While we did not spend a lot of time actually at the yurt, it was as expected. Restroom facility was close by and had running electric and water. Tina was a easy to reach and responded quickly to our needs. The only thing that was not my fav was the pullout sofa and/or cots. These are fine for small children but not adults! Plan accordingly.

Nice getaway from the city

Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the setup was, great area and close to many things to do in the area. Would recommend.

The yurt was a fun & unique experience! The a/c unit was great in the evening/while we were sleeping but had a hard time keeping up during the day. Because of this, I would recommend only staying here during cooler months (or at least not in 106 degree temps!) unless you plan to be out and about while the sun is up. The yurt doesn’t have a kitchen, only a small fridge, microwave, and keurig machine. The bathroom is separate but that really wasn’t a big deal. Also, we were under the assumption that we would be much closer to the water but it was quite a hike to get to the lake. The scenery is beautiful though and overall a great place!

Great location with so much to do within minutes. Comfortable bed, couch bed not so much (but what adult can sleep good on one of those anyway?) Like previous reviews, a/c can't keep up during the heat, but cools magnificently at night. Everything is as described. Be sure to bring plasticware/drinkware/ papertowels/trash bags!

The yurt is in perfect condition in a great spot! The ac worked great too! It was over 100 outside and we were comfortable. Has everything you need there including outdoor games and board games! Absolutely loved it zero complaints.

Had a great stay! As described. Would have been a bonus to have a few coffee pods! Loved the hammocks and the view. Bed was comfortable and space was great!

Property was well maintained with a lot to do. There were outside games and plenty of seating, tables and hammocks. It was a beautiful place in a great safe location

We absolutely loved the property and host! Stayed Easter weekend and fished, cooked on the grill and just relaxed. Very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend!!

The yurt was comfortable, warm, and up to date. Only downside was restroom was a few feet from yurt, but that is also to be expected considering the structure. Firewood was available for a fire, and the property was easy to access.

Had an amazing stay at the Yurt. The Yurt itself is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was strong and there were a nice selection of dvds to watch. The hammocks and tables/chair outside were a nice touch as well; kids loved hanging out by the hammocks in the evening. We didn’t play any of the games outside but those were available too. The bathroom was a short location outside and was very clean as well. The location is great; it’s right by the lake and while it was very quiet and peaceful, it is not totally isolated. It’s a short drive to grocery, restaurants, etc. The sunset view by the gazebo was beautiful. Tina (owner) was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend a stay here!!

Very clean and well appointed for both the yurt and external bathroom. Just as advertised. My husband and I enjoyed this property over one of the hottest weekends this summer (around 106 degrees each day). The highly efficient AC and fans worked their heart out and inside was comfortable between 6 PM through 11 AM. We were out and about enjoying the nearby park, swimming beach and nearby shops and eating places during the hottest parts of the day. Great location, private and quality view of the lake. We'll definitely be back.

Took our two grandkids with us to visit our son who works in the Dallas area. What a treat--wonderful accomodations close to a swimming beach and the marina on Lake Grapevine. Felt like you were miles away from civilization, quiet, cool in morning and evening to enjoy the patio and grill area. The grandkids want to come back next summer!

My husband and I are retired and just needed to get away, we never stayed in a Yurt. We loved it! So spacious, bigger then we thought and a nice place to just relax. Very clean and since we are avid coffee drinkers the Kerig coffee maker was great since we use one at home. We would recommend this space for couples and families alike.

Very nice and clean! Both the yurt and the bathroom/shower combo which is about 20 ft from the yurt. Two separate outdoor dining areas, one of which is out of the sun along with two hammocks. The other is by the two grills. One is charcoal and the other propane. Only minor issue is it’s not completely secluded. You can still hear the hustle and bustle of city life from time to time. Spent one day at Meadowmere Park which has a small swim area. Overall, we had a great family weekend getaway!

This was our first time "glamping" and we loved it. Sleeping in a yurt was on my wife's bucket list and I'm happy we were able to fulfill that wish. The yurt was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The amount of natural light in the yurt was absolutely amazing! It was great to have a private bathroom as well since we were not used to such amenities when camping. Our experience was marred only slightly by some yahoo driving around late Friday night in a muscle car making a lot of noise. This went on for over an hour and interrupted the peacefulness of the environment. However, that was not the fault of Tina or or yurt and I blame the youth. The yurt is located close to Grapevine so one can enjoy the town. We ate out all of our meals in Grapevine just because we didn't feel like cooking. I would highly recommend this place for a nice weekend get away and to experience the beautiful tent used by the Eurasian people of the steppes throughout history.

Great local getaway to spend with my daughter and friends. Kids loved the wide open spaces!

Very clean and relaxing. Everything was as expected from the post and other reviews. Enjoyed the fire pit with the Fall weather. Would've preferred to be further away from the noise of civilization but really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for sharing.

My husband and I decided to just do a quick we’re meant to get away for the weekend and this is a great spot near the water we were able to go paddle surfing go to downtown Grapevine and shop so if you want some peace and quiet and just enjoy yourself this is a wonderful place

It was fun. Nice private area. Not truly lakefront, but still pretty. Bathroom lights were out two of three nights we were there, which made travel to the separate toilet a bit precarious in the dark. Over all it was a good experience.

I stayed there for three days as i participated in online a songwriting retreat. I had solitude and quiet and beautiful nature around me. Exactly what I needed. The yurt was well-appointed with comfortable bed and sofa, and very clean. Well-groomed outdoor space as well. Very enjoyable. It was not clear before I got there that the bathroom was down a short path--not IN the yurt (which was a little scary by myself at night). Also, there is a keurig coffeepot, microwave and refrigerator but no plates, mugs or eating utensils of any kind. It would have helped to know beforehand. All in all, very nice experience

The yurt was everything I thought it'd be and more, minus one hiccup with the grill; however, the owners of the property were on site and were very quick to respond and jump into action and have their maintenance man come fix the grill and work out the kinks. Back to the positives... The yurt is pristine. Spot-less. And had more space inside than I even imagined. It was absolutely comfortable. The mini-fridge held all the food I brought and the freezer held an entire bag of ice, which was nice! There is cornhole and croquet on the premises, and I've never played croquet before, so once learning the rules my husband and I set it up and played for well over an hour - it was the best game ever. I'm so happy it was there! The hammocks? Don't even get me started. They were the icing on the cake. Absolutely perfect. Fell asleep multiple times swaying on the hammocks - it was heaven. We never did go swim - so you definitely have to either walk/drive down to the cove area and get in because over by the yurt it's all secluded and mostly covered with trees. We found one open spot that we were able to walk/get to and fished from. We saw plenty of fish jump and I even had a bite on my line! but we caught nothing. The grounds are well kept. And inside it's flawless - the bed it absolutely comfortable. You'll pass out almost instantly. I just hope you don't mind roosters letting you know it's 5:30 AM! I didn't mind - we're out on a lake. But people like to be forewarned. The rooster doesn't live on site - it's obviously far away, maybe across the pond. He crows for about 20 minutes then is done. You'll hear beautiful birds. coyotes, and lots of wind rustling. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Yes - you will hear planes and yes - you may hear the soccer games but it's truly not a nuisance if you just relax and take it all in where you're at. All-in-all...I'd say this place was amazing. I wish I could live in a place like this yurt. Just be sure to bring EVERYTHING you need and you're set! :) Thank you to the owners - you're a blessing.
