The place was cute. We loved that they provided us with snacks and good information on things to do. However, we realized it was an odd location to go and do things. The beach across the street isn’t nice. There were ants throughout the kitchen. We could not keep the place cool enough. Things were sort of cluttered and on weird spots. But, the spot worked for us to sleep at.

Very cute cottage, beautiful view and very nice setup. Stayed here for our 18th wedding anniversary and was Nice to be on quieter side of the island and enjoy alittle more privacy. Only 30 minute, or so ,drive to great south shore beaches and 45-60 to west shore hot spots. Closer to drive the road to Hana, and Mt Haleakala thanj staying the the resorty area. Host live right behind cottage and we're helpful if we needed anything. Cottage well stocked with many small items sometimes needed( toothpaste, baggies, coolers etc) Also small welcome package with some different Maui snacks was a nice touch. Also was nice that Hosts also have a car for rent and could make renting car a a place to stay an easy and smooth process.

Falling asleep and waking up each day to the sight and sound of the ocean is one of the highlights of this property. Nicely set up and located, we’d come back again!

The owners are incredible at communicating with you and accommodating any of your needs throughout the reservation process and during your stay. They are so very kind and really want their guests to have a great time. We loved the view, quiet house, and air conditioning for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Located by a beach for surfing we had wonderful views of the water and and area for nice walks! The house is comfortable and well equipped. We could watch the ocean from the kitchen table while eating breakfast. Gail and Jordan were exceptional hosts and had us follow them to Iao Valley State Park for a guided tour! They are so knowledgeable and great advocates for the island! We got to know the local side of Maui whcih we missed when. we went to a resort to end our vacation. Word of caution for beaches--Makena Beach is so very beautiful...but the waves can get unexpectedly rough. This had nothing to do with how wonderful our VRBO rental was.

This was the perfect little local home to spend some much needed quiet time! Wonderful view of the beach from right inside, and wonderful yard with beautiful conconut trees with singing birds. Very centrally located and easy to get to a lot of different places in under 30 minutes! My hosts were wonderful and provided more than I could have ever hoped for. Hope to return again soon!

The location was ideal for setting out on our daily adventures: whale watching from Maalaea and a sunset sail from Lahaina and snorkeling from Wailea. Gail and Jordan were great hosts. They provided for all our needs with timely emails on what to expect before arrival, a well stocked refrigerator and quick responses when we had questions. Loved the guitar sitting in the living room. Perfect four days!

They've thought of everything you might need. The cottage is light and airy with a deck where you can watch the crashing waves while you eat or relax. The property is private with a well maintained yard. We loved being in a quiet neighborhood across from a beach that locals use for surfing and fishing. You have all the amenities you need close by and it doesn't take long to get to the other side to snorkel and swim. We are thankful we had the wonderful waves to watch instead of looking into someone else's condo. This place is a gem!

Outstanding property and even better landlords!!

Wonderful view from the living room and back porch. Kids loved running around outside in the gated and protected grounds chasing chickens and catching lizards. The hosts provided the kitchen with what we needed for breakfasts and drinks to get our vacation started. We didn’t need to do a grocery run right away which was refreshing. The beach is across the street. Great for kids to play in the sand and we had our coffee and drinks. We felt safe and the place was clean. We are glad we stayed here even driving to Lahaina and Kihei throughout the trip. Hosts were kind and always available for anything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay in the quiet neighborhood. The beach was right across the street and one could see the sunrises from the porch. The house was clean and well stocked. We used the beach chairs everyday. Gail even let us use her card for a discount on groceries. She was a wonderful host.

We loved this cottage. We stayed in a high rise condo for 4 nights in Kaanapali then this cottage for 4 nights, we much preferred the cottage! Why?: no elevator, park right outside house, cute Hawaiian decor, private, complete kitchen, sounds of waves, tones of extras,etc! Hosts were incredible! Comfy bed & furniture! Hosts included: all kitchen items you could need , breakfast items, Hawaiian chocolates, beach gear including a surfboard, booklet re activities & restaurants, rented us a Honda CRV at discounted rate, a guitar (even bought new strings just for me)! If you want a pool with waterfalls, a bar/ restaurant & pay $$$ go somewhere else. If you want a nice place that is centrally located that is owned & managed by delightful locals stay at this cottage!

We just wrapped up our first visit to Maui and loved this home. It is exactly as advertised in a quiet neighborhood. We spent so much time on the deck, enjoying the sun and the sound of waves rolling in. We never used the A/C, rather had all the windows open and enjoyed the breeze and sounds. We took advantage of the well stocked kitchen and ate many meals on the deck. All you need for day tripping is available from coolers to beach chairs. Bathroom includes all the amenities required, nice fluffy towels but pay attention to the sign about how hot the water gets. Great communication with hosts and appreciated the late checkout, as well as the car rental. We fell in love with Maui and would come back to this home over and over. First off, I would love to thank Gail for all her help. In this time of uncertainty and ever changing restrictions, Gail stayed on top of everything and relayed the information promptly when things changed. Also, when ever I had a question about things I was interested in doing or going to visit, she would respond within 12 hours after sending my emails with numerous questions. My husband and I loved the property and the location of the property. Waking up every morning the crashing of waves on the beach across the street, the sea breeze of the trade winds, and the warm glow of the perfect tropical sunrise, this was the perfect way to wake up. The house is located in a nice neighborhood around the Maui locals away from the traffic and hustle of the more tourist central towns; however it was a quick and easy drive to get to all the popular destinations on Maui. The house had all the needed materials along with boogie boards and chairs! Also, Gail provided other goodies. My husband and I really enjoyed taking short strolls den the beach in the mornings or evenings after our day’s adventures. It was nice to take walks on a beach that was neither packed nor busy with tourists. If you do chose to stay at this homie cottage, try to explore some of the local locations. The stores were nice and the restaurants may not have the number reviews as many of the famous places on Maui, but the food actually tasted better and you were around more locals, which enhances the Maui experience.

This cottage is in a residential neighborhood and right across the street from the beach. Gail and Jordan, the owners are very communicative and helpful. The cottage itself is peaceful, well appointed and the listing is accurate. This is a great place to stay if you’re into surfing or wind sports and want to be off the beaten path of the main tourist areas. Recommended!

Perfect location right across the street from the beach in a residential neighborhood. The street dead ends at a golf course and primarily locals frequent the beach. Owners live directly behind the property and were super hosts. Best place to stay on Maui if you don’t want to be in the main tourist areas.

We flew over from Oahu to spend time with our new Godson. The property was walking distance to our Ohana and had EVERYTHING you could possibly need on your visit from reusable bags to winter jackets for Haleakala. The hosts were amazing. We will absolutely be back again.

This place is amazing!! Jordan and Gail are very kind and try to help anything. They are very warm people. The place is clean, and very cozy and very convenient as everything you need. Also you can see surfers on the balcony every morning:) My next trip to Hawaii will stay here.

Our hosts greeted us with a warm Hawai’i Aloha! Upon entering the beach bungalow we were welcomed with smooth Hawaiian slack guitar music, beautiful fresh bananas and pineapple. The sound and sights of the beach are directly across the street from the bungalow. Our hosts have organized a bundle of suggestions for hikes, restaurants and Maui attractions! We enjoyed our stay...Mahalo!

The location was great! Centrally located and across the street from the beach. Loved being able to sit on the porch and eat breakfast watching the waves roll in. The weather was beautiful, so we were able to leave the windows open and fall asleep to the sounds of the surf. Such a treat! The home is very privately located, clean, and had everything we needed to make our stay feel like home. Our hosts were very accommodating and easy to work with. (What a fun group to hang out with during the Super Bowl) They made us feel like we were staying with friends. I would come back in a heartbeat and recommend this home to anyone heading to Maui. I can’t thank our hosts enough for having the smallest details covered and being so generous with their time and home. Don’t look any further, this is a true gem. Book it!

We spent five days at this property and cannot say enough good about it. The cottage is absolutely perfect, the location is beachfront so that from the deck we were able to watch the waves, the surfers and the whales. Gail and Jordan are wonderful hosts and were available for any questions that we had. The freezer was stocked with bagels and there were cold drinks waiting in the refrigerator for us when we arrived. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower and laundry detergent in the laundry room. This is truly the nicest rental property that I have ever stayed in, for many reasons. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is considering it.
