We always prioritize a river front stay when we visit Helen and this cabin definitely delivered. You can enjoy the sights and sounds of the river (and the people floating by) from the comfort of the deck. If you want to fish however, you will need to access the river from the other side, but it’s a less than 5 minute walk.
I would recommend the pictures of the kitchen on the listing be updated—it looks like some improvements have been made since the listing was originally published. The appliances have been updated and new countertops installed. It was different enough that we weren’t quite sure if we had the right house when we first got inside.
All in all we had a great visit. The rental agency was quick to respond when we had questions .

Beautiful cabin on the river! Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the river and listen to live music. We were able to walk into downtown Helen during our stay, which was very convenient.

Very handy and accessible to town. Loved being able to listen to the stream and watch folks playing and fishing.
All the amenities were present and clean. The only (slight) downside were the dead ants across the floor each morning. Obviously the exterminator had come through before we arrived.

This property was in a great location. It was on the river and a very short walk into town and all the festivities. The cabin was clean and was stocked with everything we needed to have a great time. We would definitely stay here again.

Very good access to property. Loved the deck on the river and sitting area accommodated all five of us easily. Everything was clean and well kept. Basic supplies were available (dish detergent, small soaps, paper products, cookware, dishes, etc. - only thing they did not have ere measuring spoons). They have drip coffee maker with filters and a Keurig. We are all 60+ and really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location to walk to everything Helen has to offer but far enough for peace and quiet. The house was very clean. Tons of outdoor seating for everyone in our group. Close to amazing food. And of course right on the river which is was so beautiful.

Outdoor area is fantastic and the river is so nice. The house could use some updates but doesn’t need them. The wifi is terrible and needs a major over haul. Otherwise great stay and worth the money!

Rolling on the river
This place is amazing! We stayed here with family and friends for Oktoberfest and the location is perfect. We were able to walk into town, and loved watching the tubers on the river. There is a gun little amenity near the water that had us rolling laughing. Will stay here again soon!
