Love this property!

We’ve stayed here three years in a row, love the location and all the space for our extended family group. There are some maintenance issues that need attention, such as the sliding door to the patio not locking and the screen being broken, the cabinet in the kitchen being broken and swinging off the hinge, two of the fireplaces not working, etc…but, overall, we do like it here and the location can’t be beat. Just a little TLC is all it needs!

The views from this home were breathtaking all week!! We absolutely loved it! The beds and furnishings very comfortable. The master shower and tub are incredible. Plenty of space to put all your belongings. Two living areas so it was very comfortable. Gualala point was the biggest beach and very close 5-10 min drive. Cooks beach was walking distance and perfect! There are lots of trails closeby to hike and have picnics. From the home you don't feel so close to the beach that you feel like you're on a cliff but NOTHING is in the way of your view to see the beach or walk right over. This was the perfect stay. Out and away from hustle bustle...very peaceful. All the stars were in view at night on the clear nights. A couple small grocery stores are in Gualala 2-5 min away. A one screen movie theatre up near point arena light house. The light house had incredible views. It was only a few hours up to the large growth redwoods in Humboldt State Forest. The coast had a lot of turns and mountains in areas so be ready to drive carefully and small cars are probably easier but honestly we got used to it and drove the whole thing in a huge expedition so its all safe and doable just new to people driving in mountains and on bluffs. We are definately coming again. The home was perfect. Very large balcony. Wonderful views. We even brought Granny who is 90 and she loved it! There are stairs so we just held her arms and she walked them. She loved the views from the home and we had SO much fun playing with the kids on the beaches!

The views

This house has everything you want for a weekend away and a base to explore the Mendocino Coast. A lovely layout with big bedrooms that are well separated and very quiet it's ideal for a multi-couple getaway. Great bathrooms great kitchen and world-class view of the ocean. Plus it's on a quiet side street only a mile or two from town so convenient but incredibly quiet. Like any rental, a thing or two was broken while we were there. Vacasa generally updates you on these before you sign so just pay attention. The dishwasher was broken for us and there is no telescope. Overall an outstanding value with excellent beds and dining set up

Very private, large, comfortable house with great separate facilities for 3-4 couples. Spacious kitchen with some gaps and uneven quality in utensils, pots/pans etc. Lots of deferred maintenance; be ready to wash your own dishes as the dishwasher is down to its last drawer, and it’s leaking.

Pictures are not recent, location is quite remote and does not offer much as far as food locations. It’s a lovely town and we had a good time but not what we were expecting.

We came to this new home to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. We enjoyed this place very much. The decorations were beautiful and the views were nice. Everything was conveniently located which made it easy to get where we need to go and back at a decent time. The only down fall was the dirty cup with lipstick still on it and trash under the chair in lower level room. The back door was very hard to open. The most of the windows would not open. The fireplace wasn’t working properly. Thank you

We love this property. Our second stay. Hope to enjoy many more. We appreciate such a great property made available at this price point. Great value. Please keep it that way and we will return many times.

The views of the ocean from three sides of the house are stunning! The house is big with plenty of room to spread out. A five minute walk to the beach. The house was clean and readily prepared for our arrival and check in and check out was a breeze. Some minor issues with screen, doors, and windows, not opening easily or at all. The house has quite a few needed handyman type repairs that could probably all be taken care of in a couple of days. The views and location make this house so over the top wonderful that it is still a five star rating even with some minor issues.

We loved the view of Cooks Beach and being able to walk to an ocean beach without having to get in the car...

The views from nearly every seat in the house are stunning! The floor plan is smartly done, providing lots of space to spread out and plenty of "cushion" between every bedroom and bathroom. With the large deck off to one side, the picture windows also provide unobstructed views over the entire length of the house. Secluded and private location up on the hill. Just a very special place to enjoy some peace and beauty in a busy world.

The views were stunning. Need was comfortable. No instructions were available for the tv & 4 remotes. Fireplaces not functional. Garage door opener does not work from outside. House is not in the meadow as pictured, but across the street. The big issues still unresolved, is that i changed the arrival date immediately after booking, yet still have not received a refund for the extra paid day

If you are looking for amazing ocean views and the calming sound of the ocean, this is it! The house is beautiful and welcoming. My kids and I absolutely loved the location, the house and the total experience. We can’t wait to return.

This home was gorgeous and large. Another family could have joined us.

This was our second time to enjoy this home. It was clean, bed comfortable. 190 degree view of the ocean and beach access very close. TV updated since our last visit and it was splendid! You have access to anything for which you have an account. The home is very spacious, but we were just 2. The downstairs is like an apartment, even has its own access. We enjoyed watching the sheep across the street, they do everything in a clump. The weather was perfect! If I owned this wonderful home I would keep the yard trimmed and perhaps have an umbrella to put up on the deck. I would put a nice area rug in the living room...it would look nice and absorb some of the echo. I would definitely update the kitchen pots, pans and wine glasses. It would be challenging to accommodate 6 people with what is there. I am not complaining, just making suggestions. We love this property and would come back again for sure.

This is an amazing house! The view undeniably is incredible. This house needs some love...landscaping/yard are WAY overgrown (you have to duck under an overgrown tree to get to the front door), door locks/latches don't work and some doors were completely unopenable, garage keypad (secondary entry) is non functional, windows don't open (trust me you WANT to hear the Pacific waves on the shore), no telescope as in photos, binoculars were broken, several burners on stove don't light, carpet is disgusting (sorely in need of replacement). Again, this is an amazing house, but I feel we way overpaid given the condition that it's in.

The house itself is in a lovely location, with a gorgeous view of the ocean from almost every room. The bones and layout of the house are also great. That alone made the trip great. But the house was incredibly dirty. Dirty pans, dirty windows, food all over the floor in the downstairs (popcorn pieces, and chunk of hald eaten tortilla, a dirty sock, and empty plastic bottle), dust and grime under the beds, dust on many of the blankets, a small pull out futon full of crumbs, pieces of little trash here and there, uncleaned windows that compromised the view, and on and on. I have 20 plus pictures. Also, the kitchen is set up with just a hodgepodge of pots and pans stored in a completed disorganized way, knifes that have not been sharpened in years, non-functioning gas fireplace in living room, several lights that didn't work... The place is just poorly cared for. They offered a $75 reduction on the cleaning fee, which was a very small compared to what they charge. We had a great time regardless, but for what was a very expensive place , to have the house so poorly cared for was incredibly disappointing.

The two other bedrooms besides the master are not queen beds but full. Besides this the place was all it looks to be! I would have given it 5 stars if not for advertising the full as queens beds.

Very spacious and beautiful views.

We enjoyed seascape and found it just as advertised and as gorgeous as the photos. Coming in and out of the garage was a plus. There are several burned out bulbs in the master bath that should be fixed. The kitchen needs more wine glassses and bowls.

This house was wonderful. The floor plan is great. Unfortunately, the owners or property management isn’t keeping this house up. There were spiders in a lot of the corners in the house. Dust, cobwebs and dead bugs throughout the house. The kitchen cabinets were sticky from food build up. There was ice cream dried up in the side coffee table. The couch was dusty in the corners and sides. The gutters are full of dirt, leaves and composit from the roof shingles. I have some pictures to show what I’m stating. I would stay here again but I hope the house would be cleaner. The cleaning fee is expensive and the owner isn’t getting this house cleaned. Light housekeeping is what is happening along with bed changing. This house needs a deep clean. If you are looking for a clean house, this isn’t your house. The patio area is wonderful and the view of the ocean is breath taking. It was warm and the umbrella in the garage was busted. It got too hot to enjoy the patio without an umbrella. The fireplace in downstairs bedroom didn’t work.

I was worried about the cleanliness after reading some of the reviews but no, it was all very clean and the windows were also very clean! No problem seeing the beautiful views! We loved it and were very happy to stay, thank you!

Loved the views and location. We were fortunate that the weather couldn’t be beat! Some amenities in the house need work - fireplaces don’t operate, no sharp knives and cable box in main room is not operational. Somewhat disappointing that check-in is 4:00, but we had to be out at 10:00…

Gorgeous views! Spacious living. Great separation of space in the home and very comfy/cozy home. Perfectly wonderful to just wind down, destress, and enjoy the view. Sea, whales, seals, sea lions, deer. Beautiful and remote!

the property is gorgeous but the windows need a cleaning. what could have been outstanding views were obscured by very dirty windows. we've lived on the coast and recommend the windows be cleaned at least once a month. hope vacasa can change this.
