My wife and I wanted to make her sister's first trip to the United States memorable. Those 3 days were amazing. We did Maid of The Mist, Cave of the Winds, and were able to walk over to the Canada side which my sister in law was not expecting. The little town of Olcott was perfect for us. It was my first time meeting my wife's family and a blessing for sure.

Great cottage! We had plenty of space for 4 adults and one child, it was close to to the marina, very clean, and well-maintained property. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable Olcott/Newfane getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was decorated very cute with a beachy feel. It’s a small house but they definitely use the space wisely. The yard was great for relaxing, and the house was well stocked . They had all of the necessities. Garbage bags, paper towels, coffee, laundry detergent etc. There is a dollar general right next door. Olcott beach is a short walk and there is a few cute shops and restaurants, but the place was a ghost town Thurs when we were there: Sounded like there was more going on during the weekend but we were unable to go. The drive to Niagara Falls was about 40-45 min. There’s a few wineries in the area along with some u-pick berries and cherries . A park right down the road has a splash pad, b-ball, volleyball, and a few playgrounds which was great for my 6 yr old. The only thing I could recommend is to upgrade the frying pans. I did try to contact the owners twice via the Vrbo app and once via cell, I but did not hear back. Not sure if it was due to cell service or not: we had several issues with our cellular service all weekend. Overall it was great and we would stay here again

Perfect cottage for relaxing and sightseeing. We loved going to Niagara Falls and then coming back to the quiet of Lake Ontario and Olcott Beach. The house has everything you need and the hosts are super responsive to any questions!

We always enjoy staying in Olcott. This was walking distance to the lake and the Lakeside shops. Dining options were close and varied in Newfane, Barker, and Olcott.

Located in a quiet neighborhood which is a beautiful thing. The house was well maintained, just the right size for 4 people comfortably and close to the beach and entertainment. Certainly worth it. I’ll be looking to book there again next time I’m up that way for an annual fishing trip.

Nice cottage renovation for the area, many comparable properties listed are not renovated. Any little thing was easily figured out by the house instruction book and the owners responded quickly to an issue with the dryer. We will definitely look for this one first for next year.

Our stay here was very comfortable and homey. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer which was incredibly convenient. It’s location is perfect for walking to the lake and downtown Olcott. Perfect for families or someone looking for a peaceful vacation!

My husband and I as well as our 2 kids aged 13 & 2 enjoyed our stay at Laketown Cottage for a short family mini-getaway (3 nights), only 2 1/2 hours from home. Olcott is a charming little town and we loved walking around the shoppes and our littlest loved the Carousel Park which we visited when we arrived on Sunday since it wasn’t open during the weekdays. We’ve stayed at a few different vacation homes in various areas over the last 15 years in Cape Cod, MA and staying here reminded me a lot of being the Cape. Laketown Cottage is beautifully decorated with modern coastal decor and makes you feel relaxed and right at home. It was the perfect size for a family of 4. My favorite room in the house was most definitely the living room, with it’s gorgeous fireplace. I also enjoyed sitting on the front porch with my coffee and a book in the morning. Another great stay here! Love the yard space with the hammock and fire pit, and the new addition of the porch swing. Perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the cool lake air of Lake Ontario. Perfect walking distance to everything this cute little town has to offer in the summer. See y’all again soon!

We spent the long weekend in Olcott. We visited Niagara Falls and Olcott offered the perfect beach and Carousel Park for our kids. This house was perfect for us. The kids even had their own beds and space to run out in the yard.

Rented the lake house for a fishing weekend out of Wilson. The house was super clean and updated! Comfortable beds and furniture. Looking to come back with my wife for a winery weekend later in the year!

We came up to fish, we were 10 minutes from the dock. It was a very nice trip, the accommodations were awesome.

Tv broken, shower does not drain properly, oven when turned on smells horrible. Broken tiles in floor cut my feet. Unit was clean I give it that but basic things like shower, tv, oven and broken tile and warped floor plunge this review to the floor
