This was a wonderful place to stay. We went for a winter, family getaway for our 25th anniversary. We particularly loved sitting in the covered hot tub while it snowed around us! And there was so much to do inside and so much space, that our group of 18 never felt crowded. There were plenty of large beds and bathrooms to give everyone their own space. The place was beautiful and I particularly loved the attention to detail. Most questions were answered by little plaques on the wall, from directions to wifi to hidden treasures. The smallest comforts were taken care of. It’s the most thoughtful place I’ve ever stayed. The only advice I’d give to future guests would be to bring your own bottled water. The tap water is horrific, with a lot of sulfur. And while there is filtered water on both fridges, the water lines are inadequate and it takes 5 minutes to fill your bottle. Easier just to bring water and enjoy the rest this house has to offer.

We stayed here for our family Christmas get together. Having stayed at comparable cabins in Gatlinburg,TN this is a large, spacious house with plenty of rooms for all. It includes a very nice deck that wraps around the backside toward the lake. The bedrooms are nice and comfortable with attached bedrooms on 3 of the 6. The kitchen is has plenty of place settings, appliances and a double oven stove that made meal prep a breeze (a 2nd dishwasher would be lovely). The hot tub is very large and was comfortable, be sure to check upon arrival and we had a few error codes we were able to address without too much time lost. There are lots of little signs about that tell you how to handle things, but one is needed on the indoor fireplace, which is a large full wood model. Apparently you must light paper 1st, let it warm and draft into the chimney and then light the main fire, this was a smoky lesson that could have been avoided with a little instruction. The outdoor fire pit is also nice (no pre-heat needed) with very cool swings and lots of seating. While there is a path to the outdoor pit, the handrail ends at the house and the rest is a bit difficult for older family members. An added gravel path to the lake would be very nice as it's a bit uneven ground and challenging for some family members. Overall this is a great place to stay for some time away with family, it's close to town and to trail attractions, while being secluded on its own.

It was a nice place, but we were disappointed with level of cleanliness, condition of hot tub and some general maintenance.

Property was beautiful. The grassy grounds were not kept up with but the walkways were clear and the trails were clear. The Lodge was beautiful inside and out. Everything we needed was readily available and clean. The firepit area was so cool and NO MOSQUITOS! It was fantastic haha Beautiful place for a large family and so much to do!! Highly recommend! ❤️

This was perfect for our family of 19. The location is awesome, but the house and property surpassed our expectations. This is the best vacation home we’ve ever stayed at with our family. So many nice extra touches. Thank you. We will be back.

The house was perfect for our group - four couples with 7 kids ages 5-11. We were coming from three different states, reconnecting 22 year old college friendships. House was well stocked, plenty of space inside and out, beautiful views. The kids had so much fun fishing at the pond and hiking the property to the park. Excellent location, close to all Hocking Hills attractions. We would love to come back!!!

The host was prompt with the things we needed, this cabin had amenities that made all age groups happy. Beautiful view.

We had a great experience at this cabin, perfect for a special birthday celebration. Clean, well supplied, plenty of room. We had some problems with not enough available firewood, but our biggest issue was no internet, and despite everyone trying to help it was never fixed. That was a major communication problem for a couple who had to keep in touch with work and cellular dies not work very well in that area. It was a definite downside to what we hoped was a very special birthday celebration.

We had 10 adults and it was perfect for our getaway.

Great house. Massive hot tub and wonderful kids playground on the private property. Hocking hills state park was 10 mins away and beautiful!

We had 19 people there, and there was plenty of room for everybody. The kitchen was very well stocked. Plenty of seating! We had a wonderful time!

Great cabin for large families! Each of us adults had our own room with our own bathrooms. All the kids could be in one room together so it was perfect! The hot tub took a while to heat up so check that when you first arrive if you plan to use it. The house power turned off every half hour all day/night long (we were there during a snow/ice storm). Thinking that may have been why?!? Unfortunately when the power went out it took the TV 10 minutes to reboot each time. The house had plenty of wood to burn to keep us all warm and the large kitchen table was perfect for our Christmas dinner and hanging out. Would definitely consider coming back during the warmer weather to enjoy the outside of the property as well.

We had a great stay. The house was a great retreat for our family. The kids especially liked the game room. We will surely return.

This is a great property. We had a great time. Hocking hills is beautiful and such a short drive away, with fantastic trails. We loved the property and its ample space for every one to have their own bed. The game room was a huge hit. The giant couch was awesome to see the cousins just lounging together watching tv. The huge dinner table allowed us all to sit together for meals. The kitchen is adequate for meal prep as well. Grandpa's super hero park was a great place to play.

This place is probably the best short term rental we’ve stayed in. It was spacious, private, close to hiking, and relatively well stocked. They thought of so many little things, and had nice little signs everywhere that were very helpful. The arcade basement was absolutely awesome for the kids, and the hot tub was huge! The fire pit was a dream with the swings around it, and having access to the phenomenal natural playground was amazing. We are already booked to come back next year! A few minor complaints - the floors were filthy. You couldn’t tell from looking at them, but our feet were literally black after walking around for an hour or two. There was a keurig but no pods - not a huge deal but most places I’ve stayed with a keurig have the pods so we didn’t think to bring them. The hot tub had lots of debris… which can be hard to avoid in the fall but should have been cleaned out better before we got there. The arcade pinball machine was broken too which was a disappointment. Communication with the host couldn’t have been faster or more efficient and clear. I value that a lot when booking a property. Overall, I’d highly recommend and as previously mentioned, we will be back next year!

We came with 4 families. The lodge was so thoughtfully set up for families and kids of all ages. We absolutely LOVED the natural playground on the property! What a magical week in the forest.

Property was beautiful with great amenities. Tons of room and the fireplace was awesome. The only negative was the smell from the septic tank It was strong and ypu could smell it from all the decks.

This property was just what we needed. It had plenty of room for the kids to run and plenty of room to hang out as a family. This was the first of many vacations for us and we wouldn't hesitate to stay at this cabin again. It was well stocked and everything worked as stated.

It was all easy to reserve and check in. Everything was well stocked and more. House was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend and rent again. Outside landscaping was very unkept . Would of enjoyed fishing in pond but grass was high around area .

Three generations of our family get together every year. This was our 11th year in a row. We are happy to announce this was the best cabin for all ages. The six porch swings around the campfire, children's play equipment outside and well marked hikes on the property kept the children entertained for hours. The surprise scavenger hunt that was mapped out was a blast for all ages. The favorite for the children was the natural playground in the woods. The fishing poles were also used in the pond and was a nice surprise when the five and eight year olds caught their first fish. The adults loved the comfort of the beds, the cleanliness of the property, the extra items that were awaiting us in the kitchen and the bathroom being stocked with personal items and ofcourse the seating for the entire family inside and outside the cabin. The communication with the owner was also top notch! A FIVE STAR rating from our family.
