The home was spacious and welcoming. We found the short walk to the beach especially nice. The pool area was great and we spent a lot of time there. I especially loved the beautiful flowers. While we had next door neighbors on either side, you couldn’t see them and made it feel more secluded. The grill and kitchen were great. I always bring an extra large pot to cook a boil, but that was the only thing missing. There was no need to improvise or buy anything, wonderful! My family will be back!!!

Most of the house was updated with lots of amenities. Outdoor area in the backyard was awesome with the pool, hot tub, & nice seating area. The bathrooms could use some updating and some of the door ways did not open and close well. The living room furniture was very comfortable and provided many seats for our family. Overall, a very nice getaway & would rent again.

Wonderful pool and huge deck. Brand new hot tub, only a short walk to a nearly private beach. House has just about everything you could want for fun in southwest Michigan.

We had a very nice stay here. It has quick access to a very nice beach that is semi private so it was never too crowded. The pool was very nice. It was a chilly week so we asked them to turn up the heat a bit and they had someone do this the very next day. The owner was very pleasant. The only negative comments would be it was not stocked with very many items so be sure to bring everything you need for cooking including sugar, flour, spices, oil, etc; and bring washcloths if you like to use them. They did provide many bath towels and have 2 washers & 3 dryers so that was very convenient. It is a very nice wooded area but with this you may want to wear bugspray if you will be out in the evening and keep an eye out for ticks. Overall we loved the stay and would return to this property again.

Renting in early June, I thought a heated pool would be great for the grandkids and it was. Short walk to the beach (McKinley Rd) which was never crowded. Owner was responsive for questions. Huge private backyard.

Rental was easy. House was clean and ready when we arrived.

We loved this house. It's perfect for the size of our group: two adults, four teens. It's clean, well stocked, and the location is nice: across the street from the lake, short walk to downtown Union Pier. The yard is huge and enclosed. Pool and jacuzzi are great. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Definitely will return.

I can't stress enough how nice this house is! The rooms are all so much bigger than they look in the pictures, and that back yard is MASSIVE. We had a group of three adults who stayed here as a "work from a different home" getaway. I'm really happy to report that the internet supported all three of us working and even videoing at the same time. The area is fantastic. I thought from the photos that we might be in a slightly crowded residential area and while we did have neighbors on both sides, there's so many trees that the property felt incredibly secluded. The beach is a really easy walk from the house. You're also a pretty close drive to hiking and other attractions. A few people have mentioned the Black Current Bakery and I'd love to throw in a mention for the Whistle Stop Grocery- we really liked our 40 minute round trip walk every morning for delicious coffees and pastries (it's about a 5 mintue drive). The kitchen had everything you'd want. I might suggest packing a few storage containers for leftovers, but otherwise was really well equipped. Bedrooms are all a good size with plenty of storage options. The back yard, as mentioned, is glorious. There's two grills in great condition, and plenty of room in the hot tub. There's also a fire pit and plenty of wood. We were too chilly to try the pool, but it looks pretty nice. One of my friends referred to the yard as "the country club!"I didn't need to communicate with Valery while there, but he was so helpful and quick to respond with a few questions I had while we were looking at the house. We received check-in instructions the day of our visit with plenty of time before we arrived.This truly was a wonderful week and such a nice house for a relaxing stay. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This house is very spacious. Backyard is a heavenly retreat with a very large pool and hot tub. Very private as well. We were there the first weekend in October and the pool was warm even though the outside temperatures were in the 50s. The beach is a short walk away. We would definitely recommend this home.

We loved our stay here. The house was a nice size. Val made sure we had all the kitchen tools and appliances we needed. Leading up to our trip Val was wonderful and quickly responded to all our emails. The location is perfect. Just a short walk to two public beaches. We walked into town a few times for breakfast from the black currant bakwry (highly recommend). The true treat was the yard and the pool. We spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub and had many meals on the spacious and well covered back deck. We hope to come back in 2021.

We had such a great time ! The house is so clean and the backyard is spectacular. The owner could not be more accommodating. I had a couple of questions (10) and the responses were prompt. I hope to return next year! The weather also cooperated. The sunsets are beautiful on the beach. My whole family had a great time.

my family stayed here for a week and the kids had the best time since Covid! the house is very spacious, clean, and the ranch style keeps everyone on the same floor. kitchen was well equipped and having 2 refrigerators was ideal (one for the beverages!) the backyard is very spacious and large tress around make you feel like you are in the woods. Large pool is a great for kids and adult fun. the hot tub is icing on the cake. great area in union pier many neighbors walk/run the path that the house is on. 2 public beach accesses 1-2 blocks away. would stay the whole month if I could!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Home is clean and comfortable with everything our family needs. The large pool was enjoyed by everyone, and the hot tub is an added bonus. The beach is still beautiful with plenty of room to play in the sand.

House is huge with plenty of room. Very clean. Pool was also clean and nice and warm for us. Pet friendly was nice with access to big yard. Valerie quick to respond and easy to work with. Everything that you need and close to groceries and restaurants. Perfect place.

I just stayed this past weekend with my husband and 2 kids, as well as our friends and their 2 kids and we had a great time! The house is close to two beach entrances. There is an awesome breakfast place less than a mile away. There were plenty of beds in the 3 bedrooms. There are two large tables to eat at. The living room and the kitchen are both very spacious. The best part is the backyard. Large, clean heated pool, lots of chairs. The hot tub was great, since it was kind of cold during our weekend. The gas grill was in great condition and we used that to cook dinner one night. The owners are great to work with and very accommodating. Great things you may not think about: The house is a ranch, so if you have little ones, you don’t have to worry about stairs. There is a basement, but you can close the door. The house is mainly wood floors, so pets and kids are easy to clean up after. We will be back next summer for sure!

I love Union Pier. Val's home has a well equipped kitchen with dining area and food prep island. The bedrooms are nicely furnished as is the rest of the house. The pool is super with a big deck and elevated wood deck off the back of the home - very private too. Short walk to the beach too.

We had 3 adults and 3 kids stay here over the 4th of July. We fit very comfortably. The place is great. Very clean, well stocked with everything you’d need, fantastic pool, hot tub, deck and patio area. The beach is right down the street with two easy access points. The owners are readily available and extremely nice. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

First and foremost the owner Valery was amazing and kind and accommodating! I can't emphasize this enough. The home is large enough to sleep many. The pool was great for grandkids and the walk to the beach pretty short. Some of the things I didn't care for, and I know the house in the middle of beautiful woods and is an old one: giant black ants roam the kitchen, flies get in quickly, so be prepared to carry the provided fly swatters with you, the decking is a dark stain and will burn your feet or kids feet..in the sun..please be aware and be safe, and lastly, the owner had just had a new air conditioner installed, and it stopped working the day the weather was 95 and humid outside. He did offer to drive a window air conditioner from Chicago, but I figured I could make it through the night. Hopefully he was able to get it fixed. Also there was a washer and dryer in the musty basement, but it required a special soap (should be provided by owner..) If you don't mind the experience of a well worn and loved cottage.. this will be a good choice for large groups or families and dog friendly as well.

This is the third year we have stayed in this home for our annual girls weekend. This house has tons of room, the kitchen is well stocked, the location is great and the pool is lovely. The owner is easy to work with too!

My wife, two year-old son, and two small dogs had a great time at this Union Pier home. The house, and really the entire property, is incredibly spacious; the amenities -- pool, hot tub, gas grill, and large Smart TVs throughout house -- were all very nice; the location was terrific -- short walk to the beach and very close (by car) to Union Pier market and other nearby high-end grocers and specialty stores. Owner (Valery) was wonderful to work with and very accommodating (he permitted us to check-in early on our first day and stay a little late on our final day -- very helpful when traveling with a toddler!) We would happily rent here again -- and would certainly recommend.
