Couldn't have found a better holiday villa. Perfect position, facilities cleanliness and just wonderful

Micheal was wonderful. Villa excellent location for relaxation and celebration. Flies were annoying but Michael did all he could to reduce annoyance. Highly recommended

My family and former exchange students stayed at Stone Castle Villa for a week vacation and it was perfect! There were 15 of us, 4 kids ages 2-10 and 11 adults. There were plenty of bedrooms (and bathrooms) and enough space for us to spread out and not be on top of each other. We hired a private chef who used one of the kitchens while we used the other kitchen for breakfast/lunch items. The location was great as we could reach the basics by walking – a small corner store and beach – but jump in our cars to head to cafes, sandy beaches, or a 30-45min drive into Athens. Michael was a wonderful host and was very responsive! Several of our group arrived prior to check-in time and hung out by the pool as the cleaning staff was readying the rooms. Michael provided snacks and drinks, walked us through all of the “to knows” about the villa, and even showed us recommended things to do on a map. He continued to check in through our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and provide additional recommendations on things to do/places to see. This was the perfect rental for our vacation – allowing us to go on day trips to explore but having a beautiful home base with a large outdoor table for all of us to relax and catch up! Would highly recommend both the villa and working with Michael!

Stone Castle Villa is better than you can imagine! The moment you arrive to see the beautiful architecture of the home and the breathtaking view, you won’t want to leave. Michael was there with warm greetings and explained everything we wanted to know. He was a wonderful host and now our friend. We rented a car to get around and that worked out well for day trips, runs to the store and to and from the airport. We picked up an inexpensive snorkel and mask and walked down to the incredible clear warm sea several times to swim off the rocks. Most of the time we ate fresh fruit, vegetables and cheese by the pool while taking in the view. The beach bars are 10 minutes away and offer two chairs and an umbrella with service for about 15 euros a day. Easy drive into Athens. We ate at the Argentinian restaurant a few times enjoying the grilled lamb and fresh Greek salads. There is little store at the end of the street you can walk to for any necessities. If your looking for a relaxing place to stay with friends or family away from the bustle of the city, this is the place. Thank you Michael for sharing your incredible home with us. We couldn’t fault our stay. We were welcomed with a tour by Michael and he was on hand if ever there was an issue. Stunning villa and location. We had an amazing stay and would definitely consider returning.

We absolutely loved staying at Stone Castle Villa! After seeing the beautiful pictures of the villa online, we decided to book it for a week and it exceeded all our expectations! Our three-generation family loved staying here!! We had plenty of room, the views are gorgeous and we really enjoyed the pool. The house had every amenity that we needed. We also liked the neighborhood. We spent time in Athens and other cities, but loved coming back to the quietness of this area after a busy day. Michael was very accommodating throughout the entire process. Michael was very easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions we had. I asked him for recommendations for a chef and a tour guide, and he gave us names for both. His recommendations were wonderful!! We cannot say enough good things about this villa and our stay in Greece! Thank you Michael for making it such a wonderful vacation for our family!!

Michael, the host, was outstanding! He helped with directions to the villa, was there to greet us (even though we were late), and provided us with recommendations for eating, transportation, and sightseeing. He was always available through text for anything we needed. The home itself is one of a kind! The stonework is gorgeous, the layout and location great! The Villa is actually two almost identical homes connected by a covered porch and pool, with a separate guest house …. Plenty of room for family and friends! Anything you could possibly want is included in the Villa …. huge tables, MANY outdoor lounges, chairs, beach towels. It was truly a great place to unwind and enjoy our first time in Greece. We spent two weeks there in early June, and the weather was delightful, with a constant breeze throughout the day and evening … no need for air conditioning, although it is available in the bedrooms. Marathon beach was nearby, with delightful places to eat right on the beach! A small food purchase actually comes with shaded lounge chairs to spend a delightful afternoon by the sea! Of course, there are several other beaches within 5 minutes to also enjoy. Since we spent two weeks there, the Villa was cleaned between weeks, and they, too, did an outstanding job! The washer provided was a great bonus! It is hard to put into words how much we enjoyed our stay! Next time we may stay for a month!

Beautiful villa overlooking the sea with magnificent views from multiple locations. Our family of 19 had an amazing time at the villa. Would definitely return another visit.

The Stone Castle Villa is phenomenal and Michael is an amazing host. The villa is in a quiet area of Marathon but convenient to Athens and numerous other points of interest. We highly recommend staying here!

Eleven of us stayed her for five nights. It was everything we hoped it would be and much more. There was plenty of room for all of us. Everything was as described. The views of the Aegean Sea are amazing. The pool was lovely. The neighborhood is quiet and serene. It's an easy drive from the airport, but you do need a car as it is somewhat remote. The host, Michael, was so gracious and helpful. We were celebrating my 50th birthday, and I couldn't have asked for more. I highly recommend this property for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I hope to come back again someday.

What a great four generation family trip at the Stone Castle Villa!! It was perfect for both young and old with all the space and amenities. Michael was an amazing host and connected us with local restaurants, travel guides and tours. We will never forget our trip to your beautiful home and Greece!

this villa was better than I could possibly have expected. the host couldn't have been more helpful and our 2 weeks was a little piece of heaven.

The verbo listing was inviting enough for us to commit a year in advance and we were certainly not disappointed. Communication with the host was clear, quick, and helpful.

We were a party of four families; 8 adults and 10 teens/children. We had the most wonderful week in the lovely Stone Castle Villa. It exceeded our expectations by far! The view of the ocean from practically all rooms and patios is spectacular. Beyond the beautiful, spacious and homey house we also got to experience a five star host in Michael. He is attentive, kind and very service minded. Any and all requests we had, Michael fulfilled. The location of the villa is perfect; a couple of minutes by foot to take a morning dip in the blue ocean, and a few minutes drive to a beautiful sandy beach and some nice taverns serving tasty Greek food. We can highly recommend staying in the Stone Castle Villa, and hope to come back soon.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and enjoy the area. Stunning views and lots of space inside, the villa is a beautiful place to relax. Michael was a great host as well and gave us all the info we needed from the outset to make the most of the local area!

House was everything that it promised to be and Michael was indeed exceptional host with great communication skills and he also shared lots of nice tips about the area. We had 15 people between 5-65 and everyone had great time. You won't be dissapointed if you end up renting this house for your Greek vacation. We also had private chef (from vhef Nicolas) for one dinner, whose info we got from Michael and I can warmly recommend also his services.

This house can comfortably accommodate six couples and three to four children depending on their ages. The owner is wonderful to work with and helped us tremendously to find local resources for shopping and to make arrangements for transportation in the area. If you are looking for a villa with beautiful views where you can comfortably relax with family and friends, this is the perfect place.. There are beach facilities and restaurants about a 15 minutes drive away.

We had a Keto Mediterranean retreat at the villa and everything was more than perfect! If you know the area, and don’t mind being remotely located, this is the only place you want to stay at! Michalis is a perfect host and I look forward to seeing him again next year!!!

It was originally planned for June of 2020 but COVID-19 restrictions had other plans. We worked with Michael to reschedule it to September of 2021 and it was even more magical. The villa is gorgeous and spacious. There were 14 of us there. The two separate kitchens, spacious living areas and beautiful outdoor patios gave us plenty of room for our friends and family. Most of the rooms have balconies overlooking the sea. We saw some spectacular sunrises from those balconies. We were supposed to have the ceremony outside by the pool but the weather turned windy and cooler that day so we moved it inside to the living area, lit candles all around and it was beautiful. The two large completely separate kitchens allowed us to have the meal after the ceremony catered at the villa. It felt like a second wedding. Michael helped us find an excellent chef to prepare the meal. We also had the chef prepare another meal there for a birthday celebration for one of our friends. Michael introduced us to a great tour guide who helped us coordinate some tours in area. I wish we lived closer to Greece so we could visit Stone Castle Villa every year.

We were a big family (3 generations) spending a weeks holiday together. The big Villa with all Its comfortable furnishings, cosy courtyard with pool and amazing sea view was a relaxing setting for everybody. We enjoyed going to the beach near by, snorkling off the rocks below the villa and spending a day taking in all the sights of Athens. Michael is a super host, very friendly and helpful with all our requests and needs during the week.

Our weeks stay has been fabulous! The property is spacious, clean, tidy and in the perfect spot overlooking the sea. It is great for families holidaying together as there is space to cook and eat together but also lots of terraces and rooms to get some quiet time - if needed! The area is quiet and it's not too far to visit places of interest and some breathtaking beaches. Local highlights were a trip to Athens, watching the sunset near Poseidon's Temple and lunch overlooking Marathon Reservoir. From our first communication with Michael he has been a great host, very welcoming and helping us to make the most of our stay - thank you!

We had four generations staying on a so called Familymoon after son’s wedding in the UK. The villa was everything in the pictures and more! It was spacious, clean and well equipped with all the necessities such as plenty of towels and both kitchens were well stocked to cope with large family meals. There were plenty of break out areas and balconies to enjoy quiet time to enjoy the breath taking views. Michael, our host, was charming and full of information and suggestions for day trips. Although a car is necessary to get around, there are plenty of lovely walks around the villa. We had a wonderful time and will certainly recommend the Villa.
