Property had everything to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Sitting on lanai watching the waves and sealife, and listening to waves was one of the best parts. The large kitchen table was great to have family meals at. The neighborhood was welcoming. Can't wait to go back.

The property is exactly as described by the owner. The new kitchen was great and the yard facing the ocean was very nice. We saw turtles almost every day. Also, Aki's beach a few houses down was a great place to see turtles on the beach at sunset every day. Only two negatives. 1) The house has a lot of ceiling fans but is still quite warm when the weather in in the high 80's. We came home to a 90-degree house almost every afternoon. It gets better in the evening, and we got used to it. 2) There is not much in the way of nice restaurants with 20-miles. If you want to cook yourself or eat at local places, it is great? We had some very good Thai and Korean food during our stay. Overall, we would stay again.

Good location for local beaches that are full of tourists!

This house was really good for my family and friends. The location is easy and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. Is literally 5 houses from Aki's turtle Beach small little area where the turtles are taking the sun and swimming in front of you. The communication with the owner was easy and clear all the time. The lady in charge of the keys (Lynn) was amazing, she was really nice and helpful with anything that we needed. My family really enjoyed staying in this place.

Know that you are in an area overrun by homeless people. Some people were watching us and broke in while we were out and stole thousands of dollars of our stuff. It put a damper on our vacation and left us terrified for the rest of our stay. I was incredibly disappointed that the owner didn’t even reach out after the break in to make sure we were okay. I had to initiate contact with him days after the incident. It was frustrating and poor etiquette on his part. Being right on the ocean was beautiful but I would never stay there or anywhere in that area again. We were told that the security cameras aren’t even functioning. The beaches in the area are not usable because of all the homeless shelters dotting the beach front. The location is far away from everything else on the island so it adds extra drive time to do anything.

We just love staying at this property in Makaha! The ocean views, the sea wall and the little cove down the way never disappoints. This is our third time and we just consider it our home away from home in Hawaii at this point! The property was as expected and in a quiet neighborhood close to many beachs. Great view of the ocean, sunsets and whales.

We were quite removed from Honolulu, which was absolutly fine. There was plenty of space to spread out and relax for the six of us. The house could have been a bit cleaner, but with the constant salt water spray, that might have been tough. The dryer was persnickety, sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But that was not a killer, in that there was a clothesline outside. Communication was fantastic.

Information received in advance was very helpful. Location and ocean front seating was wonderful! Property manager was attentive and helpful. The extras were unexpected and wonderful. Thanks!

Kathy & Sinclair we’re amazing Hosts! The house was everything it had stated in their post. My family & I enjoyed the backyard & the beautiful ocean front view! Kathy was so easy to keep in contact with & was so kind. When we got our confirmation, they sent us a thoroughly thought out email with everything from checking in/out, local spots to eat, beaches to check out, the history of the property & the neighboring properties as well & so much more! I just thought that was so well thought out. We hope this place & these people can also make your trip to Hawaii just as amazing as ours was.

This spot was perfect for a family vacation! The listing was spot on. You are right on the water, just a few minutes walk from a beach where you are literally swimming with sea turtles (but of course keeping your distance), and there is so much space to spread out in the house. The kitchen in really well-stocked. The property manager was incredibly responsive to every question or concern we had (for example, we discovered the coffee grinder broke and she insisted on driving over that night to bring us another one!). The location of this property is both a plus and a negative, so I'll just be up front about that. The plus - you are away from the heavy tourist areas, you avoid the rainier side of the island, you can feel like you're getting a local experience. The downside - if you want to get into the tourist stuff, you have to drive everywhere and it can take forever. We planned our Diamond Head hike for 8am on Monday - HUGE mistake. We had to leave at 6am and it took almost 2 hours to get there because of traffic. It also takes about an hour to get to the North Shore regardless of traffic. So just know that going in. I still think it was 100% worth it. The beach 5 minutes drive up the road was amazing. and just 15 minutes further....where the Space Force base is....gorgeous. Anyway, you don't have to drive to get your gorgeous Hawaii beach and surf experience! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it highly.

Paradise! Relaxation. An ocean in your backyard. If you want to get away to serene beauty and no worries, this is the place to stay. The house has everything you need for your vacation from snorkeling gear and boogie boards to coffee grinders and colanders. A spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, but the ocean waves crashing into the shore at your backyard is the best part. The only downside is that it is an hour drive away to go anywhere on the island...you're almost at the end of the road.

This was such a positive experience from the start. There was great communication, I knew what to expect. The house was perfect, exactly as described. The turtles didn't disappoint, we got to see them at the little beach a few houses down. It was so nice to be out of the city, away from all of the high traffic areas. We absolutely loved our time here. There were 9 of us and we didn't feel cramped at all. Everything was great!

This was an incredible place to stay. The proximity to Aki's Beach where we got to see multiple sea turtles sunning themselves on the sand and also in the water was amazing!

This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the crowd/tourists and if you want to spend time with your family and nature. This place is safe and has everything you need to enjoy an aloha vacations... oh and the sunsets are beautiful.

Property was great. It had a clear view of the ocean and a short walk to beach. Only negatives were long drive to any activities and no air conditioning.

The whole booking was very easy. Turtle Cove, just 5 houses down, is amazing. The waves on the nearby beaches hit the shore somewhat hard. My teens were okay but I watched some younger kids and some elderly folks really struggle getting in and out of the water. House was clean and well-stocked with pots/pans/plates etc. Fun place

Loved the house! The view is spectacular. It's quiet relaxing. It has three bedrooms and the front living room has two sofa beds. Kathy the property manager is so sweet! She greeted us with a hug and was always available. She periodically check in to make sure we didn't need anything. It was an amazing stay. I would definitely rent this property again.

This home had everything we could need and more. Our family enjoyed our stay here very much. The kids especially loved to explore the pillbox next door and the turtle beach a few houses down. Also, watching the ocean out back. You have to drive through a neighborhood that is a bit on the sketchy side, but the home was gated so there was no concern.

We loved our stay at this wonderful property. It was perfect for our group of nine. The view is amazing. We loved the sunsets every evening and getting up early with a cup of coffee to watch the waves. We saw turtles swimming by several times. At the beach just a few houses down we always saw turtles. It was perfect! The only downfall is the drive. But the house made it worth it!

Me and my family of 8 vacationed here for a total of 7 nights. 3 bedrooms with oversized king beds in each and two fold out couches in the living room accommodated all of us very well even though the rooms were a bit small. There is no air conditioning but with all the fans throughout the home and the constant ocean breezes I felt very comfortable most of the time. I loved just sitting on the balcony enjoying the ocean. The kitchen is spacious with a huge dinning table which will seat about ten people and is fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils, plates, glasses, etc. A table cloth would be nice though as the table is sticky I think from the salt air. tried a thorough cleaning but doesn't help. All in all we had a great time at this location with one exception. The entry gate is solar powered which is a good thing but it doesn't store the energy efficiently so it operates only during daylight hours. If you come home in the middle of the night you'll be locked out or want to leave before sunup your locked in.

This house had everything we needed for a perfect week in Hawaii. Beach toys, towels, snorkeling gear, kitchen supplies, etc. It was perfect for my family. And the view was unbelievable!

This is the first time that we ever rented though this app. Being at this place, brought back some childhood memories..... A big MAHALO to Sinclair and Iwalani for everything.

Loved the home and the location. Steps from a Amis beach and between 5 and 20 minutes drive to some of Oahus finest. Lots of utensils and well stocked kitchen. Enough towels and beach stuff for the whole family

The house was great. It is very roomy and perfect for my family. The property manager was very helpful and made us feel at ease immediately. We spent every evening sitting out back watching the sunset and then staring at the stars.

Everything you could want in a cozy ocean front home. The view was incredible. The house had everything you would need to be at home. There were extra beach items near the outdoor shower. There is also a wonderful private beach a few houses down that my kids learned how to snorkel in. There was also a lovely sitting area at the property beach wall. We enjoyed watching the turtles swimming and the crabs crawling along the lava rocks as the surf continually danced along the rocky reef. We loved it!

Beautiful waking up to a glorious sun rise, birds singing, waves lapping against the rocks, and the smell of coffee in the kitchen, being made by a family member. We were all smiles in this family vacation rental. The house was just right, homey enough, and room to accommodate all the different ages we had in the family. The kids loved the green grass in the large back yard to play in. The adults took in all the splendor of the waves, patio chairs and BBQ grill. We took many pictures of the changing skies when the sun would set. Hues of pink, golden yellow, red, whippy whites and blues. Nice vacation home for large families with varied ages. The only low point is the downstairs unit is a bit warm and muggy, micro-wave blew a fuse. Luckily it happened the night before we departed. We all as a family would highly recommend this home for your next family vacation..
