A great place to rest and relax and enjoy sunrises and long walks on the beach. Not sure who enjoyed it more, the adults or our GSP, Grace! The cottage met all our expectations and the owners made us feel at home. Thanks for a much needed vacation!

The beach is literally your backyard in this cottage. Two decks:one covered and one not, so you can move in and out of the sun. Very nicely decorated in vintage beach cottage style. Close to restaurants. A perfect location. Owners were delightful to deal. Will definitely rent here again.

This is an amazing location and and awesome home to stay in. The owners go way above and beyond for the people they rent to. I could not ever ask for a better vacation. Thank you Mark and Kim for all that you guys done for my family to make this vacation fantastic. You guys are truly amazing people. My family had the most wonderful vacation at Lemonade Cottage! This was our second visit and everything was how we remembered and even better - new deck...Awesome. Beautiful and relaxing views - sunrises & dauphins & rainbows...Just stunning! Can't thank Kim & Mark enough!!!

We loved the cottage. It’s right on the beach. Got to see a beautiful sunrise every morning from our bed or with an early morning walk on the beach .( Depending how much fun you have the night before!)Just up over a small natural sand dune. 5 star cleanliness, all necessary home amenities you need . Just brought our linens but you can request they be there already. We don’t know the price for that. They are very responsive and friendly.Fits four adults comfortably . Nice bunk room for 2 kids though. The 2 other bed rooms are pretty small but I thought if there were some wall shelves that would help with all the stuff us girls like to bring on vacation. It worked though.No other houses to block your view of the beautiful ocean was great sitting on the newly built wrap around deck . The deck has complete shade if you prefer and the very front deck facing the ocean has all sun. Highly recommended.

Been coming to Kitty Hawk over 30 years, first time beachfront. Absolutely perfect, everything we needed was there and new deck was incredible. Kim and Mark were excellent hosts and made sure everything was right for us, and that we felt like valuable and welcome guests.

Loved every minute of our stay! Nothing beats the beach as your backyard, yet close enough for walking distance to restaurants. And for eating in, the kitchen and views are wonderful too! We love coming here year after year!

This is our second year staying at this little cottage that is right on the ocean and we love it. Sitting on the deck watching the sunrise over the ocean - what could be better? Beautiful new deck has been added since our last stay and we really enjoyed it. Wish we’d reserved the cottage for two weeks instead of just one. Looking forward to going back next year.

What a wonderful home to spend a week together as a family! This is the perfect place in OBX. Our family has spent multiple years now with this property and the owners are first class. The home is immaculate and the most updated on the whole row, incredibly clean, and a showcase home in OBX. (It has a wonderful history as well). The accessibility to the beach is perfect and the surf fishing is incredible! There is zero public access, so when we stay here, it almost feels like a we have a private beach. Lemonade is amazing!

Property is a small, somewhat rustic beachside home which was just what we were looking for. Managers were communicative, but not overbearing. They let us know that the house was ready to occupy prior to the designated 4:00 check in time. Property was located in an area where it was easy to find decent restaurants as well as nearby grocery store and fish market. Morning sunrise over the ocean was spectacular. Would not hesitate to return or recommend to others.

Three years of trying to get a reservation only to be delayed by covid, but finally everything worked. Could not be happier with Kim for her communication, her help. Definitely hope to return next year.

This cottage is full of character and each detail did not go unnoticed! It was a perfect location (centrally located) for us to explore the outer banks in both directions. It was very clean and the owners are communicative and helpful. We had an excellent stay!

Lemonade Cottage offers a cozy spot right on Kitty Hawk beach. The cottage has been lovingly updated in keeping with its original footprint and history. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We benefited from its exceptional location heading north to Duck and Corolla, south to Kill Devil Hills, Rodanthe and Hatteras, and walking to the pier and a couple of restaurants. Owners were incredibly organized, responsive, and had wonderful recommendations for the area. Our family hopes to return!

This was such a delightful place to stay! Absolutely loved the charm of the old Outer Banks cottage. Beautiful blend of old and new with views that can’t be beat! Everything was clean, organized, wonderfully decorated and easy to use. Mark & Kim have really done a fantastic job providing everything you’d need. This property was a quaint, homey cottage getaway with incredible ocean views from every room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which provided us with one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in years! Kim and Mark were very welcoming and we look forward to our next OBX visit at Lemonade Cottage.

Enjoyed the Lemonade Cottage, even more when I cleaned the dining and bedroom window (took minutes with a paper towel). No fault of the owner, just mother nature doing her thing but gave a clear view of the ocean. A relaxing, step back in time in a 1930 cottage with all the comforts of today.

The cottage was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach views were spectacular and you csnnot get closer to sun and fun on the sand! Much appreciation to our gracious hosts!

Another great stay; cut short by a hurricane; but the days we were there great. Mark and Kim swung by to give us an update on the work being done on the beach to replenishment and offered options; but we did not have a problem with the work. It was very interesting to watch.

We love Lemonade Cottage so much, we return every year! Mark and Kim are always available if anything in the cottage needs attention or you have a question. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has the best beach! Can’t wait till next year!

So, VRBO only lets you review a place after checkout. Good thing, as this would have been my review on Friday: The place was awesome, just like all the other reviews have said. We enjoyed everything about the cottage so much, we're not leaving! So, if you're next in line to rent, please bring extra food and drink for us. We'll stay out of your way as best we can, but the highback adirondack chairs are ours! Also, we get that great kitchen from 7-8 each morning. So, enjoy your stay…we know we will!

This location was perfect, just a quick walk directly to the water. The house was perfect for our family. It had a ton of charm and the kitchen was updated perfectly. Can’t wait to stay here again.
