We will definitely be booking this for next year. Everyone had a blast! Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of catfish to be caught! Awesome awesome time!!

Overall we were disappointed with this property. The kitchen is too small for a large group and everything is pretty dated. Upon arrival the yard had trash laying all over and the fire pit was full of beer cans. I wouldn’t recommend renting this one.

We had an amazing trip. Although the house was nice and the water was amazing. My favorite part of the trip was each night around the fire. There were three or four skunks that lives very close by. Every night they would come out. watching my children run and scream was pure bliss.

Wake dreams was all we expected. Awesome place to relax and for the kids (ages 8-13) swim and have fun. The dock was great. The house had tons of room and space to spread out (although it could use a little updating.) Only down fall, the neighborhood its in is super hilly (have good brakes) and lots of stairs from the lake to the house and vice versa. Overall nice place with plenty of room. 4 of 5 stars

We had a family reunion with about 14 and there was plenty of room. The steps down to the lake are many, 83 my 91 year old mother counted, so don’t forget anything. The inside was pretty clean but there was trash, T-shirt, broken chair and cans on the outside. The steps to the dock were coming apart so that looked sketchy. Some bathrooms had a drain problem but I did mention that so hopefully it will be fixed. The kitchen was well stocked with pans and such and the two refrigerators were nice. Overall it was good for the family. We’d stay again.

Property was clean and spacious, with lots of room to separate adults from kids. This home is the perfect setting for game nights, fishing, and bonfires. The host was great, and answered all my questions quickly. Highly recommended!

First time to Norris Lake, the property was well kept and clean. Dock was very nice and the boat ramp was very close to the house.

Quite Relaxing, well deserved break after a long time

Great cabin. Upstairs bunk beds gave some back problems and the bottom room by the jacuzzi didn’t have any door molding causing heat to escape and some insects to get in but nothing a towel couldn’t prevent. I was a little bummed the cabin didn’t have any hand soap either. I would stay again, would recommend.

John's property was clean, fully stocked with dishes and towels, and ample linens. There was more than enough space for the 23 of us. We had a wonderful holiday.

We wanted to get our mother out of confinement in her assisted living apartment and live a little for a weekend. The house was very nice and we had a great time seeing the beauty of Norris Lake and enjoying each other's company in isolation. The house is big and comfortable. Remember to bring your own soaps, toilet paper, coffee, etc. Overall, we had a very nice weekend.

The property was great location and amazing views. We had a wonderful time and would stay at this property again. Only concern we had was bedrooms 7 & 8 showed signs of mold and not accessible from within the house. There was plenty of other sleeping space so we just decided not to use those rooms. Other than that it was a beautiful clean home and great vacation spot on Norris Lake.

The cabin location is perfect if you want to get away from the noise of the city or just relax in your vacation. The view is perfect to the lake and it was a quite neighborhood. Cleanliness was okay, we found a lot of dust under the table and the terrace area was full of leaves. Looks like they haven’t clean it in a while. So when I wanted to communicate with the owner it was difficult because the internet was Slow and had to wait for a long time to see his reply. There is no service for phone and WiFi is horrible. Also, we had to basically clean and we had to do our beds and take them out before leaving. The hot water runs out really quick, so we had to take timed and quick showers so everybody had a hot shower. Also, room #7 and #8 Entrance area (inside the room) isn’t even finish and there is a gap of segment with a lot of leaves and dirt in the gap. I will recommend it to anyone, is just some details that need to fix. But everything else was awesome!

Nice place just needs a good cleaning up. The doors especially. We were given the wrong code to the gate and had to sit and wait for someone to come so we could get in. There is no phone number listed until you get to the house. Good thing someone showed up or we would of had to camp at the gate as we didn’t get the correct via email till 5 something am. Otherwise nice place and we loved the people at the marina around the corner everyone was so nice.

This property had a couple maintenance issues but overall everyone loved the house and waterfront. I had 15 comfortably housed- plenty of room in the common area , plenty of plates/silverware etc, and the location of boat rental and jumping bridge was a plus. Note: the yellow swimming mat is not included w the house- it must be rented from the marina folks. We boated to dinner several times and tubed often- great water temperature too.

We had a large group stay in this house and we had a great time!! The Property Manager was very accommodating to our requests. Great location...…….. secluded, yet only about 15-20 minutes to town. Loved the lake!

We really enjoyed our time staying here with family. The house is very clean and has parking right in front we had 5 cars with us. The boat dock is great plenty of room. It's beautiful and so relaxing. Would recommend!

First trip to Norris Lake. We traveled from PA, MD and NC. The lake was clean, deep and relaxing!!! The house was great. House says it sleeps 29. We had 20 and it was just about the correct limit. Kitchen is a bit tight for a large group but we didn’t spend a lot of time in there. The lower section is not accessible from the house and has a really musty smell so be prepared. Overall the house was just what we needed. John was great with providing information. Be careful if you bring a boat. Launch somewhere other than the neighborhood boat launch. It’s very steep and very dangerous. Love Norris lake and we already booked another trip!!!

Overall we had an amazing stay. Everyone left with a ton of memories and no voice. There was a few things that was noticed that could have made things go a little more smooth. First, the bottom two bedrooms are still pretty damp. The mildew smell was very noticeable but we got used to it. Just don’t think much can be done about it since it’s partially underground. Maybe bring some damp rid or a small dehumidifier. The second thing is an easy fix. We had never visited Norris area before so an email telling us the best way to approach the property while towing a boat would be nice. I about burned up my brakes coming down the huge hill when I didn’t need to. Maybe some launch instructions could work. For instance, no trailers are allowed in front of the house. We rapidly figured out that we need to either launch the boat before we get to the house or detach and leave the boat at the top of the hill until later. All in all this is a great property for the price and we’d consider coming back again.

Just got home from our trip and am ready to go back already! The house suited our needs perfectly. We were 10 and had more than enough room. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, we were even able to make our Easter ham in a provided roasting pan, first time I've seen that. There were baking sheets, pyrex casserole pans, more than enough frying pans, blender, griddle, everything you could need in the kitchen. Had some issues with the AC, reached out to John who had someone there within 10-15 minutes! John was very responsive to our questions and very helpful. You will need to by all the basics, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, sponges but that's usually norm. The house was clean and could use a deep cleaning, which John said was scheduled, we were the first ones there for the season. The lake is beautiful, the fire pit was fantastic, rented a pontoon boat which we were able to keep right at the house. All in all, a wonderful vacation and I would highly recommend this property or any property maintained by John. Thank you!!

We stayed at Wake Dreams this past summer and returned again over the holidays for a family getaway. The lowest level has been completely renovated with all new drywall, hardwood floors, bathroom, and looks amazing. There is no musty smell or odor and we were very impressed. This house has an amazing location in the summer since it is at the front of the neighborhood in a no wake zone very close to the bridge. In the winter it has deep water and concrete steps with an amazing view. The fire pit was great and they even delivered firewood to us! There were more than enough dishes, pots/pans, and silverware for our group. We'll be definitely back this summer!

We really loved this house and the part of the Lake the house is on, right down from the jumping bridge and Sugar Hollow Marina. The boat dock was covered and very nice. The master bedroom was awesome and the house is beautiful. No complaints. Just some minor things that need done like caulk around the kitchen sink, update some pots and pans and dishes, little things like that. We will likely be coming back again next year.
