This property was perfect for our family vacation. The location was close to the boat slip, close to amenities, and the views are beautiful!! We had never boated on Deep Creek lake before…what a beautiful, clean body of water. Put this lake on your must do list!

When we arrived to the property the outside of the home was deteriorated. The steps to come on to the entry were on a downward slope. Upon entering the home we were unhappy with the cleanliness. There were cobwebs, dust and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The cabinets were greasy and a cup had gum on it. Some of the TVs did not work. The whole first day was spent with the cleaning lady, who was wonderful, me washing blankets, and repairmen for televisions and gas fireplace. No logs for the wood fireplace, which was in horrible condition. My family came to visit while all this was going on. We felt like one whole day was taken away from us due to all the issues. Broken toaster, tv, jets and light on hot tub, microwave, functionality was off, refrigerator had sticky substance on the bottom, beer bottle by hot tub and driveway, and the gas grill was greasy and dirty. Took pictures of all but nowhere to upload. The best part was the view!

The kitchen was large and very well equipped and perfect for preparing large family meals. The bedspreads need to be updated as they were a bit worn and the sofa bed mattresses are almost completely broken down. There were also large cobwebs on the upper windows that need to be cleaned. But all in all it was a great house and we would definitely stay here again!

This property was absolutely fantastic. The house is stunning with absolutely incredible views! It's a great location, less than 10 minutes to Wisp Resort for skiing and tubing. The hot tub was great after skiing! The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. There was more than enough seating for everyone in our group! It is important to note that there are 2 pull out couches, I don't think they could have fit 2 adults (to sleep a total of 12), we had 10 people and it was fine. The heating of the house was a little off too, it was FREEZING in the basement but very hot in the upstairs.

We enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub amenities. There was not enough toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tablets, garbage bags, etc. to accommodate the 8 guests staying at the property for 2 days. The furniture was very dated and dirty. The oven smelled of gas and the pilot light seemed to keep re-lighting. The stove did not distribute heat evenly and it seemed the only setting available was high. The dishwasher took an incredibly long time to cycle. When we arrived the water was not turned on for us. We wouldn't rent this home again. The time with our friends was awesome though and the proximity to state parks for hiking was ideal.

The fuse to the water heater is the only fuse that switches (despite being reset dozens of times). The fuse box is regularly hot to the touch. The result is frigid showers or smelly guests. Neither is fun. When I called the property manager (Taylor Made), there was no answer. After I left a voicemail, there was no call back. The problem was never resolved. Until the electrical issue is resolved, or you enjoy arctic showers, I would avoid this rental.

The view from the top deck of the lake was great. The open concept living room and kitchen onto the top deck was nice for interacting with everyone. The only concern that I had was the overall cleanliness of the home. There were several cobwebs, spider webs in the basement and the lower deck. There were several large dead bugs in the basement and on the bottom deck. It was apparent that nobody had stayed there in a while, unless they just avoided the basement and bottom deck. It certainly was overlooked by the cleaning staff. Good experience overall. The early check-out at 10 a.m. is a little bit cumbersome, especially with it being labor day, and the chances that the rental is booked for the day after labor day being slim.

Also we were interrupted 2 of our 4 days- unannounced painter stopped by and landscapers- we were just heading out to the hot tub when they showed up.

I only have two minor criticisms: when we arrived, the walkway from the driveway to the entrance had been shoveld but was extremely icy. Was a bit of a downer to arrive to that, as we essentially had to skate our way to the door. We did find a shovel and some salt by the front door to further shovel the ice, but it would have been nice for that to be done prior to arrival. The only other ding was the fire place on the main level was extremely loud, so much so that we had to unplug it because it drowned out the tv, music, conversation, etc. Other than those two minor things, this place is great - the photos are accurate, and the view from the hot tub is as great as it looks in the photos. Would highly recommend to anyone.
