice. Tv didn't work. It kept saying need pass code didn't supply how to use it or code. Rain 2 days would if been nice. Also stripping beds and towels when pay a cleaning fee was a first in the vrbo we've rented. The place was beautiful.

Every year a bunch of girls get together for a relaxing, enjoyable weekend without the kids and men. We try a different cabin every year. This year Whiskey creek was our choice, the cabin was clean, beautiful, secluded and easy to find. While there was no wifi, it was also nice to disconnect from the outside world for a while. Only down fall was, when wanting to order pizza or take-out from a restaurant, we had no wifi to search phone numbers or menus. Other than that, it didn't bother us one bit. The 2 dollar clue in the cabins book was a fantastic game. The mattresses could definitely be updated, a few girls ended up sleeping on the couch bc the beds were not comfortable for a 2nd night's sleep. Overall the cabin was wonderful and we definitely enjoyed ourselves.

Gorgeous cabin with everything you would need for a perfect vacation. Very clean, plenty of towels, etc. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds. Swing set for the little ones and hot tub for the big ones . loved this place !

We were so pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and beauty of this cabin. It was everything we had hoped and more! The little added amenities were greatly appreciated. We loved the fully equipped kitchen and prepared our meals easily. It did take a bit to get used to no WiFi lol but we knew that before coming. Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We hope to return next year.

We absolutely loved this house and the property. Only minutes away from hiking trails, yet feeling of secluded. The kids had a blast playing in the creek and on the sandy beach. The short trail to the creek was really nicely kept up. It took awhile to get used to no phone or wifi, but actually was a blessing. The property owner and care taker were extremely friendly and helpful, when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house! Lol. Will definitely stay here again if available when we are back at hocking hills.

This cabin was beautiful!!! A quiet weekend with the Bachelorette party in rustic setting was the perfect getaway. I highly recommend this location, we will be back!!

Perfect setting for our annual get away! Accommodations were perfect and the charming home contributed to one of our best!

So perfect for our group size. All the amenities. Only thing I did not find was a can opener, otherwise, I had all i needed to live there. Very clean, spacious, great location right next to a creek. Just cannot say enough good about it. Might want to check into the water dripping into the downstairs basement bathroom. Our men folk thought it was from the refrigerator since there was water behind the fridge on the floor and that was just above the bathroom.
