Lovely apartment in a very good position

Oil leaking from room in carpark had to degrease window screen each time used car lots of oil on floor also

The apartment was wonderfully light and bright, both in the lounge and bedrooms. it had the benefit of 2 bathrooms, one with a bath (no shower), the other, as an en-suite with a shower. it was well equipped with kitchen items. it had a full hob and oven, microwave and full size fridge and freezer. The view was of the harbour estuary and town bridge. Access was relatively straightforward, and free parking below the building. The situation was exceptionally close to wonderful Harbourside facilities of great eateries and drinking establishments, and we endanger evening walk along the quay to he beach, 2 minutes away. The shops were also 2 minutes away, with Tescos express 3 minutes away! My husband and I had to work a couple of days while we were away, and we managed to turn the entrance table in to a work area, and were able to put a laptop on that and another on the dining table. The Wi-Fi was powerful and sufficient for all gadgets and 2 sets of teams meetings taking place at the same time.

The plus of being right in the heart of the Harbourside location came with its disadvantages. We visited out of season, and still found the noise could be rather intrusive. The night club/bar Rendezvous was directly opposite the lounge windows, and you could look into their windows, the base beat travels from this music, and drunken revellers can be heard in the later hours. The biggest irritation was the noise from Prezzo, located directly underneath the apartment. Noise from voices are not an issue, the sound which travels was the scrap of chairs and tables which begins when they open till they close at night. If you are not looking for peace and quiet, then the pluses do outweigh the minuses due to the location. It just depends on what is important to you in your time away. The welcome pack tells you that it is a cottage, and instructions in a lounge sideboard, and that there is a dishwasher… it is obviously not a cottage, there was no sideboard, and no dishwasher we could find, despite the 2 complementary dishwasher tablets left. This was just amusing not off putting. there is one corner sofa, but only one other tub chair in the lounge. If you need more supportive seating, this may be a disadvantage. There are no towel rails, toilet roll holders or wardrobes, there are a couple of hooks on the back of a door, and coat hangers provided on coat hooks in each bedroom, so if you take clothes to hang, you may be frustrated. This flat is on the first floor, therefore traffic can be intrusive and highly visible, and if standing on the tiny balcony, you can look passers by in the eye. We did notice a leak in one of the corner windows which we will report to the management. There were faint bleach stains on the carpets, but they really didn’t matter. We would consider these apartments again, but not on the first floor, we would want to be further from the disruptive noise.

1. Please include details about the key safe to the garage up front - this was the first thing we needed to know, but had to read through to find it. Otherwise, having a secure place to park was a bonus. 2. The apartment was spacious & comfortable. 3. Having a Prezzos below & fish n'chips across the road, was ideal.

Two of the chairs on the balcony are in need of repair. There were a lot of dish washer tabs, but no dishwasher! Towel rails are needed in the bathrooms. Hooks on the back of doors could be better placed (see bedroom two back of door ...) More tea spoons needed!

Location was perfect good outlook

Toilet roll holder's & towel rails would have been handy .
