We loved our 2 week stay:) Our 3 families had a wonderful time, plenty of room for us all:)! So close to beach and a lovely bonus having pool on those couple of windy days. Cooked many meals with well stocked kitchen and BBQ’s. Thank you Lance for sharing your home with ours:)!

Awesome option for body surfing and a baby friendly beach with playground, all within walking distance of this huge property. Our family loved having common space to hang out and enjoy meals in. Would love to come back year after year--thanks for having us!

This was definitely home away from home. You cannot beat the location. We did not want to leave. The house had everything you needed and was so comfortable and clean. We toured the entire island and all were in agreement that we could not have found a better location. The beaches were breathtaking. One evening we got to see 100 sea turtles. We have traveled around the world and this was the place that we said we have to return to. If you can rent this piece of paradise for your family you will absolutely not regret it. We will be back!

Close to the beach, very comfortable

We had a pre-wedding get together at the property. There is plenty of beautiful outdoor space making it a very nice and relaxing event. The property is very nice, clean and a great location to the beach and getting to see the turtles was a huge plus. Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful place.

The location was amazing. We were only a few houses from the beach and I walked every morning on a near by path watching the turtles and some dolphin sightings. My parents came with me and the setup of the home was perfect for that. I stayed on one side with my husband and kids and my parents stayed on the other side. It allowed time for us all to get a break and have some quiet time away from everyone. The house had all the essentials including snorkel and beach equipment. We thought we’d use the pool more, but we didn’t because the kids loved the ocean. The pool was clean and really nice though. If we needed anything we got a response quickly. We look forward to coming back again and really built some great memories. I’d highly recommend the home and location.

We had a great time staying in the cottages. The beach was just a short walk and the family enjoyed ending each day with a walk down to see the turtles. Having the semi-private pool for the kids when they were not feeling up to a crowded beach was a life saver too. The place is well-stocked for a family and we had a blast.

It was perfect! Great location! Walking distance to beach, restaurant, shopping and it had everything we needed! Snorkles, beach chairs, towels & umbrella for beach etc! The Poipu -turtle bay- we saw so many turtles everyday! Then when we needed a break from beach we all gathered at the pool! It was amazing!

This property is the best place we have stayed, ever. This is the 2nd time we stayed here. Walking distance (down the cul de sac) to the park and beach. Boogie board to the left with waves, baby beach in the center (protected, shallow, no waves), snorkel area to the right with fish and turtles swimming, and surfing waves to the right further. The pool is perfect, cannot even see it from the small road in front. Heaven on earth, for a large group (10-15), like ours.

I have a major issue with this property and the owner! On our second day at the property my young children were leaning on the deck railing looking at a gecko. The railing collapsed and they fell to the ground with the railing. It was a 4ft. drop. Both posts were rotted out! It was extremely dangerous. The owner did send his handyman to fix the railing over the next couple of days. Besides my children falling off his deck, which he offered no compensation for our very expensive stay, he made a property damage claim to ensure he would not have to pay for the deck repair on the insurance that we purchased to protect our trip! Pretty shady if you ask me. He has not reached out to rectify this so I have made a claim to VRBO and will be following up in hopes of some compensation. The deck NEEDS to be replaced! There were also several board that were up with nails sticking out and other rotting rails. Beware of your safety if you rent here.

Our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children) used both units and it was perfect for our family! The homes had everything we needed including a nice cooler, snorkeling gear, beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels. We loved the location close to Poipu Beach Park and Brecknecke's.

This was the perfect location and cottage set up for our family vacation! The cottages are tastefully decorated in the Hawaiian style. We will definitely be back!

Our family of 9 loved staying at this large 2 unit listing! There were plenty of sand toys, floaties, chairs, etc to use at the beach. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking. Mahalo!

Absolutely wonderful for families or a group of friends. There is also a studio guest house that can be included and is quite lovely. The property also has use of a very nice pool. All sorts of pool toys and sand toys were available and you have a short half block walk to the beach. Lance, the owner, responds quickly if you have any concerns. All in all a wonderful experience and would love to go back.

We picked this property because of the great location and the fact there are 2 cottages back to back as this was a family vacay with grown children, thought would give privacy and it didn't not disappoint. On arrival we were however disappointed with the cleanliness of the the cottages, everything was clean except the floors, they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. My son mopped and vacuumed both places, the vacuum cleaner canister after one carpet was 1/3 fill. Pool wasn't usable, area was overgrown, dirt in the pool no pool sweep and filtration not on long enough. Yard wasn't a comfortable yard as is very overgrown/overplanted. All beds need new mattresses, they've put foam toppers on which is fine but the bottom sheets (on all 4 beds) didn't fit so every morning you would wake up in a puddle of bottom sheet. Did not make for a good nights sleep. I relayed this information to the owner directly thinking if I were the owner I'd want to know what was going on since there was a house manager, he was a bit miffed and defensive. I just think the property needs some TLC. All that said, addressing these items, I would definitely recommend this place, is perfect for 4 couples or a family vacation in a wonderful location.

We loved staying at this property. We rented both units. The location was so great for our group of 6 adults and 3 young children - a short walk to the park and beach, a large property for the kids to run around & explore, a nice little pool, and a beautiful lanai surrounded by greenery. The weather was predicted to be stormy - typical March weather - but we were rewarded with very little rain during the day and tons of sunshine. Well furnished, very nice beds, lots of stuff for outdoors(beach chairs, towels and sand toys), spacious kitchens. Lance was a great host and very patient with our inquiries!! Highly recommended.

The property was just as described -- perfect for a large family, with all the amenities listed. The easy walk to 2 beaches made it extremely well located. We only used the pool once, as the weather wasn't that warm. Dorothy responded quickly and efficiently to all of our questions and we appreciated that.

We enjoyed this home , lots of space lovely yard and deck. Great for a couple families. The close access to the beach was one of the best features!

Overall the trip was fantastic. Home is in a great location. Well laid out for large group and very close to beach and activities. Unfortunately, the pool was not usable and the gas grill was falling apart. One quick call to manager and a replacement grill was sent over but that also was not working properly.

This is a great place for a family vacation including small children. The island is amazingly beautiful and there are many things to do.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. We rented three cottages and they were all accurate to the listing. The location is perfect if your wanting to be in Poipu beach. This was the perfect place for family and friends who don't want to be crammed in a hotel. I highly encourage you to stay here for your vacation!

We had an amazing 12 day trip with a group of 9 of us. Long time friends who are more like family enjoyed being close, but also able to do what we wanted--walking distance of the beach or pool days! We were also able to take a couple longer walks to shopping, food, bars and just all in all good times! We hit Costco before we settled in and it was ideal. We would definitely look into staying here again if our future travels find us in Kauai again. Thank you Lance!

We traveled with our young children and our parents. The property is walking distance to a beautiful beach. We walked there often during the trip. Also, the cottages are well-equipped with everything you need--including several items for children which was incredibly helpful. Beautiful fauna and the smell of plumeria in the yard. Walk to a variety of beaches! Walk to restaurants! And yet, the property is very private, between two high-end resorts. This was a perfect place for 8 adults. The property and amenities were not fancy, but it had everything we needed. The pool is a nice bonus - even though we had beaches a 2 min walk away, we used the pool every day as well.

I got married here about a week ago! My husband and I stayed in the adjoining cottage while our wedding party stayed in the big house. It was a gorgeous setting and amazing place to gather for a week with family and friends. Lance was communicative before and during our stay- he had us pay an extra fee to host the event but it was well worth it. The location was stellar and everyone loved the pool and spacious house. We rented the 2 duplexes for a family & friend vacation and had a great time! The 2 units worked great for our group because we put the old folks in one unit and the youngsters in another. The units were great but the sleeping arrangements were disappointing. The sofa sleeper in one unit was completely broken and unusable. The other unit was supposed to have a futon but didn't. But there was an air mattress and mats that we laid on the floors for a couple of people. I'd also recommend keeping the blinds closed in Unit 1 as the place really heats up with the west facing windows. Overall, very minor inconveniences. The units are really close to the beach and we enjoyed seeing the sea turtles every morning and evening. We could even hear the waves at night. And the pool and large shaded yard were perfect for relaxing when you've had enough sand. I'd definitely stay there again and can't wait for our next trip! Cottages were perfect for our family. The pool an added bonus! The location and layout of the cottage work well with the large porch area for meals together and card playing. All the beach chairs and towels a great help. Differed maintenance: coach in unit one still broken. A/C in unit one not large enough to cool the unit especially in August!

This was a girls’ trip away after one of our friend’s husbands passed away. It was the perfect getaway. Located really close to the beach, really close to excellent food, and the pool ended up being our saving grace when the weather was super hot.
