The house is an older home but very clean and comfortable. We loved the fenced in yard for the dogs which was one of the reasons we chose this rental. It is within 1-15 minutes of many fun bars and tasty restaurants. I would not hesitate to rent this house again.

The owner was very helpful and got back with me in a timely manner when I had questions.

My pup enjoyed the yard and watching boats in the canal. Owners were quick to respond to any questions before & during our stay.

We stayed for the month of April, our son stayed with us for 3 days. Was a nice area, met the folks across the canal, they were very nice and from Michigan, my home grounds. Stores & restaurants were closeby, and we had friends just north that we got to visit.

The home was bright, convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment AND was stocked with everything you could imagine from a full kitchen to the small touches you need on a vacation. True thoughtfulness and love went into this rental and it shows. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. We highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful time staying at the jumping mullet. Check in was simple and the host is wonderful. We needed a simple location to dock the boat and our focus was solely on fishing and boating. The house met our needs. Mr Abe, the wonderful neighbor gave us instructions as to the channel navigation in order to avoid what I named Tourist Rock and the locals call the prop eater. He even drove our truck to the boat landing to help us load up. The hosts are the type of people who really want you to enjoy the experience and are sincere. We plan on going back.

The location was very quite and easy to get in & out to hwy 19. It was a great place to stay for the two of us. There was heat when we needed it & air conditioners that worked great. My husband fished & kayak. The owners are very nice to deal with. Would stay there again. Just not sure where we will be traveling next winter yet.

Having lived in Florida,kept us busy seeing old sights. A day at Weekie Watchie mermaid show & park was a day filled with fun. There's a lot to do in nearby parks and renting a canoe proved to be an adventure. It was nice to come home after a day out and about and find our old little dog relaxed and happy. We were happy to have the peace and quiet evenings.

We took 2 cats and a dog on our first retirement trip to warm weather. The house was clean, but not fancy. Tile floors throughout, a screened porch, and fenced backyard met all of our reqirements for keeping pets safe as well as comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting on the dock and drinking a glass of wine each afternoon. Kayaking to the bay was wonderful!

Pro: 1. Our parents enjoyed the fishing on the Doc daily. 2. The house being on a canal where brother-in-laws boat could come through to pick our parents up to go out to the ocean. 3. Having the screened back porch helped from getting bit by bugs. 4. Allowing our parent's 2 small dogs was great. They enjoyed being able to be with them. 5. Was great to have a kayak available to use down the canal. Con: 1. The house only has window units which does not really cool the house well. 2. The house is not in a great neighborhood. Neighbors have junky homes. 3. Not a walking distance to beach. You have to still drive to it. Overall, even though the house is not in an inviting area, and not having good air conditioning, our parents enjoyed being able to visit with Family and get some daily fishing. Thank you for letting them stay.

The first impression was how clean the house was on the inside but a lawn could use some mowing. ( someone did come by and mowed it a day before we left ) The house had everything you need to stay comfortable, down to the tiny little thing you never thought of like a first aid kit which I used when I scrapped my leg, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. The TV has an HBO which we enjoyed to watch when it's too hot to do anything outdoors. Stayed at this house it's like stay at the family home if you're looking for something fancy, this is not the house for you. The shower has a good water pressure which I like.The area is very quiet and close to everything you want to do , lots of state parks , restaurants and beaches nearby. The owner, Ha Thu seems to be very kind and nice and communicates with you, if I can make one suggestion, maybe add a couple of lounge chairs in the screened room. Thank you again.

My Husband, our son, one dog, three cats and I stayed at The Cottage on the Canal for nine days while we waited for the closing on our home. We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was provided. The backyard and the canal view was great. The home was very nice and suited our needs. I would recommend staying at The Cottage on the Canal. The owners are very nice people. Thank you to the owners from our family.

The owners were very pleasant to work with, however, we were very disappointed at how run down the home was.

My family of 5 stayed at the jumping mullet place for 7 wonderful days. We absolutely enjoyed every single day. The house is in a quiet neighborhood very close to the main road, but far enough from it where it's not bothersome. You could easily walk to the store to grab a drink or bag of ice. Well furnished with all of your necessary items. We had plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed fishing from the floating dock and using the crab traps provided with the property. The mullet really do jump right out of the water a around you. We saw many crab, needle fish and mullet during our stay. The birds are beautiful and they fish right in the canal in the mornings. We hope to come back to stay soon. Would highly recommend this place to any family and friends.

The very best thing about staying in this home was the kindness and willingness to help of the owners. We had a little wifi issue and they replied quickly and solved our problem. We did enjoy the screened in porch. Many nice and interesting places to eat and watch the sunset. We appreciate the hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The kids had a great time with the kayaks and the canoe. The house was very clean We visited family in Florida, but it was nice to have our own place.

We had a very pleasant stay after we sold our house and were waiting for our new house to be built. Having the separate office with Fios internet worked perfectly for us since I work from home. My family was very comfortable there and enjoyed the screened-in patio and sitting on the floating dock. The location is perfect with a Walmart only 1 mile away, lots of other stores and restaurants and I enjoyed my evening walks down the local streets looking at the canals and boats.

spent a week at the mullet house even saw several swim by while we were house hunting in the area. my 4year old grandson caught several fish off the dock took a ride with me in the genoa? which is a stable boat to take young kids in.we were able to complete our mission and enjoyed our stay in the home.would recommend this home to anyone who has the time and inclination to use the watercraft to fish the gulf
