What a great little cottage! It was perfect for me and my friend. Easy and quick walk to beach. And the screen room was nice and cool even on incredibly hot days. Will definitely come back.

Love this location and property. This was our second stay here, in two different cottages. Old fashioned charm, with updated amenities -heating, cooling and water pressure, all excellent. And such a wonderful location, just steps from the beach entrance. Our hostess was gracious and helpful. We will be staying again!

Love the location of property ! We had a few issues with heating and contacted the owner with quick response we were able to workout. Maybe needs written instructions somewhere. Also found the coffeemaker and the oven were disgusting and dirty. Tried to cook with oven and it was so dirty it was smoking when turned on. Coffeemaker was also so dirty after cleaning it I still did not want to use. Owner needs to pay some attention to making sure appliances are clean and useable .

Nice place, great location, decently furnished and equipped, steps to the beach. Easy walk to nightlife. Nice for a couple or small family with a dog.

I have never given a negative review but the only good thing about this property was the location. The moment we walked into the cottage it felt and looked filthy. I do not believe this property was cleaned at all. There was dust, the smell of mold everywhere and the bathroom smelled of stale urine. While getting settled and making the beds, I kept bumping my foot on something under the queen bed. I found that Instead of replacing the metal bed frame they propped it up with cement pavers and instead of replacing the mattresses for the twin beds they put layers of foam in-between the mattress and box spring. There were tiny ants all over, which looking back at reviews has been an issue. They even had some stuck to the blinds in one of the bedrooms. Most of the windows are broken and screens are missing. We had a lot of trouble trying to close and lock them before bed the first night. The shower floor is very spongy and you felt like you would fall through at any moment. I cannot believe we paid so much to stay in such a filthy place and had to sleep on foam and a bed being held up by cement pavers. This was the worst VRBO stay we have had and would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had a great time during our stay. Great location- just a short walk to the beach. The owner was very attentive to the few issues we had upon arrival with air conditioning and overhead fan not working. Issues were resolved promptly. Hope to book the cottage again next year! Thank you Chris!

Location, location, location!! If you are looking for an ideal Dewey destination, look no further! Only a short walk to the beach and located perfectly to get your Dewey Crushes! Great location right in the thick of it. Perfect for a couple or small family. The porch was perfect for morning coffee! Would recommend.

The property is in a great location. It very close to the beach as well as a fun bar, restaurants and stores. The parking lot is roomy for the one space available to the unit. The property has a nice sized porch. The screen door is in poor shape. The front room is small but has adequate seating. The kitchen is small but adequate. The washer-dryer is in the kitchen. The bathroom is small and the shower is very small. The bedrooms are small but the beds are adequate. The AC units work. Not all fans work. The rugs need to be cleaned. The window treatments are not room darkening.

I would have liked to know that it was located directly behind another property. Other than that it was excellent location, excellent neighborhood, unfortunately when we arrived on Thursday at 3:pm, there were 10+ guys & girls directly next door within same property. Very loud, drinking games & didn't get quiet until 3am. We got no sleep. They didn't leave until 2:00 on Friday afternoon. A suggestion would be to warn the guests who would be renting next door, I would have cancelled. When they left everything was fine & we had good time.

Overall, we enjoyed the cottage and the close proximity to the beach. The cottage was clean and spacious enough for 4 people and 2 dogs. Chris was very responsive to questions asked. However, a more inclusive listing would have been helpful in understanding just exactly what would be provided for us. There were difficulties getting the A/C units to cool the bedrooms properly. The fans which we found in the closets were covered in dust and grime. We needed to go out and purchase bug spray for some sort of flying ants that were found on the inside of the bedroom windows as well as the bathroom window. Probably the most inconvenient thing for me though was the shower stall. You must reach to the opposite side of the stall with the sliding door open to turn the water on (which is initially cold) but then the water begins to hit the floor outside the stall. Not a good setup. Since it is a dog friendly unit, one suggestion would be to throw out the carpets (which are stained) and use vinyl or linoleum flooring which would be much easier to clean up pet accidents.

We loved staying at Rehoboth by the Sea for its proximity to beach and places to eat & drink. Cozy cottage had all we needed.

Not the fanciest place but for the price it's exactly what you need for a quick beach getaway. I went with my wife and 2 dogs and it was perfect for us. Couple steps from the beach entrance one way or downtown Dewey the other way. Kitchen worked great and there was ample space for all of us. Check-in/check-out was a breeze. Would highly recommend!

This was our second time staying in these cottages. It was perfect for our family with small children. Being close to the beach was very convenient along with the washer and dryer. Walking distance to everything we needed!

We enjoyed our stay at this no frills beach bungalow. The place was clean and the location is great. It is also well equipped. It is so close to the beach it’s practically ocean front. Also very close to fun bars and restaurants. Owner is very responsive. It would have been hard to comfortably accommodate 5 adults with only one bathroom, but the outdoor shower helped with that. We would rent again.

Furniture is dirty rugs very gross.

The cabin was in a great location just needed lighting for kitchen and the shower was awful but other than that it was adequate for our short stay.

The location of this property is great - walking distance to the beach and easy access to Dewey’s bars and restaurants. However, the property description was not correct. It promises 4 twin beds. They are all in one room with two beds stored as trundles underneath the main beds, but not all four could physically be pulled out at once - the room is too small. The indoor sleeper sofa was there but when opened it was absolutely filthy and not in a condition to be used. The place itself had the appearance of clean. But there were tons of ants and as stated above the sleeper sofa was completely gross and unusable. I would not recommend a stay here if you want to have more than 3 or 4 people. We had five and had nowhere for one person to sleep.

Perfect location and it was quiet. We wanted a quiet getaway for the 2 of us to relax. It was wonderful. Close to restaurants and beach.

We stayed here for a weekend anniversary trip and had a great experience! Though the cottage is a bit older, it was clean and cute and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and super convenient to the beach and restaurants. We would return in the future!

Small cottage tucked away beach side perfect for 2-3 people

I believe that if a very expensive property isn't going to offer sheets and towels, they should mention it, not merely leave it out. When I got to this rather run-down property I communicated with the owner who confirmed there were no linens, coffee, soap...the sort of things I have come to expect from a VRBO stay. It was just for one night, so we actually left and stayed with friends rather than buy sheets and towels. This was my fault for not reading carefully and checking, also not looking very carefully at the pictures to see this is a very old and not well kept up unit. But it is right on the beach so for many will be worth it.

A cozy cottage steps from the beach. Kids, dogs, and parents were comfortable and had space to relax.

House wasn’t as clean as to be expected when we first got there. I fought ants all week on the kitchen counter. There wasn’t extra garbage bags at all .

Well, after a nice stay here last year, this year unfortunately was awful. There were mice (yes, plural), & ants. The whole stay was consumed with cleaning and disinfecting surfaces after seeing mice & finding their droppings. After the cleaning lady provided a trap for us the second day of our stay, we did catch 3, but there was evidence of more daily. The owner said she would send an exterminator 4 days later, & we needed to let them in, so we wasted a day waiting for them to arrive. By 3 pm I reached back out wondering when they would arrive & the owner replied that they no longer needed to come in. It would have been great to know that earlier in the day. The owner did not seem concerned with our concern over the rodent infestation. When we were told by the cleaning crew the mice were bopping back & forth between the properties, the owner claimed ignorance. When the owner brought over ant traps, she still showed no concern over the way our whole trip was affected by the disgusting, gross mice we battled daily. She apologized curtly, but made no effort to amend the situation. It was extremely upsetting, & not much of a vacation to say the least.
