The property was smaller than expected but newer floors, Kitchen and bathroom were clean and served our purpose. Sunday and Lars were fantastic and made our stay very comfortable!

Stayed here to visit with family nearby in November and it was lovely! Very clean and well-kept. Lots of thoughtful touches like a space heater, shower that converts to a steam sauna, (sometimes when cool enough) salt water pool, and a hot tub that could be heated as needed. The owners were very responsive and available during our stay. Cute, quiet neighborhood in the hills with some hiking trails in walking distance. Feels like being in Topanga Canyon. Love the spacious deck with a great view of the valley. The king bed is comfy for a rental (I always want a firmer mattress, but that's me!) Lots of closet space and drawers to put clothes and items in so you don't have to rummage around in a suitcase to find things. It's definitely on the smaller side, and the kitchen layout is a little funky, which isn't shown in the photos. It's challenging for more than 1 person to be working in the kitchen at a time. There's a breakfast nook with a table and 4 chairs opposite the fridge, and the wall of the bathroom is opposite the counter making the space tight. Closest parking is on a steep, unpaved, somewhat slippery road. Our car doesn't have all-wheel drive and it spun out a few times trying to back out, which was a little stressy until we got the hang of it. We also had a couple of older folks come to visit and walking down the road to get to our place was a little dicey for them. If the road were paved, it would make things easier! One very nice addition would be dimmer switches on the lights in the living room and kitchen (or lamps like the ones in the bedroom) for a cozier vibe at night. Overall a great place to stay in the valley! We'll definitely be back.

Well equipped kitchen. Very tight eating area in kitchen. King bed was very comfortable. Lots of storage for clothing. Large screen TV in living room with two couches. Lots of steps and uneven terrain-very bad for senior citizens. Pool was lovely but very cold. Hot tub was very nice. Pool deck had nice furniture but the 3 chaises were not in good shape. The house deck was large and lovely and nicely furnished. We had a number of delightful meals out there. The owners were available and very helpful. Property is adjacent to a huge deep ravine.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, quaint and homey feel about it. Great location, markets are within a few miles. The place is very quiet, lovely sleeping bed. I will look to stay here again when I come to LA for a visit!

My husband and I loved our stay at Paradise Cottage. Everything is as advertised, very clean with all amenities. Sunday and Lars are the perfect hosts; friendly and attentive without making their presence obvious. After a long day exploring and sightseeing the pool was wonderful to come home to. I especially loved the spa and steam shower, absolutely wonderful after long hikes. We loved our stay and hope to return to the cottage again.

Two friends and I stayed at the property for a week and both the location and space were perfect for our needs. The cottage was about a 40 minute drive to anywhere that we were interested in visiting (e.g., Malibu, Santa Monica, Hollywood), which made it a central location to stay. The space itself had everything we needed - the kitchen had sufficient utensils and cookware to make our meals, the private deck provided great extra space to enjoy the outdoors, and the pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The hosts were very responsive and were quick answer any questions that we had. I highly recommend the cottage to anyone who is looking for a quiet, convenient, and well maintained place to stay in the area!

We came for a long weekend for my USC immersion. We used to live in the valley and have friends and family that live there, so we were able to have them stop by and visit us. it was a nice place to call home base while in town.

Sunday and Lars clearly put a lot of thought into this home as you have everything you need. Amenities were provided including pool towels. It was great to have a pool and hot tub to ourselves. The location was nice near trails and parks, plenty of places to eat (within driving distance) and close enough to the beach. The only consideration I would mention is that a person with any walking disability would have trouble walking down /up a steep gravel incline to get into the property.

The location was excellent. The doors never locked but we never felt unsafe. The pool and amenities were excellent. Central to everything we wanted to do. AC ran beautifully. Would stay here again when in the area

My husband and I loved our stay. We did not want to stay in LA direct so woodland hills was perfect. The owners was super nice and responsive. Everything was there was needed including soap and shampoo, in fact if the airlines lost your luggage you would have everything you need except clothes. The space was great super quiet at night. Could not have had a better stay. Thank you so much!

We had a nice time staying at the cottage. The kids enjoyed the pool and the cottage has a huge deck. King bed was comfortable. We could have used a bit more room in the cottage for the 4 of us but much better than a hotel! Husband loved the steam shower!

The place is a gem!!! Meals on the deck, great time with our baby in what was practically our own saltwater pool, the steam shower was a real treat and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Super access to the main roads, grocery stores, etc. a short drive away, perfect starting point for scenic drives. We couldn’t have been happier. The hosts were absolutely helpful and responsive when we had questions, all done through texting. They had great suggestions for activities and even invited us to a dance, a local 4th of July celebration, and lent us folding chairs to watch the fireworks. The place was very clean and orderly and well equipped for prepping a quick meal when we weren’t eating out.

We stayed for 3 night, with my husband and 2 kids (21 & 17). Quarters are tight but very doable. We were out and about most of thw time but it was a great place to come home to and jump in the pool or hot tub after a long day of horseback riding or going to the beach. This is a shared space, meaning the owners live on the property. Saying that, the deck right out side is off by itself and allowed us to have family dinners and time to ourselves. The neighborhood is quite and safe. We particularly enjoyed the morning planning our day out on the deck. Very peaceful. We would recommend this spot to anyone.

A fantastic cottage in a beautiful neighborhood but still close to all the action! Very clean and great host! Host is very responsive and goes the extra mile. Our flights were significantly delayed and we arrived at midnight but the host waited up to be sure that we were able to get into the cottage and were well Pleased.

I’m an LA native who was looking for a nice staycation and this place delivered! Owners were responsive, place was clean and cozy, and the use of the outdoor areas was a huge draw. Would highly recommend!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Good place to rest, not for hanging out. There were a few areas of the property that concerned us. The deck wasnt as safe and secure as we saw fit, Things weren't easy to figure out how to use, without seeking instructions for like the wifi or shower. There wasn't as much privacy as we liked, felt obligated to communicate everytime we saw the landlord which was for our entire stay. We had to follow the renters instructions to a T when CHECKING IN, TENDING TO the property AND, CHECKING OUT. We were just looking for a relaxing getaway. We didn't even get to use the amenities that were advertised for use. Besides the spacious bedroom and cute living room I had to buy all the supplies to be able to cook, nothing was supplied or included without cleaning up after used per written instruction. I had to buy all plates, utensils and food. There wasn't even a baking sheet, or no written instructions for where things were located. No pool use, no pub use(game room), no spa, no sauna even though they were included in renters advertisment. we were asked not to use these amenities due to it being a liability and covid-19 risk despite ALL FAMILY vaccinated. Not worth the amount charged a all.I paid for scenery basically.

It was such a relaxing stay, enjoying the sunrise in the hills, the cottage was very cozy and peaceful. I loved that. It has everything you need. The cute little kitchen was fully stocked, the bed was very comfy, pool table was fun, overall it was amazing! I wish we could had enjoyed the pool. Maybe next time! I really enjoyed staying in the country away from the city but still close to everything. The owners are very friendly and right there for anything you need. Thank y’all for making a great start to our stay in California.

We had a restful time at the cottage. Sitting on the deck with coffee every morning started each of our days. The owners are so responsive and nice & you feel like you are in the middle of a forest.

Very cute little cottage in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the sf valley. Our hosts were very thoughtful. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable. When the weather cooled it was a bit drafty but a space heater helped. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Where do I start I’ll start by the owner of the property it’s a Scrooge you can have friends over you can listen to music there’s nothing to watch on TV literally the stuff I did there I could’ve gone anywhere else for no money they’re the worst host ever!!

We had a wonderful time at Paradise Cottage. Very clean and well appointed. Hot tub and pool table were very popular with 9 year old grandchildren. Hope to come again soon.

This place was cozy and quiet. During the day it’s in the shade which keeps the space cool and dim (great for a sleeping/napping toddler). We were able to enjoy the pool/ jacuzzi while our kiddo slept. It’s close to my mom’s but closer to the beach 🙂�. The kitchen is TINY! But it has everything we needed. I hope to stay here again next time we’re in the area.
