The property description was accurate about everything and it looked even better in-person than the pictures. The Lazy Dog Dunes is very specious house. The property was extremely clean and maintained! Customer service was above and beyond and this is one of the main reasons why we keep coming back. One suggestion we have and noticed with all houses is the amount of trash bags we get. We cook our food every-time and make a lot of trash. I know that if we asked the office we would've gotten but it would have been easier to just have them in the house. We would definitely recommend it to other people. We are coming back for sure this summer. During the winter stays we are somewhat limited on activities but this time we were able to go out for walks every day and enjoyed one evening by the fire outside.

Wonderful screen porch off the back... a complete vacation retreat! Our family had the best time staying here and would definitely return. Location is a bit off the beaten path but the LIMO golf cart provided with the home makes it totally doable. We absolutely adore Lazy Dog Dunes! Book it if you have the chance!

The kitchen was lauded by my famous chef sister, the firepit in back was lovely, the bathrooms were beautiful, the sceened in porch very valuable because this property is surrounded by woods so there were some mosquitoes, the strolls in Beachwalk were relaxing and fun, the beach absolutely beautiful.The only difficulty was how far this property is from the beach so when it gets its golf cart, that will solve that problem.

Very comfortable for fourteen people. We would stay there again. The neighbors were a little noisy at 1:00 A.M., the wera lot of gulf cart drivers very young in age, and they needed to be watched to avoid collisions. Overall our experience was excellant.

Beautiful spacious home. Lots to do. The master bed NEEDS a place to put clothing. 70 year olds don’t want to live out of a suitcase on the floor. Floors were not clean upon entering. But it was a very nice vacation place

Lazy Dog Dunes was beautifully appointed, exceptionally well stocked and suited to our needs, conveniently located, and squeaky clean. The house was spacious, offering ample room in common areas as well as plenty of quiet getaway spots for those needing a nap. Beachwalk staff were responsive, attentive, and friendly. Resort amenities were varied and fun. I might suggest a TV for the second master upstairs and sign-up for tennis and putt putt, but overall a five-star experience!

Quick process and we were even able to check in 2 hours early! Prompt response for golf cart issues and when propane was needed. Only thing that could have been improved if the floors were clean, as soon as we walked in our feet were black. Having a wet mop to clean floors prior would be good! Still had a blast, see you next year!

The furniture is small scale, so being taller people, it wasn't as comfortable as you would like. We have stayed at many other properties and this house was missing things that other houses have that make the stay easy- like limited kitchen tools, extra seating, extra towels, a set of sharp knives. Too, one of the main reasons we rented the house was the 6 person limo golf cart that was advertised in the listing. It was not at the house and made the trips to the beach and pool a two ride trip, or people were walking. All in all, the house was lovely, but didn't stack up well against other houses we have rented at Beachwalk.

The Beachwalk property - Lazy Dog Dunes was very clean and updated. We had 6 aduts and 5 children under 6 yers old. There wa adequate room for everyone but the sound proofing in the walls is minimal. The properties are very close together and you lose some privacy. The three levels of bedrooms is nice with mutiple families. The property pool is ok but can get crowded on the weekends. We thought we had a 6 person golf cart available with the unit but it was a standard size golf cart. The larger golf cart would have been convenient to drive to the beach. The nearby beach area was very nice and clean. We had a very postitive expereince at this property and tyhe management of the property is very professional.

Reviewer Comments: We rented this property for a family reunion (consisting of mostly adults) for some privacy, it's recent construction and overall location in Michigan City. When reserved, there were no homes next door. Upon arriving, 2 new homes were built. We did not like the closeness of the homes, thin walls, plus our beautiful indoor porch is adjacent to the home next door. Parties were going on there, so we didn't spend much time in the back. Previewing the home before the guests arrived, we noticed that there was no hand wash dish detergent, scrub sponge, coffee filters, a broken refrigerator produce door, one broken lightbulb and only 2 verses 4 extra rolls of toilet paper. Nothing we couldn't handle. We had to change the dirty AC filter which was available. Please update your website picture/info. We were bummed when only a 4 person (not 6) golf cart was available and the empty lot next door does not exist. Notify people of the driving situation within the subdivision. Finally, the garbage cans in the rear were always full-recycle bins were used for garbage as well. Overall, the reunion was a success. Thank you.

But for a home that was at the high end of the price range, there was much to be improved, namely guest comforts: (Sump pump that didn't alarm every 20 min., bureaus or shelves in bedrooms to lay things on, clocks, king beds (not full), decent towels, etc. Owner did send maintenance men 2 days to try to fix sump.

The kitchen was well equipped and had a wonderful pantry to get things off the cabinets and the dining room table with benches worked well with children plus the table on the screened in porch with additional seating. Walk to beach is a distance but we were provided a golf cart (albeit not a limo as shown) and we had access to a trolley service to shuttle us around. We decided to use the public park just down the road and pay the parking fee which worked much better for us and all our beach stuff. overflow parking was just around the corner as only 2 cars can be parked at the house. the home is remarkable quiet considering neighbors are very close on both sides but inside was a little noisy since there is no carpeting in the home which is a good thing because sand gets everywhere no matter how hard you try! Internet is fantastic!and we had a great supply of bath towels but could of used a couple extra kitchen towels. we also had an issue with a couple of doors but maintenance came right away and fixed them. Thank you so much, wonderful gentleman. Suggestions: basket on table by front door for the keys; set up the tv downstairs; waste basket in half bath and maybe a stool somewhere in house for little ones to use when washing hands. The management company was very helpful when we had issues and provided us with a welcome packet when we checked in. It had lots of information but very little details about the services provided, such as explaining the shuttle comes just like a taxi or that you need to reserve a time to use the kayaks. It is a crowded area but very nice and has a small town feel to it. drive slowly, golf carts and children everywhere!

The small children were safe in the screened in porch and had a great time. The kitchen area was great for a large family. The firepit area was not quite as pictured in the property description but we made it work. The golf cart was super and we really liked the larger size golf cart! We did wonder if the wood floors were ever mopped as our feet got extremely dirty from walking on them. The screened in porch floor needed a good power washing which was understandable with the construction and road near by. Even if we didn't walk in the screened porch our feet would be black from walking inside so a suggestion would be to scrub the floors after each rental.
