Fantastic condominium. My girls and I had a quick weekend on Lake Travis. Love that it’s secluded away from the craziness in Austin, but close enough to just about everything.

Overall The Island was a great getaway and very relaxing. Loved seeing the deer everywhere!!
The only restaurant on site is not very reliable so be sure to have a back up plan for your meals.

We enjoyed our stay. The only bad part was someone close to us was yelling at each other. Plus they walked so hard you could hear them.

Please note this is not the date I stayed. This reservation was cancelled because of the condition of the place when I stayed in June 2022.
This place was in need of a deep cleaning.. The photos were deceptive. When I reported this the response was that was not important. Linens for couch was balled up dirty in the closet. Window and window seals were dirty. Rugs were dirty. Ceilings were filled with cobwebs. The instruction were for us to put linen in the washing machine before leaving.
I also paid $25 for them to search for lost item. Never heard from the company. I will never use Verbo again nor recommend it. I don't like giving poor reviews but people need to be aware of this situation. its condition is a health hazard. Sydney D.

Only one wash cloth in the bathroom. Unit not well maintained. Did not have entry gate code when we first arrived.

I don’t give it a five because the place needs a lot of improvement!
1- needs an intelligent TV and a bigger TV
2- the coffee machine needs to be a Keirig
3-the seating outside needs urgently new pillows, sorry to be honest
my husband and i really enjoyed watching Netflix movies at night and we couldn’t.
Secure the cables of TV cz i tripped on them. other than that the place is vey nice

The place was so unclean, problem with ants and if that was not enough the stained bed sheets and bed cover was just about too much. Vacasa management was kind on the phone, promised what they could. It was just not enough and timely. We vacationed before on The Island at Lago Vista, but not this condo location. Sad to say that we won’t be back, we love this location.

This place was beautiful and serene. The condo was stocked with all the essentials and the customer service was impeccable. The hot tub was absolutely perfect in the colder temps. We enjoyed using the fire place. There are deer everywhere. It was an extremely peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of everything but only about thirty minutes from Austin if you wanted to do something other than relax. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly
Small cons/ recommendations: there are blinds but no drapes In the bedroom so as a parent who was trying to catch up on zzz’s kid free this was a bit of a negative. Given that we went in December, having a little Chiminea or outdoor heater would have been nice so we could enjoy the patio. The water in the lake was very low, but that obviously is not the condo’s fault lol

What a great place to stay. A beautiful spot actually on Lake Travis with great views of the lake, wonderful sunrises, and sunsets. Spacious accommodation with huge outside covered balcony and lots of room inside. The unit is extremely clean, and well appointed in Texas decor. I could go on and on, but this place is the best - definitely one that I will go back to again and again. It’s just that special.

I worked at the Island from 2001 to 2003. After 19 years it was a blast coming back, the Villa was clean, well taken care of and had what we needed to enjoy our stay. I can’t wait to go back again.

This property has a lot of potential. I was extremely upset that i could not receive the code to enter the gate until 4:20pm and had to call and get it, it was never sent to me. No one was there before us and i arrived at 330pm. It is too hot to make people wait outside gor no reason. It was pet friendly which was a draw for us.. However, it was not near a convenient dog walking area and you could tell previous renters just let their animals ruin the carpet in the bedroom. It was filthy. There was animal hair on the couch and the floor was not clean. The bed was surprisingly nice and the overall decor was nice. There were very few restaurants or stores in the immediate area so lots of driving.

The views are amazing! The condo is much bigger than it looks in pictures. Was awesome having friendly deer walking around the complex. If you have a dog then I definitely recommend this condo. Austin is very dog friendly!

The condo and the resort was good but the closest convenience store was three miles away on a winding road. Closest town was approximately seven miles away so getting breakfast or lunch is an issue. Their is a restaurant on site which is opened for dinner on the weekends but the menu is somewhat limited and the staff was well below standards and at time rude. They were supposed to email you gate code but they did so, suggest phoning the property before you leave in order to gain access. Lastly, the pool in area 3 was like taking a bath, really warm and did realize there was access to the lake until the day we left.
If you bring all your own food and plan on staying at the resort the whole time, it is a good place to stay.

Nice stay (7 days), but a couple of things:
First, the balcony is amazing. Great covered and open views of Lake Travis and the Hill Country. Really enjoyed that. Also like the layout that separates the bathroom from the master bedroom and the ceiling fans in every room.
The condo met all of our needs, and we plan to stay here again, but we would have appreciated more than two washcloths, salt in the kitchen, and a good carpet scrub in the master. Also, (and this is squarely directed at the cleaning crew) please sweep the hard surface floors. They were littered with crusties, but not something a simple sweep/mop would not have remedied.
Over all, recommended. :-)
