Myself and 8 other ladies stayed here for a long weekend. We all fit super comfortably. The place was beautiful and very clean. The house is incredibly well stocked with awesome features such as in home speaker system, large TVs, k-cups/coffee creamers, and comfy beds/pillows. I would definitely stay here again!

This home is amazing. It was so clean and was completely stocked with everything you could ever need. The furnishings were so nice and comfortable. I stayed with a group of 8 ladies and everyone raved about the house.

This house was the perfect spot for our winter break! Close enough to the resort for skiing and entertainment but far enough away to provide relaxation from a crowd. The house is the cleanest rental I have ever used and the kitchen has every spice and cooking tool under the sun. Can’t beat the views either.

Stayed here for a ski weekend in Wintergreen with a group of 11 and we were blown away by the experience. The Chalet is incredible - very clean, spacious, fully stocked, comfortable, beautiful views! The location is perfect and the home itself is very well maintained. The owner was very responsive and helpful answering questions and communicating. Wouldn’t change a thing and would love to stay again in the future. Highly recommend!

Clean, spacious, and wonderful for a trip with extended(or a large) family. The hot tub got hot and stayed hot, everything was thoroughly labeled and easy to find and the host was very responsive. The rooms clean and well placed, the kitchen beautifully stocked, there are hiking trails walking distance in both directions. It was a great space for us, we can’t wait to visit again!

This house was perfect for our girls weekend! 9 of us fit very comfortably in the house for a long weekend. The furniture is all very cozy, the house was spotless, and the kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I’ve used in a rental home! The homeowner was very communicative and made check in and check out very easy. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family!

This house was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway! Newly renovated, ample space, and fully stocked with any kitchen appliance you could need. We couldn’t have asked for more! I highly recommend staying here.

We had a lovely time at this property. There are so many more amenities and extras than other places we have stayed— not only the coffee bar but smoothie blender, crock pot… even wine and chocolates upon arrival!
The beds and sheets were extremely comfortable, plenty of towels, and the inside and outside was just beautiful.
The owner was so very helpful and responsive, even told us where to see the best views!!
Book this place if you can!!

Wow! What an amazing house, we were so pleasantly surprised on all stocked the kitchen was! It was clean, spacious and plenty of room for our family with young adults. Loved the big screen TV's in the all the rooms, hot tub, heated floors in the bathrooms on and on. Amazing house will definitely rent again next time headed to Wintergreen. Very short drive to the slopes/resort.

I do not usually write reviews, good or bad but I am making an exception here. Shamokin View Chalet exceeded all of our expectations. The house was very well stocked, very clean and super comfortable. We watched a lot of football on the huge TV’s and the kids marinated in the hot tub. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. All in all this was a great place to decompress after Christmas. Hope to get back soon.

Our family was very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our pre-Christmas celebration. We appreciated all the extras the owner of the house had made to make his guests feel comfortable and welcomed.

We absolutely loved our stay at this chalet. Incredibly clean and spacious. It was a dream to wake up in the mornings to have coffee on the decks overlooking the beautiful mountain views. The kitchen was FULLY STOCKED much more so than other rentals we have stayed at. Only downsides we had (completely out of owner control): pool pass was provided but only during certain times for non-residents, the driveway is really scary to navigate as it is steep, and you have to take your own trash to the resort trash bins. Noting here only for awareness but overall, we would all love to stay here again!

We wanted SPACE to spread out for our various age groups. The spacious living areas upstairs and downstairs were ideal. The many TVs offered each person the perfect place to watch movies, sports, and special shows. The sound system allowed us to celebrate the holiday and connect to our favorite music. 😍 Our Thanksgiving dinner was prepared in a roomy kitchen with a dining area that sat all of us. The setup allowed us to serve buffet style and prepare meals without stress! Our family was thrilled with the house, bedrooms, bathrooms, and deck areas! Communication and the kind greetings made us feel welcome.

The many stairs would be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

This house is so beautiful and perfect for a nice getaway trip with stunning mountain views! Communicating with the owner of the house was great. It was Located close to hiking walking trails (within walking distance from the house). The floor plan is perfect for multiple groups and both floors are perfect for entertainment. All the furniture was unbelievably comfortable and super clean. We will definitely be booking again.

The best VIEW. Only a 5 min walk to the trailhead of Shamokin Falls trail. There is literally not a single thing that has not been thought of in advance if your arrival. Every bed had its own towel and throw blanket. Coffee, creamer and sugar all in place for your enjoyment. Such a wonderful experience.

We loved the location- so close to the path to Upper Shamokin falls and quick drive to Devil’s Knob Overlook. The chalet was sparkling clean and had great amenities. Owner was responsive to contacts.

This is by far the best house we have ever stayed in in Wintergreen. The exterior of the house is gorgeous and the landscaping is superb. The views are incredible – it’s a treehouse perched high on a mountain! We loved having two living rooms. The kitchen is fully stocked and beautiful! The house is right down the street from the Upper Schmokin Falls hike, also! The property manager was wonderful to work with and the process was seamless. We will absolutely return to this lovely house! Thank you again so much for your hospitality!

The property manager was easy to get in contact with to answer questions. Top Notch
Every detail of this home was well thought out and meticulously cared for. It has everything you need from soap to spices to a fully stocked kitchen. Space to spread out even with three families and the outdoor living space is beautiful. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. Communication is strong but also, it was so well cleaned and taken care of that we had no concerns. The only suggestion I have is calling ahead if you want to go to the pool or lake. We were confused on which we could go to and which were open but this had nothing to do with the owner or management of the house. If we return to Virginia, we will definitely be back!

Most of the furnishings and beds/mattresses were new. The linens were nice and not on the cheap side. Walking distance to hiking trails and a quick drive to Devils Backbone Brewery and obviously the ski resort. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic walks around the neighborhood with the beautiful Shamokin Falls trail right across the street. We also headed straight out the "front" door to find the AT. Hiked on that for about an hour. Fantastic views and rock formations. We also had a close flyover of a great horned owl as we were hiking..

I had to move the nightstand to plug in my phone and found a lot of dead bugs, a water bottle and a q tip under the night stand. Appeared to be that way throughout the house if you had to move anything, appeared to only be clean in the areas you could see. The driveway is a bit treacherous and the handrail leading to the door was rickety. The hot tub was nice as well as the porch furniture, plenty of towels and a well stocked kitchen. Plenty of living space and the property manager was accomodating allowing us to check in early and communicated with me very well. Property is close to a hiking trail head which we enjoyed. Overall great stay.
