The property was very nice and well maintained. Has an amazing view of the water. Property owner had quick response time to inquires. We would definitely stay here again.

We over everything about the property. It was clean, owners were friendly, and the lake was great! Close to town but not right in town and was quiet. We will be back!

Had a nice lake view

Split floor plan with plenty of space. Kitchen/bath towels were quality, furniture was comfortable, windows provided a beautiful view, and gas provided hot water fast. Nice covered porch to watch the sunset, water, and/or birds fly by. The owners are super friendly, and check-in was easy. Our overall stay was very nice. A couple things to mention: the driveway is steeeep, minimal pots and pans, be careful on the rugs they slide easily, for parents with kids.. the pier doesn't have kid friendly hand/guard rails, and minimal privacy at night as you can see through the windows when the lights are on.

This lakeside cottage was perfect as a home base for a quick weekend fishing getaway. The private dock and sunset views were perfect for a quick, relaxing weekend away!

The cabin was very clean and well furnished. We enjoyed the dock. Unfortunately, the fish weren’t biting during our stay. The only comment I would make is the driveway is extremely rough and parking was difficult. But overall we enjoyed our stay. I loved that the cabin had a washer and dryer as well.

Amazing cottage, super clean and nicely nested in a great neighborhood with lots of stores and places to go. The owners couldn’t be more helpful and gracious towards us, super eager to help and ensure everything is smooth throughout the process. My wife and pups had a great time at the cottage. I 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice and peaceful place to vacation and enjoy life, can’t wait for next summer to come back again, Thank you so much Mark and Gigi!!! Nice tucked away location with a great view. Most basic needs were met and made for a relaxing 4 days.

Nice location on the lake.

The Captain’s cottage itself was great. The description said there was room for a boat trailer which there was as long as it was disconnected from the truck. There is no boat slip. We tied up to the dock but there is so much boat traffic on the lake our boat took a beating. Had to go to Lowe’s to buy ropes and poles to tie the boat up. Also, there is not much room to turn a full size truck around. If our neighbors had had more than one Vehicle with them it would have been almost impossible. If you are going without a boat, this is a very quaint comfortable cottage. We weren’t able to find a place that rented boat slips by the day. My husband worried the entire trip the boat would break loose and float away. This place is great if you want to just hang out by the lake or maybe rent a boat.

We stayed here for a girl’s trip. We had a wonderful time and the cottage was perfect for the two of us. We watched the sunrise every morning from the dock. We laid in the lounge chairs every afternoon and watched the boats go by. We brought floats with us and tied off from the dock. We floated there for hours, it was so nice. We were close enough to Hot Springs to drive in every morning for some hiking. We will definitely be back.

We loved the location and the house was cute and comfortable. The front yard was amazing and the view was spectacular. We will definitely be going back as soon as possible.. I guess if I have a negative it would be that we needed more utensils and pans in the kitchen, (pizza pan, cutter, baking dishes and frying pans) But for the average person it probably has enough but we love to cook big meals so could of used more pans and spatulas.

We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat and seeing the sites. The rental property was very nice. Mark and Gigi were wonderful hosts.

When I checked in, the only coffee in the cabinet was decaf, saw no soap, shampoo in restroom for the shower. Bed was stiff, didn't let me sleep well. Would not recommend this one, my family members were all on 5 points rd, there cabins were much better, comfortable.

We absolutely loved this house and the view! We are already planning our stay next year!

Clean quiet restful cabin. Nice decor comfortable beds ( double and a queen). 1 bath with plenty of towels.

The pictures and description of the property were accurate and the view of the lake was relaxing from inside as well as outside from the large deck.The cottage was decorated nicely with a lake cottage theme. Not mentioned in the listing was the fact that the driveway is very steep, narrow, and bumpy. There were some issues with the cleanliness as there was food left in the kitchen sink, the microwave needed cleaning, and the unit needed a good spring cleaning inside and out. On a safety note, there was only one smoke detector in the cottage which was located in the bedroom off the kitchen. The bedroom near the front door did not have a detector nor did the rest of the cottage. We like to cook and the kitchen lacked some basic items like a cutting board, measuring cups, and cooking utensils like large spoons, spatulas, and ladles. We were reminded in messages from the owners to keep our dog on a leash when outside and to clean up after it. Yet numerous dogs from other cottages on the property were allowed to roam freely and their owners did not clean up after them. I was constantly having to clean up after their dogs so I wouldn't step in something. There was also a large amount of broken glass at the end of the carport.

The property was clean and tidy. The location was perfect (lakefront). The only two negatives: There were many flies inside the cottage when we arrived (which needed to be swatted), but there seems to be some entrance through which every once in a while another one would come in. Also, the mattress was a bit too soft for us. Otherwise, this was great, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying here! Hosts were very easy to communicate with and we enjoyed waking up to the view of Lake Hamilton every morning. Would definitely stay here again

We have stayed there several times and always enjoy it. It is clean, comfortable, convenient and we have encountered no problems. We enjoy the views from the house as well as the dock. We will stay there again.

My overall impression of this property is that it's wonderful. I spent my childhood summers on a different part of Lake Hamilton, so I was curious to see what it was like in this location. It did not disappoint. The host was friendly and helpful in every aspect. The cottage contained everything we needed from cutlery to wi-fi. It was in a quiet area. The décor was lovely. The furniture comfortable. The bed was fantastic. The dock was perfect for fishing. It was too cold to swim, but from my experience, I know it would be a great place to swim. There are steps leading into the lake as well as a ladder on the dock. The dock has railings except on the front which would be ideal to dock a boat if we had rented one. I really look forward to staying there again.

Captain’s Cottage is delightful! Except for our groceries and personal bath items everything was furnished. The location is perfect, with an incredible lakefront and fishing and boating dock. We were able to drive to attractions quickly. Our only caution would be the steep hill that goes down to the cottage. Very drivable down, but pretty steep to walk up. We had our dog with us, and she requires exercise several times a day so we trekked up and down a lot. Walked off all the calories from the delicious restaurant meals!

The cabin was located in a quite neighborhood on lake Hamilton. It was convenient to hiking trails as well as down town Hot Springs. Our dogs enjoyed the lake.
