Location to the beach was great plus all the restaurants that are within walking distance. Dog beach was fun too. House is very private despite other attached homes, the area is also very quiet during the night. House was clean, cute, and comfortable. Downside. Jets start flying over about 5:30/6am. Bed was uncomfortable. If you allergies to cleaning supplies or detergent, be for warned. We had to use inhalers often due to sensitivity of the detergent used to clean bedding.

Cute beach bungalow close to the beach and Ocean Beach restaurants, but far enough to stay quiet. Quick and easy to get any where in San Diego quicky, it as quickly as you can in SoCal traffic.

I’ve never left a bad review in my life but this is absolutely necessary. The place is decent and clean. Location is great. HOWEVER , if you have to deal with the host at all, you’re in for a real treat because she is a huge b to say the least. I made a mistake and parked my car outside the garage (It was just me and my two babies- they fell asleep in the car so I had to carry them both inside by myself and there was absolutely no street parking at all so I didn’t have a choice but to park it there until they woke up. It wasn’t in anyone’s way and there was nothing saying I couldn’t) so anyways she called me and immediately had a terrible attitude and started talking to me like I was incompetent. Despite her rudeness, I kindly apologized and said that I would go out and move my car right away. Instead of accepting my apology and letting me go move my car she continued to be rude and question me nonstop - I tried saying sorry and that I was going to move my car like 4 times and she still wouldn’t stop trying to argue with me. I finally had to say “are you wanting to stay on the phone and argue with me? I’m a little confused on what you’re trying to achieve here” and her response was “I’m just FLABBERGASTED anyone would ever do something like this” Ok? Lol. I was so uncomfortable the rest of the trip I would never in a million years stay there again or recommend it to anyone. The bed is also hard as a rock. Trust me, Stay somewhere else.

We enjoyed the excellent location of this property, the responsiveness of our host, Katrina to the few questions we had, and the very clean and lovingly decorated living spaces-a roomy living room, with adequate eating area for two, a well-proportioned bedroom, and extremely comfortable queen-sized bed. The kitchen is convenient but small, complete with a generous amount of paper goods, cleaning items, dishware and cutlery, and even some extra coffee and spices. A small paring knife, a few more small spoons and a small sauce pan would have made the kitchen amenities even more complete. The bathroom was adequate with an excellent shower and water temperature, yet we would have appreciated a higher toilet seat. The host was also very generous with items such as shampoo and lotion. The heating system and the Direct TV were also plusses, as was the washer and dryer in our garage space.

Our stay was just perfect for my 2 sisters and I who were visiting for a family reunion. The only snag was we arrived after dark and the cleaning lady put the deadbolt on the front door so we couldn’t get in. Katrina was very prompt in replying and letting us know how to get into the place. Once we were in, we loved it. The place was clean and comfortable and the location is perfect. I would definitely recommend one of Katrina’s places. She was a wonderful host!

We have spent 5 days here in October 2023 and had wonderful time. The weather in San Diego was pleasant and the city is very nice with lots to see. And this little apartment is just in the right location if you want to go to the beach, take a walk on the pier or have a drink or a dinner on the Newport avenue. All just few steps away. The place is cozy, clean and well-equipped with everything needed for a short stay. The host was very responsive, helpful and patient. Thank you Katrina! Overall, we were very happy we could spend those few days there, relax and have a great time.

Loved the cute little beach bungalow. Everything in walking distance ( the beach and a spa:) And we spent lots of quality time with my daughter who lives in San Diego 😊

It is super loud from flight traffic, to the point you can’t hear each other or tv. But just from early morning once a minute til early afternoon. Then it slows down. Otherwise peaceful. Even then, not like we had all that much to say. Lol. On the beach the airline traffic was as often but not as noticeable. So just go for a walk. Good location. Responsive owner.

I really liked this place. It was pretty, very close to everything I wanted to see and do (beach is a block and a half away, stores and restaurants all short walks), it had parking, and it felt cozy and secure. My only tiny issues were that the instructions for the home are extremely detailed, which felt a little stressful, and the fee for a dog was more than I wanted to pay. There was a mandatory insurance fee, which I paid, and on top of that a significant fee, which I missed when booking because I assumed the insurance covered my responsibility (it popped up so you could not ignore it). By the time I was done I had paid more than I wanted to orginally pay for three week nights. In retrospect, it's not too far above market price for the home. It was walking distance to everything, it was very cute, and it was very clean. The AC does not reach well into the bedroom, I had to put it on very low at night to be cool enough. Having said that, I think the fee for weeknights is not reflective of what you will need to pay overall, so just keep that in mind. I would stay here again despite the issues that I mentioned.

Close to the beach; like 5-6 min walk! Katrina was so nice, and the property was safe, quiet and relaxing! We had a great time and would rent again! If you’re not sure where to stay…stay here!

This property is in a perfect spot, just a short walk to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants. Never had to move the car. It was also nice having a garage since street parking can be impossible. There is an outdoor shower which was very convenient. We had great time!

From excitedly booking, an easy check-in, to sadly leaving on my last vacation day, I cannot express enough how gratifying and lovely staying at 5084 Brighton made my trip. The home is sparkling clean, comfortable, and convenient to all Ocean Beach activities. One block to beach, a couple blocks to food, shopping, activities. Katrina provides everything needed for a great get-away. I parked a Toyota FJ-Cruiser in the garage- no issues. I will definitely return to enjoy again! Highly recommend : )

Great place and location! The courtyard is absolutely beautiful and the cottage was lovely.

We stayed the weekend at this charming cottage. It has everything you need for a great vacation in Ocean Beach: comfortable bed and living space as well as a full kitchen. The beach is a quick 2 minute walk and beach towels are available at the cottage. We walked to downtown OB for meals. While the unit comes with a garage parking spot, you might not even need a car if you don't mind walking and taking Uber/Lyft. We will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely love this property. The cottage was decorated so cute and colorful. We walked to the beach and two restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely come back to this VRBO if you’re looking for a Beach vacation do not hesitate to rent this property.

Cutest place on the block! Very colorful (outside and inside) with nice gardens and an outdoor shower to get the sand off. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. A bonus is having a garage as parking on the street is difficult. Close to everything - beach, restaurants and convenience stores.

This was about as welcoming and “homey” place as one could wish for. The distance to the beach was about 1/2 block. We will be returning often.

Great location. 5 minute walk to beach and restaurants. Cozy, comfortable and fun. Be forewarned.... the garage is tight. You may have a problem if your Vehicle is wider than my Ford Edge SUV.

The location was so perfect! Very detailed instructions were provided and made it easy to navigate the ally and garage access. The home is super quaint with attention to detail. We really did have everything we needed there, including beach chairs! The outdoor hose and shower were a great addition as we spent a good amount of time walking the beach and were able to remove the sand just before walking in the door. The house is small - but fit us perfectly! We love that area and very much enjoyed our cottage by the beach!

A darling little getaway, close to the beach and our favorite coffee shop. It had all the amenities we needed in a walkable, casual neighborhood!

I rented this cute little cottage for my daughter to stay while she was in San Diego for the Thanksgiving holiday. She had heard fond stories from me about growing up in Ocean Beach and wanted to connect with all the stories. Although it has changed in the last several decades, like all places do, she found it just as charming as I had described! This cottage is located one block from the beach and is within walking distance to all the cute little shops and restaurants. The cottage is a very petite one bedroom but full of charm! It's perfect for one person or a couple and has everything you need. I stopped by a couple of times to show her some of my favorite spots. Only complaint I had is that the wire attached to the gate latch is extremely sharp and poked myself every time I opened the gate. Ouch! Might want to replace that.
