Excellently located with great views

We stayed here for 3 nights and were blessed with amazing weather. The cottage is perfect in every way yes there are a lot of steps but it’s worth it. Gorgeous views from the terrace and a lovely wildlife garden at the back. Fully equipped with everything we could need. The birds were so tame and were happy to come and sit with you. We walked along to Porthmadog to eat out and tried Tafarn Pencei bar/ cafe near the harbour great pub food and well priced. The walk out the side gate up the hill gave us great views and a lovely sunset. Would love to go back and just wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks again

Fantastic, cozy home with great views. It’s worth the climb. Lots of hikes, good food, and relaxation at this wonderful cottage. You won’t be disappointed.

Lovely cottage in stunning location.

We were awed by the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. Plenty of pathways to explore and beach is just down the street. The house was comfy and when at home we kept the doors open (lovely weather) and enjoyed the robins and crows. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of accommodation.

Wonderful cottage with everything you could want or need. Comfortable, clean, excellent furnishing and the best view from both bedrooms, dining area and lounge. There are steep steps leading to this property which I managed but not for elderley people or people with mobility issues.

We had a fabulous stay at this wonderful cottage. On arrival, everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped - it had everything we needed for our stay. As others have noted - there are a LOT of steps up to the cottage, which I found a little challenging, especially on arrival bringing our belongings, food etc in, which took several trips and left me huffing and puffing, but we wouldn't have had the amazing view if the cottage wasn't located where it was, so the steps were a necessary evil! We were blessed with the weather and if I had to critise anything, then maybe a couple of comfortable sun chairs would have enhanced our stay, although there are wooden chairs and a wooden bench, so probs just me being picky. We spent quite a lot of time just enjoying the sunshine and the view, as well as exploring the coastal path and going down onto the lovely sandy beach. The host, Melanie, responded speedily to my correspondence prior to our visit and we had no reason to contact her during our stay. A very enjoyable and relaxing break. Thank you Melanie.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this comfortable and well-equiped cottage that has the most stunning view. The cottage is very well placed to explore Snowdonia and the beautiful beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

What a perfect location – great views of the estuary and coast, quiet, close enough to town for a nice walk yet far enough away for a quiet stay.

Great base from which to explore the beautiful peninsula. It's important to take the warning about the steps up to the property seriously as they are very steep.

Excellent property in an unspoilt village. Well equipped and very comfortable.

We had an amazing week staying at Graigwen. The house is ideal and the patio with the sea view was great. Borth Y Gest is a fantastic bolt hole with walks in every direction and some truly lovely beaches a vert short walk away. This is a place to be explored and appreciated. The only minor downside was not being away of the access to the property, this is by uneven steps without any handrails. Not a problem for anyone able bodied but a little challenging for my 92 year old father... that said there are walking sticks available for use and we used them to great effect. A great property in a beautiful location. The 2 cafes in the village are also worth a visit!

A beautiful house set in a lovely location with fantastic views across the bay. The house is lovely inside and we had a very relaxing stay

just lovely, ideal for us. The house was near to the port but as it was set back it was very private. We loved sitting admiring the views and watching the birds feed. Inside was perfect, adult friendly and just right for enjoying a rare child free weekend. thank you

Wir waren hier rundum zufrieden. Der Ort ist ruhig und idyllisch. Im Haus fehlt es an nichts, die Einrichtung ist hübsch und bequem, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Die Aussicht ist herrlich. Die Vermieter sind zuverlässig und sympathisch. Wir werden gerne zurückkommen und das Haus wärmstens empfehlen.

Fantastic views from the house change with the light through the day. The house matches the views ....perfect.

We stayed at the cottage over the new year. We were blown away with everything, from the cleanliness of the cottage, the facilities but above all the views!!!! It’s well worth the 49 steps, which we didn’t mind at all, as we needed to walk off all the festive foods we had eaten. The cottage is so cosy and homely, everything that we needed was considered and catered for, we ate in all 3 nights and the cooking facilities were perfect. We even got a little Welsh Bara Brith on arrival which was a lovely touch. We loved the location as it was only a short 10 minute walk in to Porthmadog and to the right was the coastal path where you can walk to Criccieth. I took my running gear and it was perfect for runners along the coastal path. Melanie was so accommodating with us and we are so grateful, overall this place is amazing and we can’t recommend it enough Shelley & Chris Jones

We spent our Christmas in this gorgeous property and can not fault it. The location was perfect. Amazing views, very peaceful (out of season will have made a difference as a lot of the properties looked like holiday rentals) however “The Moorings” restaurant was open 23rd and most of 24th Dec. and the “Sea View cafe”was open Boxing Day - (all with in a few minutes walk from the cottage) where we enjoyed a wonderful cooked breakfast. We had an amazing coastal walk on Christmas Day round to Black Rock Sands. The cottage was cosy, warm and very well equipped. It is a bit of a trek up and down the “49 steps” to the property, but a work out didn’t do us any harm (especially after the Christmas indulgences!) and the view once there is so worth it. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful, comfortable and relaxing property in a stunning location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this peaceful, comfortable and cosy home. The cottage is perfect and in a wonderful setting with views of the beach and the estuary and a woodland walk straight from the side gate! When we were snuggled up inside we had superb views of the village and many visits from the local wildlife community including a robin that was so tame he stayed 6 inches away as I replenished the bird seed which was also provided showing the thoughtfulness of the owners in their attention to detail. Decoration within the cottage was delightful with beautiful watercolours and a collection of quirky artefacts that made this holiday cottage feel like a home immediately.
