We're originally from the Ventura County area and our family (parents, 4 adult kids, & a ten year old) needed a home base, while we arranged a family funeral in Oxnard. Despite the crazy CA winter weather, everything was safe and warm in the house. We really appreciated the stay!

The house was as advertised. There are a lot of stairs… We could tell from the pics that’s it’s kind of a split level style. It’s very dated and the shower head in the bathroom needs replacing. But it was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen and lots of towels in bathroom. The master bed was very comfy but it’s up high on a platform. There are step stools to get in and out and it can be a little tricky/narrow for the person near the windows. The walk to the beach is quick and the beach itself is quite wide and nice. We had to pull the couch out from the wall a bit because there is a weird ledge there and 3 or 4 people thumped their heads on it when going to sit on the couch. But overall it is a great value and the location was perfect for us. We would stay again!

We enjoyed our stay while visiting family. The house was comfy and had everything we needed. Close to beaches and the harbor. We spent most if our beach time at Silverstrand beach. Looking forward to another stay.

It has 2 bedrooms. One room has a full sized bed with a bunk bed on top of it so you cannot sit up in this bed. It is very comfortable. The other bed is also comfortable but you have to climb a step stool to get in it. Everything worked fine and fully supplied with everything you could need. Everything is gently used but I did not care since it was just a place to sleep and watch TV at night. It was night to have a washing machine and dryer as well. If we ever get near there again, I definitely would rent it again. The 2 TVs in the bedrooms are very old but the newer one in the living room was a HDTV so we were fine. Thank you.

Home was nice, well furnished and in an extremely convenient location to shopping, restaurants and accessing the Channel Islands ferry. Would highly recommend it!

Nice residential neighborhood just a short walk to the beach. Two comfy beds and an uncomfortable futon, plus a rollaway and top bunk we couldn't use due to weight restrictions. That didn't matter because we had an amazing vacation! Cooked breakfast and dinner and enjoyed local lunch spots while touring the area and relaxing together. Quality family time away - priceless!

Fantastic!
Perfect location for us. We enjoyed shopping both in Oxnard and Ventura, and eating at Toppers Pizza and Sea Fresh in Oxnard and Rice by Mama Thai in downtown Ventura. My husband enjoyed playing tennis with a mixed group of 10 at the Oxnard Tennis Center, and finally we enjoyed a surfing lesson and excursions to the beach! We recommend this property.

Close to Beach
Plenty of room for the five of us. Nice to have room to spread out instead of being stuck in a hotel room. We had a cookout, walked to the beach numerous times, and it was centrally located for places we wanted to visit. Felt like home!

Had a good stay
Location was good and close to Ventura Harbor, which is where we needed to go to get on our Channel Islands boat. The place was also very close to the beach, however, we did not have enough time to explore walking to the beach.
The house was comfortable, had several books, games and TV options for the kids to entertain themselves. Host was responsive to questions we had.

Convenient to shops, restaurants, beaches, and harbors. The property manager is responsive to questions and requests. Only drawback is that the property is a little old. But for the price we pay, I think it is still good.

Beach House Stay
Short walk to a lovely beach. Comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price. Road noise may bother light sleepers. Host provided everything we needed for a multi-day stay.

Cozy mini va-cay by the Beach
The condo has a nice 3-tiered open layout which is very nice. it is cozy and quaint and walking distance to the beach. It had all the amenities that we needed. The natural sunlight with the many windows makes it a bright and cheery place. Would definitely recommend!

The Palms at Mandsalay Shore
The condo had everything you could need and then some! It was conveniently located to Parks, beaches and shopping. The seperate spaces allowed spaces for the adults , teens and little ones without being right under each other at all times. The boys loved the bicycles and rode all over town! We highly recommend it and will definitely look forward to staying again in the future!

My Stay at the Palms
Overall, it was very nice....comfortable. Relatively close to so much. My only complaint is that the place had an issue with Ants, despite our keeping the place clean and free from food left out. However, a call to the Owner and she got right on it and had her pest control guy out to spray. Despite the Ant issue, the stay was very nice. The neighbor was friendly and we had a wonderful time. I would return....

Easy, relaxing, & fun location & unit!
JP made the whole process very easy to enjoy this VRBO unit- we had a fabulous trip: zero issues, everything was very smooth and functional. I was especially pleased with the location- walking distance to the beach, a coffee shop, and brewery; a short drive to the grocery store, town, and the freeway. The unit is clean, comfortable, and well-outfitted with everything you could need. Easy parking, quiet neighborhood, and just good times all around. I would recommend with no hesitation to anyone needing a temporary home away from home in the Oxnard/Ventura area!!

Comfortable and Accomodating
We lost our house in the Thomas Fire. JP was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The town home was spacious for our family of five. Two adults, one child, and 2 small dogs. It had a great fenced in back yard for the dogs. It was close to everything in Oxnard Shores and well maintained.

We found the owner very nice. However, the house does not have air conditioning which made our stay uncomfortable. Also, the nearby beach is not very pretty. You should also know that the sea is filled with oil that stain clothes. We made the decision to enjoy the beaches of Los Angels despite a long daily commute.
For the rest, the house is well equipped.

The place was clean and centrally located to the things we wanted to do. The Channel Islands, The Ventura Botanical Garden, Lake Casitas. It can get a little noisy from the cars out on Harbor.
